I have adobe reader installed in my computer and I cannot pull up any attachments

What is your operating system?
What is your Reader version?
What exactly means "cannot"?  Are these local or online documents?  If online, in what browser?

Live Cycle installation doesn't require any product key.

  • HT204347 I need to find out what is wrong with my Macbook Pro. I have Adobe Reader installed on it and Adobe Flashplayer installed on it. I am not able to do anything with either of these programs, no videos, printing certificates, etc.

I have adobe reader installed on my Macbook Pro and also Adobe flashplayer installed. I am not anble to see any video from the net, news feeds, or anything like that on my computer. I cannot print off certificates that I need all it does when I attempt to print the certificate is that it shows that it is loading and comes back and tells me there was an error in loading the information. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks

That message is NOT from Adobe, and has nothing to do with Adobe's approval for anything.
Quite the opposite: Adobe Reader is NOT YET RUNNING, Adobe aren't involved. Some other app or program is putting out that message. Have you tried giving that permission?

Did you launch the Adobe Reader application separately (outside of the browser) and accept the EULA?

I followed the FAQ troubleshooting and that didn't help

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

  • Why can't I open up PDF's when I have Adobe Reader installed?

    Hello,
I'm using Tiger and whenever I get to a website where I want to download a PDF or view it my computer won't let me. I get this wording that says it can't find a program to install even though I have Adobe Reader. I have Adobe Reader 7.0.8 and then I just installed Adobe Reader 9.
Is there a way to fix this problem?

Do you mean the browser won't let you download and that message appears in the browser or do you mean the message appears after you have downloaded and try to open the file?
If the former have you tried Control-clicking the link in the browser to save the file to your HD?
If the latter have you tried dropping the file onto the Reader (or Preview) icon?
Can you open the Reader you have installed by double clicking its icon?

  • I cannot view PDF file (though have Adobe Reader 9 on my computer)

Why do I get the message "the application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.  Reinstalling application may fix this problem" whenever I try to open a PDF file (both from Email and from Harddrive). I have Adobe Reader 9.  Does anyone have any clues?  Thanks.

Uninstall, use the Microsoft Installer Cleanup tool to remove anything left in the Registry, then re-install.

  • Adobe Reader install error codes 1303 and 150210

I cannot install Adobe Reader XI 11.0.09  I get Error 1303, which is insufficient privileges to access directory c:\Program Files(86) (I have disabled my antivirus program),  and setup error code 150210 which says Setup interrupted before Adobe Reader could be completely installed.I don't know what else to do. I need to have Adobe Reader on my laptop.

You can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:
    http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
    http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

  • I have Adobe Reader Version 11.0.03 and can't open PDFs.  Would appreciate some help.

I have Adobe Reader Version 11.0.03 on a new iMac OSX Version 10-8.4 and can't open PDFs.  Here's the message I get:  "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired."   Any help would be appreciated!

What buttons do you get to click on with this message? What browser are you using (e.g. Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer...)

  • I have Adobe reader installed, but can't open pdfs in Firefox and it doesn't show in the Applications tab.

When I click on a pdf link, the new tab opens but doesn't show the content of the pdf. There is no error message. When I look under Tools, Options, applications, there is no option for handling pdfs. I have the Adobe reader for Firefox installed.

  • I can't install newest adobe reader version, OS X Yosemite and iTunes cannot be opened.

First I tried multiple times to install Adobe Reader's new update. It says:
    Adobe Reader installation error
installer: Package name is Adobe Reader XI(11.0.09) installer: Installing at base path / installer: The install failed ( The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.)
Then for the OS X Yosemite's installation, it says
OS X Yosemite failed to download. Use the Purchases page to try again.
I did so and the same message appeared again. (I also tried to install Mavericks 10.9.5 but since the Adobe Reader's problem, for some reason I can't to do any updates.)
Now I tried to open iTunes and it won't open as well.
    iTunes cannot be opened.
I'm guessing it won't open because of the Yosemite update. I really don't know what to do. Help!
Extra info: I have the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display and Webroot Security Anywhere Antivirus.

I only have English selected in my Languages.  I've seen that as a suggested fix in the past.

  • If I have Microsoft Office installed on my computer and I upgrade the OS, will I lose that program?

I downloaded Office using an internet purchase through school and am not sure if I have the capabilities to log back in to download it since I graduated.  I want to upgrade to the new operating system, but do not want to have to purchase Office again. Thank you!

You should not lose the program, but make sure you have the installation code as you may have to re-enter it to activate Office after the upgrade.
