I have an app that's in the App Store app that I have never owned. How can I get it to go away? when i click on it it tells me that I never owned it and that I can't download it. I just want it to go away. It's also on my IPad

I would start with iTunes customer support. If it is on both devices, doesn't sound like a device issue...

OMG at home I did the whole restore process no less than 20 times while optimizing and accounting for different variables each time (restoring on a new system with a fresh OS, trying to restore and a mac, restoring then restarting empty cache, restart unistall itunes then restore restart restore, installing an older version of Itunes and restoring. going back to Vista and restoring), and every single time it would complete the check, the update/check, the ios reinstall, and then whatever else and say "complete"... and then no icon menu would appear for the device in itunes so unplug the phone and replug and get the whole "Itunes must render restore aid" message. SO I went to the genuis bar at my local iBoutique thrice - each time the bewildered but very courteous and knowledgable genuis wanted to keep trying ... since I had been on this treadmill for about two weeks I decided each time to respect my fellow appletonians and not suck up genius time... but I really want my old 3gs back... why - I like that it amazes the youth who occaisonal are puzzled by seeing something apple that they don't recognize and in wonder and amazement at its age they learn that even though its no longer invited to iOS family gatherings that it still can call home and ask why Apple waited so long when it was a kid to give it copy-paste ability like all the other kids, then ask for money for the shrink bill.. ... . . ..Soooooooo.... You obviously need to restore the device
It seems that you have tried several options to restore it. What I would do is leave it plugged it and hold down the Home button AND the Power button together till you see the white apple appears. Then let go of the Power button but continue to hold the home button. You should get the message in iTunes again saying that the iPhone needs to be restored. Hit OK then RESTORE.

This problem started immediately after I upgraded to Firefox 9.0.1
If I open my inbox in my New Yahoo Mail, then open an email with attachments and then open the attachments to "view as a slide show"....I can't close the slide show and return to the email by clicking on the "return to Yahoo" button. If you click on it, it returns to the first pic shown, and if you click on it again, the pics disappear and a gray haze appears over most of the screen but none of the features under the gray screen work. I have found that if I hit the back page and then forward page buttons, I can get back to my inbox eventually, but this is a terrible "pain in the ass"!Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

When I try to make a purchase at the App Store or iBook store or at iTunes an error message tells me my account is not valid for the UK store. I've no idea how I got connected there and I'd like help getting back to Canada where I live. Any suggestions?

My FF stalled so I closed the window. When I click on the ff icon, the page comes up but the page is blank and when I right click the f icon it says the application is not responding
From your question I am going to assume that this is the first time that you've encountered this issue. Applications, like Firefox, can become responsive for various reasons. I would suggest killing the Firefox process. If you're not familiar with the steps to do so you can simply reboot your system.

the laptop has windows 7, firefox version I have is 3.6.17.

You should be able to update the primary email address on your account either via the Store> View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes (there should be an Edit button to the right of your account id on your account's details page), or via http://appleid.apple.com - you might then need to log out of the account on each comuter/device and log back in with the new version to 'refresh' the account on them

How do I get my slider to move when I click the groove
TheI have created a simple Adobe Flash movie which is to act as a slider control. The code that I have written is shown below. I am able to grab the slider and move it to any position on the groove but I wish to also be able to click anywhere on the groove so that the slider will jump and lock to that position.
I have created a function:

the problem is that the this._X coordinate returns the left-hand edge of groove_1 and not be positioned that was clicked on this control.
Can someone tell me how to get this information out of the mouse down event?

I use the object variable this instead of groove_1 as I am calling it from the function:

I also add the groove_1 left hand offset (groove_1._x;)

Does this happen with all sites or just on a particular one? It might just that the website is in a "bad neighborhood" so to speak. Do you have the [[Pop-up blocker]] enabled in Firefox? That article will show you how to turn on the pop-up blocker and how to manage it as well. You might also want to take a look at [[Is my Firefox problem a result of malware]] although it sounds like you've got that pretty well covered. -
When I compose an email I click the +sign and my contacts do not come up. I had Yahoo help me fix it yesterday and today the contacts aren't there again. I can do it in IE but not in Firefox. What is with Firefox that it goes away.

Perhaps it is a flaw in my software, but when I seek to take a picture of the screen, I access Grab through the untilities folder. Instead of giving me options, the Grab logo simply goes onto my dock and rests there. Clicking on it produces nothing. Very frustrating.
There is an alternative with key short cuts for screen shots:

I have an Iphone 4S that i installed the face button app. After trying to use it, my phone locked and I cannot get it to work anymore. does anyone knows how to reset this phone and get it working again?
A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.

Macbook pro will not boot. I get the gray screen, an apple icon and spinning wheel. I tried to start in safe mode, but get this same screen. The only thing different is that I added the zedge update app to do a sync for adding ringtones to my apple cell phone. How can I get a good boot. I am fairly new to apple computer.
Reset PRAM: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4405 and then try a normal boot.
Run the Startup Manager to select Startup disk: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1310
If those did not work your disk may be sick or dying. The top priority at this point is to make a backup copy of your data.
Check the health of the disk. Boot in Recovery Mode (Boot, Command-R). Run Disk Utility. Click on the upper left disk icon. Does the S.M.A.R.T. status say “Verified”? If not the disk/SSD is unhealthy and needs to be replaced. Even if it does not show “Verified” you can still attempt a backup.
Click on the icon indented below, usually called “Macintosh HD” and Verify Disk. If it finishes with a green “OK” message then all is well with the disk. If it shows errors in red then you have found a problem to address once the system is backed up. Do not attempt software repairs until you have secured the data.
If the disk will not show up at all in Disk Utility as your ran the tests above then it may be dead or it may have a bad internal SATA cable. A trip to an Apple store for confirmation would be in order.
If you have an external disk drive you can use as a backup drive then do so. If not Google “Hitachi USB 3.0 external hard drive 1TB” to purchase one or go to a brick-and-mortar store (including an Apple store) to pickup one. Any 1 TB external drive will do.
Assuming it is still breathing you can try to recover the data without booting from the sick disk.
Reformat the external disk. (This will erase all data on the external disk.)
Boot in Recovery Mode. Start Disk Utility. Plug in the new disk. Select it’s disk Icon (the second one down, left justified). Select the Partition tab.
Partition Layout > Single Partition
Name: Emergency Recovery 1 (or whatever name you wish to use)
Format: Mac OS Extended (journaled)
Options… > GUID Partition Table > OK
Apply
Select the Restore tab.
Drag the old system volume (Macintosh HD) to Source.
Drag the new disk volume (Emergency Recovery 1) to Destination.
Click on Restore.
It may take a long time for the backup.
If that will not complete post back for other emergency data recovery methods, including those from a brody.
If the backup succeeds, use the First Aid tab in Disk Utility to select the old volume (Macintosh HD) and Repair Disk. If it does not finish with a green OK message try to repair it once or twice more. If it repairs with a green OK message, will it boot normally? If not, boot from the Recovery Partition and reinstall OS X.
If it is still not healthy, post back for further instructions. -
Moving tabs from one window to another makes the new window vanish. I have hot corners enabled so when I move up to the right corner of my display I can see all my open windows but when I click on the tab that I moved to make it its own window it vanishes
I came up with an alternative solution.
Instead of actually trying to move the JInternalFrame from one JDesktopPane to another, I added a single, maximized JInternalFrame to the left side. When one of the right side frames is to be docked, I merely copy its ContentPane to the single JInternalFrame on the left, set the original to be non-visible, and adjust the properties of the JSplitPane to make the "docked" frame appear.
When the "close" button on the docked frame is pressed, I simply undo this procedure to "undock" the frame and redisplay it on the right-hand side (with its content intact from the docked frame, but in its original position).
