I have activation issues in 3GS after move to iOS5

Hi
I cannot activate my 3GS after upgrade to iOS5, it says the activation server is temporarily unavailable, what can I do?
Non of my friends in the office had this problem, just me

Same problem here, after updating my 3gs to iOS 5.

I have restored my iphone 3gs after having only the apple logo, it took me through all the restore, a page saying 'congrats your phone is now unlocked', and allowed me to chose to set up from new or back up....yet still displays only the apple logo.

i cannot unbrick my 3GS after upgrading to iOS5.1.1 it is not giving me an option to factory reset. When i hook up with iTunes to unbrick it after 3-4 mion it says there is no SIM card please insert SIM and SIM card is inside phone which i was using before upgrading iOS. please help

Assuming you're still using Telus, I'd say take it into their shop and get a fresh replacement SIM. If it wasn't hacked or jailbroken, that's the most likely explanation. I realize you've tried different ones, but it's worth a shot.
You might want to try putting it in DFU mode and restoring again as well. If those things don't work, it's probably time for a trip to the Apple Store to have it looked at.

Basic troubleshooting steps in the following order.
1. Reset. Press and hold both Power and Home Buttons together till Apple Logo appears.
2. Restore to a backup.
3. Backup, Restore in iTunes and setup as new.

New Issue with office after move

We just relocated one of our satellite offices to a new location and while we didn't change anything to the internal/VPN network, our public IP changed - but that's it as far as internet connectivity goes.
This site does NOT have an SBS set up, and prior to the move, everyone was working fine.
After the site move, we have ONE user who is on the same network and DID range as everyone else, who is able to receive calls.
The others, regardless of which phone type they use (USB or Polycom / LG) will have a call just drop after 5 seconds. Outbound calls from any user connect and work normally.
Yes, we ARE using Intelepeer. No, we aren't using more than one IP address. The SBS box is in another city that is physically separated from this office, and our core network is located in another state altogether.
At a loss. Not sure what happened. The logs don't show anything out of the ordinary, and our contact that performed the Lync migration (from OCS 2007 R2) even checked it out and scratched his head.

Well, what would we have to reconfigure? The site that moved does NOT have a server located at it - it simply changed physical locations, but the internal routes are all identical. The ONLY thing that changed is the office location necessitated
a different external IP address, but since the network at this site doesn't use anything external, it should have no bearing on that, at least from what I can see.
All of the routes to our SBS, Mediation server, and core server are identical. Nothing has changed from the client's perspective. Also, why would the site that DOES have the SBS server have a problem? Absolutely nothing changed there?
Errors indicate nothing out of the ordinary - our lync engineer ran the tracing and can't determine anything - the calls connect and all looks well, then suddenly the calls just drop. It ONLY happens on inbound calling to the off-site offices. Our
core site works fine. If we use the test user at our main office, he can send and receive calls just fine, but the minute we have him log in physically from one of the two affected offices, he is unable to accept inbound calls.

No, I did not find a way to fix it. Went to Apple store to be told that the phone is dead and I would need to purchase a new phone. A little frustrated with the fact that it is Apple who caused the phone to not work!

Not sure of an answer to your basic question, but it may be that you can run a repair (on Windows --> Control Panel>Programs & Features and run the repair on Acrobat). If that fixes the issue, at least temporarily, at least you will not be reinstalling everything -- a real pain.
Next, open Acrobat and go to the Help to run the updates and be sure you are current. On some OSs, the updates are critical.

Can't synch Notes or Contacts from iPhone 3GS after upgrade to iOS5

After I upgraded to iOS5 on my iPhone 3GS, I no longer can synch Notes and Contacts from iPhone to Outlook or iCloud. Calendar synchs OK.

After 2 hours with Apple Support, which was great, we figured out the issue. 1-800-my-iphone. When I upgraded to iOS5 and started using the iCloud, I was unaware that my previous synching settings were still set to Yahoo.com where I had been sycning wirelessly in the past. So the Apple support tech showed me that I had multiple accounts in both Notes and Contacts. I had iPhone, iCloud, yahoo, Outlook accounts and my default settings on the iphone should have all been set to icloud. Syching was occuring, but not in icloud. It took a little manual conversion of some Notes and Contacts into the icloud folders in Outlook, but now everything works and I only display and use the iCloud accounts in Notes and Contacts. Apple realizes that this is an issue for those of us that were previously using Yahoo and equivalents for wireless synching and they provded my support free. Usually they charge $27. All is well.

Why don't I have my App Store apps after upgrading to iOS5?

I just upgraded my iphone to iOS5. Before upgrading I created a backup in iTunes. After upgrading I restored from backup. All of the apps I downloaded/purchased from the App store are now missing on my iPhone Only the core apps that come preinstalled on iOS5 are present.
However, all the music, contacts, and photos that were previously on my iphone are still there (ie the contents and settings in the core apps have been restored). Also, folders that I had previously put core apps into have been recreated.
Does this point to any error I made in the upgrade process? I didn't transfer purchases from iPhone to iTunes when prompted before the upgrade, nor do I sync apps between iPhone and iTunes. I assumed all this content would be included in the backup.

To answer my own question. Yes, the steps I took prior to upgrade were insufficient to have my apps restored after the upgrade. I should have checked sync apps in iTunes or manually transferred purchases from iPhone to iTunes prior to upgrade.
