My Ipod touch was lost at school a few days ago, and when I went to icloud, i located and found where the person who has my ipod lives. The cops were called so they could retrieve it, but as to have proof i have none, because i have accidently removed my ipod touch from icloud Find My iPhone. I am now wondering if there's any way to retrieve the device back onto icloud if it was once on there. I can't locate it now and show the proof, is there any other way to locate your ipod touch or to restore it back onto icloud?

Your proof is your receipt.
Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with your bank or any savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. Something as small as an iPod should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

When restoring from the backup, whatever is included with the backup from two days ago should be restored which includes photos/videos in the Camera Roll at the time of the backup along with all other data included with the backup at the time of the backup two days ago.

you can't reverse the process, once you accepted there is no other way, if you sync it to your itunes library in your computer it will automatically update the updated app as well.
What you can try though is delete the app from your iPad and try syncing it to your itunes library but if you set up iCloud it may update the app automatically

The iCloud backup does not include non-Tunes purchased music and photos that were synced to the iPod. The iCloud backup does not also included a few other things included in the iPod backup that iTunes makes.
The iPod backup that iTunes makes does also not included non-iTunes purchases and photos synced to the iPod.
free programs like iFunBox with copy non-iTunes purchased music and some other things from iPod to computer. A paid program like TouchCopy is needed to copy photos synced to the iPod to a computer.

I have the exact same problem. I did the update on my iPhone 5 yesterday, opted for the iCloud set up in the update and then it wiped my contacts. They are not on my phone or in the cloud...

You can look for it.
If you find it, you will have it back.
If you had find my iphone activated on the iphone BEFORE it was lost, then you may be able to track it.

If you didn't set up "Find my iPhone" there is no way. Notify your carrier, your insurance company, police, and change any compromised passwords.

If you really moved it to the Trash and emptied the Trash, your best option is to restore the iPhoto library from your backup.
But if you did not actually trash the library and it is just missing, search for it with Find Any File as described by Old Toad in this post: Re: iPhoto Library is missing. What do I do?
If you don't have a backup and cannot find the library, you will need to buy recovery software to find the photos, but that will not restore the library.

No app on the iPod is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or conbtinue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown/shown off, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

Only if you have an iPhone backup from the time before you deleted the app. App data and settings are part of the backup, but iTunes replaces the existing backup with a new one when you sync. Only backups used to restore the phone will not be replaced and marked with a time stamp.
If you included the iphone backup folder into your computer backup routine, you could restore the folder and use the iphone backup to restore your phone. But all data will be set back to theat point in time when the backup was taken.

All contacts on your iPhone should be available on your computer. Not a good idea to depend on an iPhone or any cell phone alone for such important data. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
Contacts and photos/videos in the Camera Roll should be included with your iPhone's backup which should have been created or updated by iTunes as the first step during the restore process - unless you declined the option.
If you declined the option, the data is gone. If not, restore your iPhone again from the backup that was created or updated before the previous restore.

I need to talk to someone about changing all of my accounts. A iCloud account was opened not by me and I lost 17 years of contacts. I have slowly gotten them back. My files from my Mac Book were taken and are gone. It has cost me about 60,000 dollars in business since November which has effected my staff as well. Many personal ireplacable memories of my childrens Photos were taken, Business, designs and accounting and personalFiles you name it gone or corrupted. My main PC including 4 external hard drives, then the Mac Book, My Iphones,itouch. Ipad were next and then my Mac Book pro. This is very humbling and heart felt. those who work with me have very strong beliefs, it was an internal doing or I should say someone gained or was allowed access to my home and equipment. I travel and tour and am gone quite a bit. This was and is the most difficult thing that has happened to me in a long time. In truth business and work will and can be rectified that not the point. It's how and what has been done which is the most damaging very personal almost vidictive but I will stop there. I feel so violated and saddened at the same time. I am hoping to contact someone through Apple or even an outside source to see if my files can be recouped and how to go about doing these changes all at once without all of the emails back and forth to approve changes in accounts what a pain. I have won awards for my work and my designs and information being taken has hurt more than words can express. I am currently out of town doing this late at night. I have changed my banking you name it. I need to have access to my computers to work but the stress of these constant changes and invasion of privacy are beyond expression. I plug in any of my usb drives and they are empty or my computers do not recognize them. I plug in my usb connector from my HP 8100 Printer with Blue tooth capabilities and it pops up and an external E drive for downloading just like an external drive. My printer acepts every imaginable portable disk on the market . Many of my usb drives are gone or have been corrupted. I have this darn air drop that goes on all the time. My computers I turn off and then they are on when I get up. I can go on and on. I live in the bay area and I am asking for help in trying to stop all of this. I will call Apple next but I wanted to put it out on this forum with the hopes of some response or input. I have all of my new and very minimal recovered information now on a web-based server which I know is safe the pass words and set up were done very discreetly (one can only hope). I apologize in advance for laying this out there like this. I am just so frustrated and because of the POSSIBLE implications makes it even harder In which I truly want to be proven wrong. I have never written or thought that I would be doing this as it is. If anything I hope some good comes out of this for someone. Bluetooth is a powerful tool this much I know now. Wow this is just simply amazing. There are 14 products I have purchased. I have been a windows person for years because of my work somethings are prapriatary to that OS but I love the Apple products. I am despratley trying not to nor will I throw in the towel. I know its a great product and its not the product. I just want to have the best opotunity to recover and have control over my designs and pretty much my privacy and peace of mind not too much to ask..:-) Oh! do not get me wrong I am willing to pay for services thats not the issue here. Save all the photos from your Droid into a folder on your computer.
Connect your device to your computer. On iTunes left Pane, select iPhone under 'Devices'; then on the right Pane, select PHOTO tab. Make sure Sync Photo box is checked, and "from" box selected the folder that has Droid's photos. Then click the SYNC or APPLY button on the lower right window.
