I have an HP Photosmart printer which takes a full minute to print a 4x6 picture. Is ths normal?

This PC World review says 1.5 pages per minute for colour photo, which I imagine refers to A4, so 4 minutes for a 6x4 does not sound right. It won't be a Photoshop thing though. More print driver and OS.

Why does Synchronizing Drafts take 5 full minutes?

And does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this? We are using Contribute CS4 now after several years of using Contribute 4. We have IIS 4 running on a server with Windows Server 2003. All users (publishers) connect via FTP with a Contribute Connection Key and when they initially connect with the Key,Synchronizing Drafts takes 5 full minutes, and subsequent connections without the Key Synchronizing Drafts can take 2-3 minutes, and every time they users make any changes, they get an hour glass icon for a good minute or so.

Looks like you never got an answer. I have a several similar postings that you may want to consider. I have 'ghost' sites, I think ActiveX is causing problems and I suspect Design Notes is highly suspcious. Even Dreamweaver is very slow. At least is shows a message indicating why it's slow. And, to top it off, I noticed that CPS now has 4 log files, and CPS randomly writes entries to them. Last time I looked, there were only two log files. Maybe, between the two of us, we can solve this issue. Best of luck. Let me know what you think.

Unable to print borderless 4x6 photos with the Photosmart 7510 printer.

I am unable to print borderless 4x6 photos with the Photosmart 7510 printer. There are no option listed for any size borderless printing when i choose the paper size and paper type. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I found it. Once you hit print, click on the options link. It opens a separate window. In that window there are two links, one says color management and the other says printer properties, click printer properties. That opens a new window, in that window click the advanced button. That opens a new window titled HP 7510 Advanced options, under the printer feature section near the bottom you will see "Borderless Printing". Left click on that and to the right a drop down menu opens, select borderless, hit ok. After you do this, it will print borderless however you will still NOT see that option when you print, like you used to with the older HP printers. I couldn't find it in the help section, I just stumbled upon it, very frustrating! It will print borderless.

No, I accidently erased my pic's and my Music from my iPhone 5 when I hooked it up to my New iMac Air when I sync it. I thought when you sync it saves all your Data from my iPhone,,,,Wrong! It did the opposite, and saved what was on my iMac Air to my iPhone, which was Nothing, since it was Brand new. It won't delete the pic's from my iPad. Lucky for me, I downloaded them all back to my iPhone from iCloud.

I have an HP PHOTOSMART 7520 e-ALL-IN-ONE SERIES printer purchased approx. 5 months ago.

Where can I get instructions as to how to use my printer for photos. There is a small tray and I have inserted the oorrect paper. I attempted to print a photo on a letter size sheet - and I indicated the size - it came out only as half a photo. So I tried to print it using the small sheets and it printed it small but on one of my regular letter size sheets. And the colour is coming out orange . . . HELP . . . I need instructions. Thank you!

Windows 7 64 bit machine with printer installed locally takes 2-3 minutes for printing most of the time and fails to print some time.

Our customer have 3-4 windows machines in local area network (No Domain Login) with different OS versions and platform architecture (32 / 64 bit)
I have no idea about the configuration of machine to which printer is hooked up but it is running Windows for sure.
This machine is accessible from any other machine in LAN. They have another machine running Windows 7 64 bit OS on which they have installed the printer connected to earlier machine using local printer driver installation
with local TCP/IP port being selected during installation. Installation goes well, printer gets installed successfully and shows ready state. but when we try to print anything on it takes 2-3 minutes to complete print job. They have tried
this on printers with couple of different model and make but the result is same delayed printing. They have also tried to install different printer drivers like HP printer model specific driver and HP universal driver too , but the result is
the same in all cases. earlier when they were using 32 bit XP machine with printer installed same way that they installed now for win 7 64 , there was no issue seen with regards delayed printing. is this a issue with windows 7 64
bit printing system ? or it has to do something with mixed and matched (32/64 bit )printer drivers running on different machines on LAN ?
I will try to get more information with regards to the machine to which printer is connected.In the mean please revert back to me if any one had face similar issue and able to resolve it successfully.

Have you tried ping ip address of printer? and check if there exists any data lost in network connection. If your network connection is crowded, it can cause delay for printer.
Also, please attempt to disable all security software temporarily, such as antivirus, firewalls,etc and
clear all printer cache.
Locate to task manager, check the state of spoolsv.exe, including cpu and memory. If it has high cpu or memory usage, it may be caused by malware. Thus, you'd better to make a full scan with the latest anti-virus.

Photosmart c4780 is only printing half way when I print on 4x6 photo paper.

I've having problems on my HP Photosmart C4780. When I load a 4x6 inch photo paper it pulls the paper in, starts printing, pushed the paper out, but has only printed half of my photo.
It looks as if it starts printing before it reaches the paper becasue the back has ink lines on it and when comparing it with what prints, to what should print, the photo looks like it starts printing at the middle and is right up against the leading edge of the photo paper.
There are no error messages at all.
I'm using windows 7
the printer is connected via wireless
I have no other problems printing 81/2X11 or from any programs.
Any help would be great.

I don't know what you mean by "I have to snapshot it first". Can you explain what you mean? If you're making a screenshot and printing from your photo application, you're going about things in a very odd way. You should be using the Share - Print icon from whatever app (Safari?) your bank statement is in.

I have an hp photosmart 7520? Do I have to pay efax to fax documents? Can I use my landline?

How do I go about receiving the 20 faxes a month? I went to efax.com and always asks for credit card infromation. Not too happy about getting this HP 7520 when I have to pay for fax!

The implementation of efax on the 6520 is actually very easy to use, and just as secure as the other method. For sending highly secure documents like certain medical documents, efax may not be accepted, but for almost any user it is more than secure enough.
All sending with he 6520 is done through the website at efax.com, or through email, the same way it would work with ap aid efax account. The only difference is you have a limitation of the 20 pages in and out each month.
As far as having a non local number you will not be charged anything as it is all sent via efax servers, however if someone is sending you a fax and your number is long distance for them, they may incur long distance fees.

Have recently purchased photosmart 7520 printer

Generaly the printer works fine but are having problems printing photographs on correct photo paperas the prints come out wet and do not dry and andmake a mess.
can you advise any reason for this.

Photosmart 7520 - How to view on screen the printer status report

How do I view on the monitor or printer screen the 'Total pages printed' figure, which otherwise I need to frequently print out via "Maintain your computer>Device reports>Print Status report"? I'm using HP Photosmart 7520e, wireless connected, Windows 7 Ult. Thanks.

Welcome back to the HP Support forums. I understand that you would like to learn how to view your page count without having to print a Printer Status Report.
The information can be viewed online using the printer's embedded web server (EWS). Please follow the steps below:
1)       Press the wireless icon on the front panel of the printer to find the printer's ip address.
2)      Type the ip address of the printer into the address bar of your browser, this will bring up the EWS. I recommend that you bookmark this web page for future use. Then please click on 'Tools' tab.
3)      Click on 'Reports' along the left hand side menu
4)      This will print up a usage screen with the total page count shown across the top
Hope this helps you save on ink and paper.

Why is my macbook so slow? its 5 years old and it takes a full minute to open and close simple windows

my macbook is only 5 years old. i do a lot of stuff on it but it should be able to handle it. it takes forever to do any task usually and the fan is constantly going like crazy. is this just a case of 'you need to upgrade your laptop'?

Anything I try to do on my iMac is suddenly slow and I typically get the pinwheel or it takes a few minutes for the app to start. This includes just typing into an email or pages doc etc.

I was using WildBlue Satellite service for my internet connection. I recently changed to a Broadband connection. Since the change my computer is slow. I click on the mail application icon (or any other icon) and then wait and wait for it to open. It used to be instantanious. While I am editing in Pages or Numbers I will type almost an entire sentence before the characters actually appear on the screen. This happens when I am typing an email as well. I often get the pinwheel and cannot do anything until the system catches up with me. It doesn't make sense that the broadband connection has anything to do with this. My internet upload and download speeds are great. It is mostly the internal apps that do not require an internet connection. Any ideas?

I've got activity monitor open and nothing is popping out at me. But I will check it the next time I get the pinwheel.
No software was installed - either related to the new broadband connection or otherwise. I checked for updates to the OS (nothing).
I tried turning Airport off and at first it seemed better and I also did not have the ethernet connected. I also did an SMS reset? No change.
Good suggestions though.
Oh, I am running Parallels6. I've shut windows down, performed a clean disk and system clean with Trend Micro.

It takes a full minute and a half for the Mac App Store Application to load on my iMac. How can I fix this. No other applications launch so slowly.

Whenever I click on the Mac App Store icon in my dock, I get the spinning wheel for a minute and a half. It then loads. While in the App Store application, it takes a minute and a half to switch from "featured" to "top charts" for example. Nothing else on my 24" iMac takes that long to load. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Drag the App Store app from the Applications folder to the Trash. Drag the App Store icon off the Dock. It should go "poof"..
Download and install the v10.6.7 combo update.

That should re install the Mac App Store for you. It's ok to do this even if you are already running v10.6.7
If the combo did not re install the MAS for you use Pacifist to extract the MAS from the v 10.6.7 .dmg folder.

Just installed FF 4 in Win 7. Why does it take a full minute to open?

This was also true for FF 3.17. Some times it doesn't open at all, and I have to open the Task Manager and stop the FF process to get it to open.

It sounds to me like the installation didn't perform correctly.
What I suggest you do is to go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall it, but don't checkmark the option to remove your bookmarks, customizations etc.
Before you do that though, go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0] and download a fresh installation file.
After you uninstall the existing installation, reboot.
It's also wise to disable your AV before installing again. If you've got AVG, this is particularly difficult because it doesn't have an Exit option. Instead, you have to open MSCONFIG and remove the checkmark from '''AVG Watchdog '''which disables everything. Any changes to MSCONFIG requires a reboot I regret to say.
