I have an early 2011 macbook air 13..just installed windows 7 64 bit and my trackpad does not works and also my backlit keyboard does not function.tried almost everything. No help

I am using Macbook air 13". i have installed windows 7 professional on it. I downloaded windows support drivers using bootcamp. Even after installation of drivers my trackpad does not works. Tap & swipe features does not work.i am using a wireless mouse. Also there is no light in my keyboard anymore.
I did try all possible help i could found on internet. But no go.

Hi Thank you, the apple mobile service links did not work, i had tried them all. however that same link with the previous versions worked. I had to download the one below and I can at least use itunes.

Do Not post stuff about how Airplay doesnt work, because i dont have Apple TV and dont need to hear about it.

If you have an external drive equal to or larger than your internal HD, clone your internal to it with either Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper. Test the clone to make sure it's bootable. Then upgrade either one. Try it out first.

To check your model go to About This Mac (by clicking on the Apple icon, top left) and then select more info. If you wish to use mirroring you will need one from 2011 or later running OSX 10.8 or later. The alternative would be to use 3rd party software like Airparrot.

Mac OS X 10.6.8 is the last Mac OS X version that supports PowerPC applications, so if you upgrade to OS X Mavericks, you will lose the ability to use PowerPC applications.
I recommend you to look for upgrades to those apps, but if you cannot or any of your apps are not available for Intel-based Macs, a different option you have is to create a second partition and install OS X Mavericks there, so you can still use your old apps by starting up into Snow Leopard. My newly macbook air can't install windows 7 via boot camp even I have formatted the SSD in the window installer

I have insert the windows 7 disc as the instruction. Every things go fine at the starting, until the part that need to select the harddisk partition to install the windows.Even I have formatted the harddisk in the window installer, I can't continue my installation. Will it be the problem that the macbook air is using the SDD?

I'm having the same problem. Yes, I followed the instructions completely all the way through clicking Format under advanced options for the BOOTCAMP partition. It appears to format it correctly, but when I click Next, I get the message "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition."
I read in the forums that I should unplug the USB drive. I tried that and instead, get the following message:
"Windows is unable to install to the selected location. Error: 0x80300001"
I have a new Retina display running Mountain LIon and the latest of everything. I tried installing both Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 ISO and Windows 7 Pro SP1 ISO, both downloaded from Microsoft. I am booting from a 32GB USB3 drive. I used Boot Camp Assistant for everything.
I removed my old Windows XP VM from Parallels, wiping everything. The only other thing I can think of is that my MacOS is connected to Time Machine, but MacOS is not running while Windows is trying to install itself.

Macbook Air 13" 2015 - Install Windows 7 64bit

I understand Apple does not supply Bootcamp drivers for Windows 7 64bit to work with MacBook Air 2015 model.
Has anybody tried to install it anyway either using the Boot Camp drivers for Windows 8.1 or any other method.
Our company uses a Windows 7 Enterprise image and isn't ready for Windows 8.1.
We have been buying MacBook Air 13" as main notebook and configuring it without a Mac OS X partition. ie boots straight into Windows 7
Without Windows 7 support the business won't buy any more MacBook Air.
Want to know if possible otherwise have to go back to HP/Dell which I am sure staff won't apprieciate.

I probably should have been more clear. We don't have a Macbook Air 13" 2015 we have been using previous year models as they are supported directly with Apple's Boot Camp drivers.
Trying to find anyone who has got the current Macbook Air 13" 2015 to boot straight to Windows 7 and if they any driver issues.

I have an Early 2011 Macbook Pro 13"

Bought from Comet in the UK at the time the late 2011 were released, was reduced to £850 so thought I had got a bargain.
From day one I had been surprised at how many spinning balls and hangs I got.
Tonight it just froze, tried turning it off and on again and all I get is a flashing folder icon with a question mark in it.
A quick google search seems to indicate that this is due to the internal SATA cable failing - I can boot the Mac (I am posting this just now from it) if I take out the internal HDD, put it in an enclosure and boot it connected via USB, if anything the whole thing is more responsive.
I am expecting a call from apple support tomorrow but I have to say I an very disappointed that something like this would happen to such an expensive computer less than a year old
