My iphone 4s will not switch on. Supposidly it has been "charging" all day and stll it does not have enough life to switch on. You cannot get Applecare plus now.
It is unlikely that they will replace as it is damaged. The only way to find out is to make an appointment at the genius and and see what they say.

What file format(s) are the "links"?
If raster images, do they contain clipping paths or transparency?
What is your platform and OS?
Were the FH documents created on the same platform (Mac or PC) as the one you are currently using?
Were the linked files created on the same platform (Mac or PC) as the one you are currently using?
Can you reproduce the problem with a newly created document and the same linked images?
There was once an issue with transparent 1-bit TIFF images shifting, but I believe that was in a previous version of FH.

Either use 'SYLKPIX Developer Studio SE' to develope the RAW files and to save them in another lossless format like TIFF, or try if Adobe's free DNG Coverter can convert your Lumix RAW files to dng. Then import the dngs. This way, your files will still be RAW files. This works (most times) for my Lumix FZ28.

From the names I'd guess they are temporary files. If excel is running, quit and try again. If they still won't move or delete reboot. If they still won't move or delete...kill a chicken at midnight under an oak tree?

Settings > iCloud > iCloud photo settings, then turn off photostream and photo sharing.

The built-in Extract command will do it, but if you want each letter named using a specific name you would need a script.

Using iTunes I moved my vacation photos onto my iPad3; however, some of my videos did not transfer even though I clicked on "include videos" in iTunes. How do I get these videos to load onto my iPad? Thank you.

Using iTunes I transferred my vacation photos from my MacBook to my iPad3. Some are videos and some of them did not transfer onto the iPad. One transferred into the photo album and worked as a video and also transferred into the Video album. These videos were shot with a Pentax camera and have the extension .MOV. How can I get them to transfer to the iPad3? Thank you.

The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).

I have a macbook air that is running 10.6.8 and it will not connect to my 4s that is running ios 6.1.3 and apple is telling me that the two aren't compatible? The air wont recognize the phone when it is plugged in through USB. So am i just screwed?

I'm baffled. The current iTunes (11.0.4) runs on OS X 10.6.8. If I were you, I would download the current iTunes:
iTunes 11.0.4
... and see if that solves your issue.
... but note your MacBook Air late 2010 can run Mountain Lion, so that would undoubtedly solve the problem for you, whether or not simply loading iTunes does.

I upgraded to imovie 9 and now it wont recognize my sony dcr trv 25 movie camera. I have a conopus coverter that works to inport my video with an s cable but no audio. How do I get imovie 9 to recognize my camera?

I've been to the apple store and they thought my camera was defective but I can input video with my canopus con verter with the s cable . But it has no audio. Imovie 6 recognized my sony movie trv 25 camera and I imported without a problem. I can't find an rca to dv cable for this sony camera which would
let me use my converter box. Can I find and download Imovie 6 , import my movies and then import them to imovie 9???

I do not know that camera, but with many, there is a set scheme for the connections, to get things to work. It seems to differ by make/model, but many have found that just by changing the order of turning things on, and invoking the Capture module, things will usually work.
The connections are camera to computer via FW cable, then turn ON camera in proper mode, then launch PrE, then go to Capture. Users have found that their camera will require, say, plug-in, launch PrE, THEN turn ON camera, then launch the Capture module. As you can see, there can be variations in when one does each part of that chain, and it can make a difference. I would sit down with a pad and pencil, and test each possibility. If one works, that would be the scheme that I would then use.

PS - the only thing that I would NOT do would be to turn ON the camera, prior to connecting via the FW cable. That can cause big issues.

sorry for the confusion, that response was meant to defend your solution to iamcem (i should have quoted their response when i posted mine). they were saying that changing the region was a bad idea, and that the change should be made in the default weather app. i was explaining to them that although their's was a simple solution, it only worked on the iphone. i was trying to explain why their solution wouldn't work on the ipad, and so why your solution was the best available.

The songs that you downloaded on the iPad can be transferred to the computer when you sync with iTunes. For the music from your cousins computer - if they were purchased with his Apple ID - you can't sync them to your iTunes account.

To delete any apps but the ones that are hard wired into your ipad, hold your finger down on the app icons until they start to wiggle. When they do, you'll see red circles with white X's in them. Tap on that and follow the prompt to delete the app.
If you can't delete apps, look in settings, general, restrictions and make sure that deleting apps hasn't been locked out.
