I have adobe x and adobe exporter but when i open a pdf my 'tools' icon is gone?

i am trying to export a pdf to excel and have done so many many times,,,but i do not have the option of signing into pdf exporter today?

i did not know how to let anyone know, i'm good to go, removed old reader and installed reader xi

Make sure Readr is closed. Go to the Applications form, look for the Adobe Reader icon, double click on it, and follow the lead. Restart Reader when finished.

On you iPad, force close all the Apps in the multitask window.
Follow these steps to force an app to close:
From the Home screen, click the Home button twice.
Tap and hold on the app.
When it starts to jiggle, tap the to close it on eby one until all cleared
Now do a Soft reset of your iPad:
Hold both Home and Sleep button for around 10secs until you see the Apple logo then release. After it returns to Home screen, check and see if this resolves the issue.

One thing often tried first is to create a new document and File>Place the corrupted one to see how much may be rescued that way (remember to tick Paste remembers Layers in the Layer palette flyout/dropdown first, and to untick it afterwards).

The Problem is, when I open a PDF in Firefox 4 (with the Adobe Reader 10 Plug-In) you cannot type anything in the adress-bar or in the Search-Bar! Also when i press the "back"-Button or open another Tab, the Adress-Bar and Search-Bar is frozen! When i press my Home Button and leave the PDF-Site it works fine again! Is this a problem of the Plug-In or a Firefox-Problem?

It seems to be a problem with Adobe Reader X Plug-in. Visit adobe.com to download and install Adobe Reader X (even if you already have it). I did this and it said "installing updated patch". Went back to Firefox to check and problem solved! :)
ps. did not need to disable any previous plug-in or even close Firefox.

To make Adobe Acrobat XI the default viewer for viewing PDF files, follow these steps:
1. Right-Click on any PDF file.
2. From the menu that appears, Select Open With -> Choose Program
3. Now browse and select Adobe Acrobat X from the available programs
4. Check the Check box present at the bottom of the list that says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" and press OK.
The default PDF viewer should change for you. If you need further assistance in this regard, browser to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307859.

In trying to reinstall the Adobe Pro 9, I keep getting the message that I ado not have a valid serial number. But I am using the number Adobe shows as the number with which I registered the product. Need this program to work. Any advice?

If it's a CS5 number you need to install with your Creative Suite disks, NOT an Acrobat download.

Adobe Reader X tries to print when I open a PDF.

Whenever i double click on a PDF in explorer, Adobe Reader opens the PDF and tries to print it. The print dialog box comes up as soon as the file is opened. I had assumed the command line for the default action had a switch for printing, but I don't think that is the case. It doesn't seem to happen with ALL PDFs. Just some. Is this something that can be set within the PDF when it's generated by Acrobat?

Yes, it's possible to set up a PDF to try to print itself as soon as its opened. To test if it's that try to disable JS (via Edit - Preferences - JavaScript), and then open the file. Also, if you could share one of these files I could have a look and let you know if that's the reason for this behaivour.

My home page is google and it works but when I open a new tab it displays an error message :Firefox can't find the file at chrome://quick_start/content/index.ht

I've made sure a dozen times that my home page is set correctly, and when I hit the home button next to the search bar it works and takes me right to google BUT whenever i open a new tab i get the error that my page cannot load and the web url that it keeps trying to remember is in the error message:

of course the last dot is not the url anymore but the end of the sentence for the error message, but i don't ever use chrome ever on my laptop only my cell so what is going on????? help fix god please!!!!!!

Do you have the FastStart extension?

any new tabs opened go to yahoo search, I prefer using google to search, yet there does not seem to be an option to change this. Older versions of Firefox opened tabs to your home page, this version doesn't, nor do I have a way to change the setting in the options menu that i'm aware of.
