With just the free Reader? No way that I know of. You would need Acrobat.

When you have downloaded it, then clean out the old adobe reader and then try to install the latest one, i had to do this about a week ago and it solved the problem.

Is Adobe Reader Touch (using windows 8) supposed to be able to edit pdfs, or just view them? Please help!

I cannot edit pdfs using Adobe Reader Touch. Going out of my mind. My Windows 8 laptop can barely save them, never mind edit them.
Or is Adobe Reader Touch only able to read them? Is it a cheaper version installed in the laptop to keep the laptop prices down?
If it can edit pdfs please tell me how!!

Adobe Reader Touch App is a PDF viewer app with editing functionality restricted to saving the PDF after commenting or PDF forms filling.
Commenting includes:
    > Adding Sticky Note
    > Highlighting text
    > Strikethrough text
    > Underline text
For more PDF editing and lot more value added features for PDF related workflows, you can try Acrobat desktop version. Try at this link for Acrobat Pro XI or Acrobat Standard

There really isn't anything in the information you provided to indicate that you have been hacked, and you don't have a virus. Worse case is that you have been hit With a web traffic redirect wihich will NOT allow any outside access to the iPad.
Some steps you can take:
Clear the browser cache: Open the settings app, select Safari, then tap the Clear History and the Clear Cookies buttons (make sure you have the Fraud Warning turned Pn while you are at it)
Reset the iPad: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider should it appear. Takes about ten seconds. Restart the iPad using the On button.
Check your iOS versions. If you hven't updated to 5.1.1 yet, you might consider that. It has a security fix that helps prevent this.
As suggested above, as a last resort, restore the iPad to factory settings.
But again, it is HIGHLY unlikely you have been hacked. And you do NOT have a virus.

I'm sorry, let me explain. I have throughout the office Adobe Reader 7. We just upgraded all users to Adobe Reader 9. Since we have done that, any Fillable Form that we have can still be filled in, BUT it cannot be saved and re-used like it can with Adobe 7 or 8. So the problem is anyone in the office who has PDF forms that they previously could fill in and save, they now have to send the forms to the IT department so that we can open them, re-enable them, then re-save them and send them back to the user to fill them out & save. So my question is, why doesn't Adobe 9 allow you to save filled in forms like the earlier versions did, and is there something easy (like apply a patch) to allow this to happen.

I have adobe reader pro 9 and was trying to convert a pdf to powerpoint document. I was able to purchase the pdf export so that I can convert pdf to excel and word documents, but I need to be able to do the same thing to a pdf to powerpoint.

First of all, why did you say yes to Nero Back up before researching what it does with files already on the HDD? When I install Nero, the Back Up is the first thing I disable, it is a nagging pain, there are much better backup programs available. There are several file recovery programs out there to recover deleted files, that is, if that is what happened. Also, if you haven't overwritten the files, so you should be able to find them.

By default, Reader updates occur automatically via the Reader app itself, and this is the most secure way to receive updates. While you can choose to update manually (by choosing Help > Check for Updates), you may not always get critical updates as they're released. See Automatic updates | Acrobat, Reader. If you receive an email about needing to update Reader, you should ignore it, as that is where the malicious updates can come from. Just make sure you're letting the updates happen from within Reader, either automatically or manually.

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.
