    Very few authentic dll files reside in that folder. It sounds as though you’ve had a recent infection and one of your ‘anti’ programs has removed the malware files, or some of them, but missed the entry in the registry, possibly due to an out-dated definitions
    database.
    Try one of these, but it is prudent to create a system restore point before you change the registry in (1) below by going to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > System > System Protection (in the left pane) > System Protection Tab >
    Create and make sure you give it a meaningful name.
    1. The entry is probably in one of the \Run keys, but as the rascal could be hiding in a number of other keys, it’s quicker to search the whole registry. Open a Run window (Windows Logo key+R), type regedit and press Enter. Click Edit > Find and type the
    rogue’s name, put ticks in Keys, Values and Data, then click Find Next. When it’s found in the right pane, right-click it and delete it. There should be only one entry but press F3 to continue searching, just to confirm there are no more.
    2. If you’re concerned about making registry changes disable the entry using the system configuration utility, but bear in mind that you’re disabling the entry not deleting it as you would in (1) above. Open a Run window (Windows Logo key+R), type msconfig
    and press Enter. Go to the Startup Tab and remove the tick alongside the rogue’s name. Click Apply, OK, etc. and restart the computer. When it restarts, put a tick in ‘Don‘t show this again‘ as you‘re effectively doing a selective start up.

    run the free Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/free/ to ensure that you are completely clean. If you then restart the computer and the message is still appearing try one of these, but it is prudent to create a system restore point before you change the registry in (1) below

  • Users\tc\AppData\Roaming\sp.DLL, module could not be found

    can anyone really give me some good advise on how to fix this error?
    I greatly appreciate it...

    What I would do if I encountered that situation:
    check the computer for malware;
    use a program like CCleaner (Tools | Startup) to see what could possibly try to invoke that non-existant dll file.

  • Getting DDRAW.dll error on startup

    I've recently installed Java 1.4.2_07 and since have noticed that whenever I start my application (or any web pages that use Java) I get the following error dialog from java.exe:
    The procedure entry point CompleteCreateSysmemSurface could not be located in the dynamic link library DDRAW.dll
    Any idea what's causing this or how I can get it to go away?

    This Google search gor some hits on the error:

  • Run DLL error - Playtopus Updater.dll

    I have a G780 laptop and since a few days ago have had a RUN.DLL pop up box advising that an Updater.dll file cannot be found.
    The box mention PLAYTO 1 which, I have read from other posts is a known problem involving the Playtopus program, which I had downloaded and uninstalled. Following this, the problem has started.
    I have tried running the scan that replaces corrupted files, but this has had no effect.
    I have read the post "Run.dll error", updated 16 July by solid cruver, and my problem is identical, although as I said, I could not resolve it as the Playtopus program has already been removed.
    Any help appreciated

    Resolved by removing playtopus in Task Scheduler.

  • Error loading C;\users\Toshiba\appData\Local\SMBDP.dll

    Can anyone help me?
    After i start up i keep getting a message that says error loading C;\users\Toshiba\appData\Local\SMBDP.dll and then the module could not be found.
    I have tried everything but cannot get rid of it,
    i have asked for help online but it tells me to purchase a Tune-up utilities, but i already have Tune-up untilities and have run it through completely but it still does'nt work,
    please help.

    I don't believe this error message has anything to do with Toshiba applications you got preinstalled with your laptop so it is not easy to identify which application want to have access to this data.
    Is anything else written in this error message?

  • I can't reinstall firefox, I get the "profile cannot be loaded" error and no solution I've found works. The /appdata/roaming/mozilla folder is inaccessible.

    I'm on Win7, 64 bit. I originally uninstalled because a program changed my new tab page to something unwanted and I had literally no way of changing it back. Now every time I reinstall it I get the "profile cannot be loaded, it may be missing or inaccesible" error, and I cannot create a new profile. Every time I try any method of opening the profile editor, I get the "profile cannot be loaded" error then too. I can't access the folder under /appdata/roaming/mozilla at all. It says it is inaccesible and access is denied, and trying to delete it tells me that I don't have permission (even though I'm the admin). No other fix I have seen has worked. Can anyone help, please?

    I ran a virus scan, cleaned up a single piece of adware, restarted, and it suddenly worked. I'm not sure what exactly caused it to begin working but it did so I consider this matter closed.

    Hello< I have windows 7, I tried to install the new itunes version, last night 1/30/14, Im getting msvcr80.dll error 7 (windows error  126). Does anyone have a remedy for this? When I try to uninstall the ituned program it says it can't be found and to make sure I have permission to uninstall.

    Same problem today. Took five times to reinstall without any error messages. I did the following:
    1) Went to the C:\program files (x86)\iTunes and C:\program files\iTunes folders and moved every file ending in .dll to the desktop (even if two files in same location had the same name, just replaced)
    2) Restarted computer and still got error message
    3) Uninstalled all apple programs possible in the following order......itunes, apples software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour, and apple application support.....all performed using the microsoft control panel
    4) put all the .dll files on the desktop in the trash and emptied (this is a step apple support did not recomment in their posted solutions but for a final try I wanted to delete everything apple).
    5) Restarted computer.
    6) Re-installed itunes from apple website
    No error messages during re-install and was able to open shortcut in one try.

    Does anyone have a cure for the following error running on Windows, "The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be found located in the dynamic link library SQLite.dll.

    I have searched my computer for that file SQlite3.dll and also file QTCF.dll and I cannot find either one when I search my whole computer for it.  I cannot fix this!  I deleted Itunes and every time I try to download it, it goes through all this download till the end when it says that iTunes.exe-entry point now found and that Procedure entry point message comes up.  HELP!  This is driving me crazy.  How can I get itunes to work again when I can't find the danged .dll file to remove, move or rename!?!?!??

  • My security software says that I have a virus Trojan.Script.483139. It is located in the AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles folder. Is this from you?

    The directly path is Users\Chris\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\sqmsakij.default\ImapMail\imap.googlemail.com\...changelog.htm

    I can't find a changelog.htm in my folders.
    Maybe that's an attachment to a message you got? I think it's dangerous to have security software try to rip out an attachment -- who knows what that might do to your mailbox. But if you see an attachment with that name, ''don't open it''. (Unless you are software developer, you probably weren't going to be tempted by a change log anyway.)
    If you can figure out the full path (the missing ... part might be helpful), maybe it will show which folder this message is in. Could be in Junk.

  • Have an I tunes start up error. Missing File MSVCR80.dll

    I tunes wont start.
    I have removed and reinstalled software.
    Error code is MSVCR80.dll is missing.
    any ideas

    Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

    Have been using every version of PS thru CS6, now with CC. When right clicking a photo to open, I get ui.dll error saying to fix re-install. Checking ui.dll in LR 5.6 it says it is 3.53 MB. HOW do I get it to work as it did in ALL versions before?

    Mailny when publishing to my site.I notice the RAM usage is upto about 2.5 Gb (have 12gb on board)

  • In Windows 8.1, why does Thunderbird have profiles in username\appdata\local and in username\appdata\roaming?

    I searched online to find out how to find my address book and found an article that said to look in Users\username\appdata\local\thunderbird. I did not find it there, so I did more searching and found it in Users\username\appdata\roaming\thunderbird. Do I need the Users\username\appdata\local\thunderbird directory, or is It a leftover from a previous version of Thunderbird? I would like to delete it if I don't need it.

    Background info:
    When Thunderbird program is installed it puts it here:
    * C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\
    or if using windows 64bit, it will be here:
    * C:\Program Files(x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\
    when you run Thunderbird, it will create a default profile and this is where all your mail accounts, address books, filters, passwords etc are stored. Use for backup purposes.
    * C:\Users\Windows user name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\Profile name\
    Windows also creates some cache folders and files, which is stored here:
    * C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Thunderbird
    These files and folders do not contain any emails etc and are not required for backup purposes.
    You can clear the cache from Thunderbird.
    Tools > clear Recent history.
    Windows uses the AppData\Local.
