I have an app that doesn't have a full screen option. In windowed mode, is there a way I can block out my desktop and the other apps when using it? I only want to see the app and want everything else to be black. Aspect ratio = perfect square.

With the iPod connected to the computer go to the Music pane for the iPod in iTunes and check the box that says sync only checked songs. The check the songs you want synced and click on Sync. For more info see:

No, you can't update your 2G iPast past iOS 4.2.1. The graphics hardware on the 2G does not support the latest Open GLS.
Yes, there are not that many apps that still works with a 2G with 4.2.1. -

Those playlists are "Smart playlists".
I don't think that you can create them from the phone itself. I've only ever been able to create a smart playlist within iTunes and then syncing the phone. -

Somewhere away back when I heard that by knowing the serial number the details of the service record on the given mac could be found. However in those days I only bought new. These days with mac's inability to run applications that require the for real OS 9 ( not classic ) I have to scour the used market. I have both an Ipad and Iphone ( not so unique) But I ran in to a question. Is there a way I can send messaged to my Ipad from my Iphone? Is so Please realize that is is new to me and step by step is the only way I am going to figure it out. My iPhone is a 5s running 8.12 and Ipad 4 but not the latest version. Any thoughts?

How can I delete an app that doesn't appear on my screen?
My tapped out app doesn't appear on my home screen and I can't find how to delete it. The app will not work. Every time I try to access it I get the message that it 'cannot connect to server'.
Your iPod is connected to the internet, and have you tried closing the game via the taskbar and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Tapped Out app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Tapped Out app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't fix it then try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.
If you can't find it on any of your iPod's homescreens then can you connect the iPod to your computer's iTunes ? If you can then do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to make sure that all apps (and other downloads) are on your computer, and then on the iPod's Apps tab on your computer's iTunes you should be able to use the listbox of apps to find where a downloaded app is on your iPod (double-click an app in the listbox and it should show on the screen mock-ups where it is), and use the 'remove' button next to an app to delete it (which will also remove its content and settings) and click 'Apply' at the bottom right of the screen - the 'remove' button will then change to 'install' so that you can re-install it (and again click 'Apply') :

So someone has stollen my iPhone and I've been told that if I contact Apple and I give them some details about my iPhone that are within the box when I bought they should be able to block the whole phone so it's completely unfunctional ever again. It has been missing for two months, they switched it off because I cannot find it on "Find my iPhone" app, so if I can block it I would happily do so because I bought it free (no contract) and it cost me a lot of money.
The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone. -

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.
