I have a Yamaha DGX220 Piano Keyboard Does anyone of you out there experience the same problem?
I have a Yamaha DGX220 Piano Keyboard and I have downloaded their driver. After downloading and installing there is no interfacing with the computer, it doesn't recognize the Yamaha Midi driver.
Does anyone of you out there experience the same problem? I have downloaded the Mavericks OS.. The Yamaha company thinks there is a bug within Mavericks that causes this no connection issue.

Your keyboard has a bulit-in Music recording device. This is actually a buiti-in digital MIDI music sequencer. It can also, output through the MIDI connectors the MIDI sequence to either software on a computer or other external MIDI devices like dedicated sound modules or computer software sound modules or software sequencers
I use both software MIDI music software sequencers and a dedicated hardware MIDI music recording sequencer in my system.
Dedicated digital MIDI hardwaremusic sequencers do the same things as the bulit-in sequencer on your keyboard and computer software music recording sequencing.
Digital MIDI music sequencers DO NOT RECORD SOUNDS.
They record things like what keys are pressed on the musical keyboard, how much key sensitivity and pressure was applied, other parameters like if you change the pitch of the keyboard up and down by half steps, the sound number and sound bank number, records pedal information, records wheel and pitch bend wheel information, records other MIDI active button controller information, etc.
Basically, keyboard sequencers, hardware sequencers and software sequencers record the performance nuances of your playing and NOT the actual sounds that you are hearing.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

Have latest version of iTunes installed and running. Also make sure you have internet access working and can access Apple websites. Also, make sure you don't have any entries in your hosts file referring to gs.apple.com....If your not sure about how to do that, go ahead and do the rest first. You can come back to that later.....Plug in phone. Put phone in DFU mode.(google put iphone in DFU mode for instructions) Then restore the phone in iTunes by highliting your device in the left column and click on the Restore button. The latest iOS version is 4.3.3. That's what iTunes will restore it to. When it's done restoring, iTunes will ask if you want to restore from a backup or setup as a new phone. I would use the Setup as a New Phone option. Once it's done, you should have a clean install of the iOS and an operating phone, as long as there are no hardware issues with it.

Does anyone else do other work on the same machine while digitizing?
I used to do this with my Dual867 G4, but it seems impossible on my new 2.1G5 iMac - ie. takes 5 minutes to just open Safari while digitizing...
Can it be that the iMac is just that bad at multitasking? This seems crazy to me, has anyone else experienced this?I do msn chat and internet browsing while I capture. However, it would be easier for the machine if you open the apps before starting to capture.
I think the dual 867 is a lot more powerfull than your imac.

I am living and working here in the sultanate of Oman. Its been two days that I have not been able to use viber on my iPhone unless I use VPN. I talked to colleagues who have iPhones and other apple devices and they said they are also experiencing the same problem. I tried to call up my service provider (NAWRAS) and they informed me that the problem is not on their side, that they have not blocked the app. Surprisingly, when I asked my colleagues using samsung, they said the app is working just fine. What seems to be the problem? Are the codecs (I hope I am using the right terms here) used by viber now are similar to that of the other messaging blocked apps like Tango, weChat and skype?

I understand that after you updated to iOS 8.2, while typing a message your iPhone seems to be locking itself. In this situation, there are a couple of different troubleshooting steps that I would recommend.
First, I would suggest closing the Messages application completely by using the instructions in the attached article below.
Force an app to close in iOS - Apple Support
After the Messages app is closed, I would recommend resetting your iPhone using the instructions in the next attached article. After the reset, open Messages fresh and attempt to use as you normally would.

I'm about to buy a keyboard, does anyone have a recommendation re best connectivity with Garageband? I've read about difficulties in this area
Most any USB keyboard is fine, it's a matter of budget and what keyboard tactile feel you prefer... they all work by plugging a USB cable from the keyboard to the computer and are recognized automatically.
Most have either a shift button that permits some mapping of instruments and other MIDI advanced stuff, others have dedicated buttons and displays. But any of them out of the box in default configuration is plug and play. -
i have a serious (and bizarre!) issue with my novation impulse (Although i've tried it with two other keyboards and i still have the same problem) and its compatibility with mainstage 3.

(Clearly i'm not alone in this problem, although i think i figured out what's going wrong a little more than he did...read on!)
his solution, to put mainstage in jump mode, is very unsatisfactory to me, as it bounces all of a sudden to drastically different settings.
basically, my analysis is that my controller is NOT receiving MIDI date from mainstage. in other words, mainstage knows what my controller is doing, but my controller doens't know what mainstage is doing.
let's say i turn the knob all the way to the right ... 127...and the virtual fader goes to the right like it's supposed to.
now...next...let's say i change to a different patch, where that same VIRTUAL fader is not at the max clockwise position..maybe it's only at 1pm. now when i turn the physical knob to the RIGHT, the midi data is still at 127 on the controller! it didn't "reset" to sync up with the new level (say 80 or so) setting on the new patch. so i can't increase that new setting of 80 by continuing to turn the knob to the right. i have to turn it all the way to zero,...and then continue PAST zero until the controller thinks that IT is at 0...at that point the controller and mainstage are in agreement, and things work fine....so bascially, the keyboard thinks the level is at max...but mainstage thinks the level is at 1pm.

I am using Logic Pro 9 with two MXL 990 microphones in my piano and a Rode NT1A for vocals. I have tried recording with added reverb and keeping getting not a natural reverb sound, but a rather "pixilated" one that does not sound natural. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this issue? I have tried using Silververb and Space Designer, and both result in the same problems. Thank you!
This is asking for the impossible! It does not sound natural because maybe it isn't and in judging so whats your reference anyway. If you are in dire need of some natural sounding room you can go and record it yourself. But even then, the chances that it sounds like you imagined it, are very slim.
There are very decent sounding reverberation plugins, based on artificial reverb generators or convolution-style, the last one is said to sound more 'natural' then the first one. Be it as it maybe, it really is like cooking food. You got all the ingredients for this delicious taste at hand and believe it or not to reach a satisfying result this is not enough, because if you do not mix the ingredients in the right proportion you will end up with a different dish you thought you'll get. This is exactly the same when one would mix audio, I dare say.
So treat yourself to some good ingredients and the rest is up to you, namely: taste and experience!
And looking at some of my past music productions I always find the same plugins for the 'ambient' task:
Altiverb by Audio Ease when I have acoustic ensembles (classical music mostly), the Sony Oxford Reverb in studio productions, Bricasti when I have to deal with drums and MMultiBandReverb from MeldaProduction for all-round stuff. Thats the base I start from, after that I can end up with dozen Reverb plugins which basically all are doing the same thing but just in a tiny different way. -
Been using an Avastor HDX-800 for storage and backup, also a SUPERDISK for smaller stuff; recently the SUPERDISK does not appear on the screen, and the light blinks while you hear it spin, also the Avastor has started to have the same problem, both USB conncected, both worked well before, but both now spinning, blinking, and not showing up on the screen as before,
Interestingly they both appear in the System Profiler, but just not working the same as before
I have tried other USB ports, but the same responce,yes I did reset the PRAM, but no benefit, still the same problem

I have a MacBook Pro early 2011. Does not start. After the apple show, a blank screen appear. The service said that the problem is with the video plaquue in the logic board. Need to change. Cost lmmost the same than a new MacBook Pro. Somebody has the same problem? What we can do?
I hate to break this to you, but life isn't fair. If your job is that critically in need of a computer, then you should have a spare to use for just this kind of situation or have your employer provide you with a computer to use.
Computers break down, just like cars. If your car breaks down do you curse the car maker or get it fixed? Surely, you paid more for your car than the computer.

If so, am I doing this on my new hard drive on on the time machine? When I do this on the time machine, what is "my home"? Also, I am unable to find "containers".

After I updated lion to 10.7.4, app store does not recognize my ID APPLE and it unable to connect me to app store in order to update/download apps? What have I to do? I have the same problem with mac mini e mac book air. Please help me!
Your advice did not help me. I also installed 10.7.4 combo but the situation is the same.
my internet connection is ok, mail is ok, but app store after 3 resets does not recognize my ID and it says "connection is not possible". Why? My iphone 4 doesn´t connect through Wi-Fi, Apple replaced my phone for a new one, but the new one has the same problem. I have an ipod third generation and it doesn´t have this problem. Having compared both working at the same time, the iphone alsways lags behind or doesn´t even connect to the internet via Wi-Fi. Does any one know what to do?? Thanks
Have you ever checked to see if there is an update for your router? If yes, then power off router. Then on iPhone go into settings and do a reset network settings. Power router back on, and try connecting phone to router.

For some reason the Apple ID window in iTunes and App Store now seems to suddenly have a character number constraint which prevents me using my 29 character Apple ID. As a result I am unable to enter the final few characters of my Apple ID which I have had for many years. Does anyone know what has caused this?
