If you use Google for most of your data (calendar, email, contacts), you can sync both devices. My work phone is an Android phone but, because I use Gmail and Google calendar and have my Gmail set up as an Exchange account on my iOS devices, everything stays in sync.

Does the iPad and iBooks only sync in iCloud for purchases as I appear to be doing something wrong. I could sync ok when books was in iTunes but since migrating to Mavericks I think I'm doing something wrong!!

I did the camera raw update and downloaded the dng software.I also downloaded the adobe app manager. I am not sure where to go from here. Do I have to upgrade to ps 12 or is there a way to make this work?

You need Camera Raw 6.7 for the 5D Mk III
If going to Help -> Updates doesn't work, try a manual update.

It really can take very long to import and process so many images - I would not dare to make a prediction.
Can you open the Activity Viewer?
From Aperture's main menu bar: Window > Show Activity.
This window will tell you the filename of the image that is currently being processed.
if you are seeing, that the import is still far from being finished, you might to pause certain tasks directly from this panel, like the generation of previews or scanning for faces. I'd let the import run, if you see that it is making progress.
Have you enabled very time-consuming options, like the generation of high resolution previes or scanning for faces and places? if yes, and the import is not making any progress at all, I'd disable thes options in the Aperture preferences for the initial import. You can add these later for the projects where you want to use these features.

Yes, you can go apply for a new AppleID, which would be <your account>@icloud.com.
Then put this new AppleID into the icloud account field.
After this action, you will not be seeing the same contacts and appointments.
But for the itunes store, you still can use the same AppleID so that you can share purchases.
My wife and I use separate icloud accounts, and then we use a 3rd appleid for our itunes store. This allowed us to have separate contacts but still share itune purchases. -

Thanks for your timeDo you both sync to the same computer or have separate computers? If separate, my recommendation is to set up individual apple IDs and then use home sharing if you want to share music or apps or other content. I don't think you HAVE to though.

I FORGOT MY IPAD4(wifi) password and it got disabled now how can i recover it?? By the way the wifi is of and the location services and find my ipad are enabled now what can i do to recover it???? PLZ HELP!!!
Entering your Wifi password will not - unless I'm missing something completely - disable your iPad. The only thing which will disable your iPad that I'm aware of is entering your passcode for iPad incorrectly multiple times.

If you have forgotten your password for your router the WPA or WPA2 key as it's also known as they you will need to log in to your Router and setup a new WPA(2) key.

I just got an iPhone 5c. Is there a way to sync it to my iPad so that all the apps on the phone are the same as the ipad? I want the to devices to be exactly the same.
You can back up your iPad, then restore the backup to your 5c. This will not transfer camera roll photos or apps that are not compatible with an iPad, but it will transfer other data, settings, apps and other purchased media.

I have an album of photos on my iPad that isn't among my iPhoto files on my laptop, but when I sync the two devices this album isn't copied onto my laptop. Is there something additional I need to do?
iPhoto won't see albums that you've created in the Photos app on your iPad, nor photos that were synced to the app from a computer - it will only see the photos/videos that are in the Camera Roll album and, if you've used the camera connection kit, photos/video in the Imported Photos & Videos album.
If you want to copy photos from a particular album on your iPad then there are iPad apps such as Simple Transfer that let you select the photos in an album and copy them to your computer via your wifi-network. -

Only iTunes purchases may copy over via File > Transfer Purchases - otherwise syncing is one way, from the computer to the device. To get the rest of your music/films etc onto the new computer you can copy the backup from your old computer onto the new one and then load them into iTunes

We've had our MBP for a year, set up with my Apple ID. Got an iPad recently and set up with husband's Apple ID. Would now like to sync the two and set up iCloud/PhotoStream between the two. How to do since have two different Apple IDs? Thanks!
Just out of curiosity, why did you elect to use a different id?. That seems to always make things difficult. If you have not had the pad for long, or have not bought a lot of stuff Nader the new id, you might want to think about erasing all content, turn off find my phone, wiping the pad and starting over.
You can sync 2 different ids ( at least move pictures, books and music back and forth) if you are syncing through I tunes on your computer, but I don't think you can cross feed I cloud streams. -
ive just got an iphone and new sim, im keeping my old number, ive registered my iphone on my p.c but my old phone and number is still active, whilst my iphone keeps displaying a "no service" where the signal bars should be. I think there is a problem with the sim - does anyone know for sure??
Sounds like your new sim is not activated. Call your carrier, they will need the sim number on your new sim. It's a 20 digit number on the back of the sim.
