I have an e-mail showing up that is stating "not downloaded from server". I cant delete it. Using ipad 1, with ms outlook

Try deleting it from the mail server. If you can't delete it on the actual mail server (ie: from gmail, outlook, etc), that's more than an iPad problem. If you're really having issues, and you removed it on the actual server (but it's still on the iPad), remove the mail account (Settings>General>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Select the Account>Delete Account) and then re-add the account. If you can configure it with IMAP that would be preferred.

Was this book downloaded using iBooks, or from another application? If it was from iBooks you will need to install that application to delete it.

Email not downloading from server - mail activity says there is
Hi all - I have an email account with mail on the server, which i can see on by logging in through a web interface.
However, retrieving new mail yields no messages, and a mysterious progress bar in the Mail activity window that says it's downloading "280 of 280 messages" which looks like this:

It comes up and then goes away within a second or to, but now messages come through.
Any ideas?

I went into System preferences - network - advanced then clicked on the DNS tab where i saw 2 window (DNA and SEARCH DOMAINS). If i try to past the smpt in there (in the form smtpout.xxxxxxx.net) it simply pastes this: .eceee.e
If I try the same thing into the other window (SEARCH DOMAINS) it pastes just fine.

When I control-click and select "get account info" the panel that appears shows all 308 messages as being on my server, but they say SENDER UNKNOWN and NO SUBJECT.

Mail - "message not downloaded from server"
I know that the message was download from the server because it was todays mail from this first thing morning. This happens once or twice a week, I will go to view a message from a couple of hours ago and i will get this meesage.
Anyone have any Ideas??
ThanksThank you for your help, that did the trick. My mail box was too large, once I emptied my trash the problem has not repeated itself. I thought I had my trash set to empty upon quiting. My Mail box was 1.6 gigs and I was trying to keep it clean by throwing old mail and junk mail away, but it built up and I did not realize it.

I've never had any problem reading my mail but am now getting the following message: Message has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it. As far as I can see, the account is online. If I restart the computer, this sometimes fixes the problem temporarily. Please help.

If you are running 10.3.9, as the info below your post reports, then you likely have an Overstuffed Mailbox. The message you are getting is the result of errors in the index for the mailbox.
First, confirm your version of OSX, and if 10.3.9, then read:

I have an i-mac and using Yosemite. (1) spam e-mails keep returning after being deleted.
(2) my canon P-208 document scanner will not perform. Canon does not have a compatible driver on their site.
How can I resolve these issues?The scanner works fine with mountain lion but when downloaded yosemite it opens but will not continue to perform -- cuts out. yosemite is 10.10. believe the scanner is 10.7.

I have one song listed but when I go to download it from the cloud it shows 480 songs and never downloads it. This is music that I own so I don't understand why this isn't working right. Can anyone help?
Delete the current copy of the song from iTunes and then download again (free) from your purchased history.
If the problem persists contact iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history.

You need to export a self-contained video from FCP 6. Import the self-contain video into Compressor 4.

My visual voice mail is not working..i have done all the steps that I have seen on here to do. When I call the voice mail it says that there is not a box set up and I need to contact my system administrator.
I have had voice mail set up on my phone for 10 years. When I did the last iOS update before 7 I guess it wiped out my voice mail. Can I not set it up myself? I haven't changed my message in years.

I have been told my macbook does not have enough gb for Lion. and that i can not keep my mobile me mail without lion. so does this mean I have to drop mobile me and get another email address?
You probably know that mobilme goes away in June this year. There are two ways to access your mail account on iCloud, either through Lion or via the web. I'm trying to sync a 4s so that it can be activated w ATT...my computer says that I need to have 11.1 or higher in order to do that but when I download from the itunes site nothing happens and I still can't sync phone...what am I doing wrong?

There is an app that I did not download in my update section. I read reviews and it seems to be spy ware. How do I get it from not showing up on my app updates? I do not want to download or update it, obviously.
If the app is G-Toolkit and you have a Gmail app on your iPhone, delete the Gmail app. Apparently the G-Tool kit is tied to a Gmail app. From searching the web my impression is that G-Toolkit is not spyware and is from a legitimate company that produces app for several platforms.
