What app are you trying to play the files inside? Try iTunes.
I assume these files have DRM from the iTunes store. The Mac needs to be authorized to play them, open iTunes & select Authorize in the store menu, then sign in with the Apple ID that purchased the files.
Select the iTem in iTunes & get info on it (from the File menu) & you can see the account name that it belongs to.

A program called "tudosearch" interferes with my Firefox - it always comes up when I try to open Firefox or if Firefox tries to call up another program. I can not find a way to get rid of it.

When I try to open Firefox, a window comes up saying that Firefox can not run Tudosearch. I then have to exit this window before I can go on. It also comes up when I try to go to another website while in

I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have even totally uninstalled firefox, and that has not fixed this. I still get the same message that firefox is running and I need to close it or restart (which I have also tried dozens of times). I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. Which operating system are you running on?
Try starting the organizer while holding down the shift key. Hopefully, it should load the Catalog Manager.
Select your current catalog and click on the Repair button. Once it has finished, click on the Open button to see if the catalog opens.

I was given this code and found another only slightly different. I've seen them both working but when I try to put it on my page, it doesn't matter what I do, I can't get either to work. Just slap it somewhere on the server and give the path to it in codebase. Like if you have the .class in /foo/bar/Baz.class codebase should be "/foo/bar/" - and code "Baz".

Using airport extreme in china - can't get it to work

I just moved to china and have been trying to set up a new Airport Extreme dual band to my high speed internet connection but can't get it to work (bought the AE in the US and worked fine there). I have a Green light on the physical AE, and in Network Status section under Network Diagnostics I get green lights on Airport, Network Settings and ISP, but yellow/red on Internet and Server. The type of internet connection is direct, supplied by China Telecom with no router/modem in my unit, but with ethernet cable running directly to the phone room connection. I manually set up the AE using the same IP address, subnet, DNS as shows up when I plug the ethernet cable directly into my computer, with the internet working fine with a direct connection to computer and no AE.

What you did makes complete sense Mike, but if you don't have access to the router you may have to get your ISP to recognize your Extreme's MAC address:
AirPort Base Station: ISP provisioning may prevent Internet connection via broadband (cable or DSL)
For example: Suppose that you have a computer connected to a cable modem before purchasing an AirPort Base Station. Your Internet service provider might recognize your computer's MAC address as the correct one for your account. Your new base station then takes the position on your network that was formerly occupied by your computer, but you have not taken any action to let your Internet service provider (or its hardware) know the new address. The base station then sends packets to your Internet service provider that do not contain the required MAC address, and the packets are ignored.
It may be as simple as leaving everything disconnected from your service provider for a period of time. You might also try turning Connection Sharing "off" (bridge mode).

When connected to NETGEAR WNR1000, I can't remotely access Airport Extreme attached hard drive.

I have a hard drive connected to my Airport Extreme at home and I am staying at a friend's place where I am connecting to the Internet via a NETGEAR WNR1000 router (which is routing a broadband-cable connection from Comcast Xfinity).
When I am connected directly to the cable modem, the Airport Extreme's drives shows up in my Finder but when I'm connected via the NETGEAR router it doesn't show up.
There must be some setting in the NETGEAR router that is blocking access but I've not got clue one what setting I need to adjust or change on the router.
Could someone please advise me?

I checked the NETGEAR router settings and it was not configured to block any services or sites. I did as you advised and set up Port Mapping/Forwarding from 548 to the IP assigned to my Mac but nothing showed up in the Finder (no Shared Devices etc).
I then connected directly to the cable modem via ethernet and Shared Devices showed up in my Finder window with my Airport Extreme. I connected to one of the drives connected to the AEBSn, then unplugged the ethernet and connected the NETGEAR back to the cable modem and thus my MacBook Pro was connected via WiFi to the NETGEAR router and to the Internet.
Shared Devices disappeared from my Finder window, BUT the HD I had connected to remained connected. It was listed under my MacBook Pro's name (3rd item after the local HD, "Network"). The icon is a blue and white drive with the WiFi logo on it.
I verified that I could access the files on this remotely connected drive and did a Get Info and in the window that popped up it said "Server: afp://MilkBar._afpovertcp._tcp.malckwan.members.mac.com/Untitled%2001".
I tried to use the Connect To (Cmd-K) to connect to another drive attached to the AEBSn (Untitled%2002) using the same formatted address but could not connect.
PS. I did verify that I was mapping Port 548 to the current IP assigned to the MacBook Pro.

I have a iBook G3 running 10.3 800MHz with Airport card installed but can'r get it to connect with Airport Extreme knows it works my daughter connect to it with her PC but I can't get it to work with my iBook Put in all the Wireless Network name and password but then it tells me password is wrong and only gets a signal if I click on Other Airport then it ask for Closed Network Name and Password then it comes up There was a error joining the selected Airport network
Can any one help this dummy

What model and firmware is the 2TB TC?
What firmware is the AE?
Does the AE get good signal from the TC in its current location?
Signal can only be extended that is received intact.
Is it extending on 5ghz? As I remember it a Gen2 AE is only single band, although you can choose either 2.4ghz or 5ghz.
I am fairly sure you are going to tell me your TC is AC model..
I would do a couple of things..
1. Fix the wireless name, make it short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric.
2. Fix the wireless channel for 2.4ghz so it is not going to jump around.
3. Get real results from the AE in its current location for signal strength.. this is really only possible on v5 utility. And that is a double pain with Mavericks because you cannot use it.
Apple have removed all the useful diagnostics from the airport utility. There is next to nothing left. So you need to use the computer and its diagnostics to find signal levels in the location.

There is no other way than to plug into a computer to restore the phone. You can use another computer to do so, but in case you did not back up to iCloud your data and settings will be gone.

IPhoto Library, AirPort Extreme & attached Drive

Hello, I have multiple iPhoto libraries spanning 100gbs, it's getting too large for my MBP. Plus next time I upgrade my MBP it'll have a SSD and so my libraries will definitely be too big. I want to be able to access my libraries without having to plug in an external drive. So my plan is to move my iPhoto libraries to a drive attached via USB to my Airport Extreme. I will then backup that drive with a cloud based backup solution. I appreciate accessing iPhoto libraries via wifi may cause increased response times but is there any problems I should be aware of with this solution? What would you recommend?

Besides what are the alternatives, if my house was flooded, burnt or robbed I'd also lose the external disk backups.
Multiple back ups to HD stored offsite.
My Library lives on my iMac. It’s Backed up to two external hard disks every day. These disks are permanently attached to the iMac. These back ups run automatically. One is done by Time Machine, one is a bootable back up done by SuperDuper
It’s also backed up to a portable hard disk when ever new photos are added. This hard disk lives in my car. For security, this disk is password protected.
I have a second off-site back up at a relative’s house across town. That’s updated every 3 or 4 months.
My Photos are backed up online. There are many options: Flickr, Picasa, SmugMug etc. However, check the terms of your account carefully. While most sites have free uploading, you will often find that these uploads are limited in terms of the file size or the bandwidth you can use per month. For access that allows you to upload full size pics with no restrictions you may need to pay.
Every couple of months I test the back ups to make sure they are working correctly. It’s very easy to mis-configure a back up application, and the only way to protect against that is to do a trial restore.
