Sorry, but that is correct. You need Snow Leopard to sync your phone and the latest version of iTunes and you old G5 cannot run that.

You can transfer iTunes content and photos from one computer only. When transferring iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first with a warning message provided beforehand indicating this will occur. -

I encountered the same error "…can't be verified…" error on my 2010 MBP too. Tried six times and finally I could get it installed. Here's what I did:
Went to "Users & Groups" in System Preferences, checked that the Apple ID specified for the current user is the same Apple ID I used in the download purchase of ML from the App Store.
Rebooted in Safe Mode.
Went to Disk Utility -> Repair Disk Permissions
Downloaded ML at midnight (and the download was significantly faster!)
Rebooted in Normal Mode.
Ran the ML Installer. -

Are you planning to keep your computer running all the time? I would recommend to look at your e-mail provider to see whether you can set an automatic answer. E.g. Gmail has this built in. Go to the webmail of your provider.
btw. don't make people smarter than they are, 'I am on holiday and there's nobody home at my home address' might not have the effect you are looking for :)

How do I make a folder in my Iphone 5 for custom ringtones?
I have made it a m4r file that is less than 30 sec. Synced phone with the latest version of iTunes. They show up in itunes as custom ringtones but there is no folder on my iPhone 5. Thanks!!!ping209 wrote:

That's usually trouble with the Segoe UI fonts on your system. If you're running XP or Vista, Vortical's procedure in the following post usually fixes things:

Windows 7 is trickier. Have a read through the (rather long) topic that Vortical's post shows up in for descriptions of various possible Windows 7 issues that can cause this, and their treatments. -
I have an iMac G4 PowerPC with OS 10.5.? After deleting 17G of music files to make room on the 74G drive, The iPhoto and iWeb updates seemed to load okay, but the OS 10.5.8 update failed - message opened said the computer encountered an error and must shut down. Now I get the blue screen. Startup with 'V' pressed shows multiple lines saying: error-can't find IntelCPU Power Manager. What now?? I reset PRAM, I think.....?????
I am concerned that you might have applied a system updated intended for an Intel iMac, while you have a PPC (non-Intel) iMac. Your PPC OS should not be looking for an "IntelCPU Power Manager."
Have you tried booting from the 10.5 install DVD/CD and repairing the hard drive, plus repairing permissions?
If you done the repairs mentioned above, and your problem still persists, you can also try doing a safe boot. (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455 ) Then, if none of these things worked, if I were in your shoes (it's hard to diagnose these things without being there in person) I would first check that there is adequate disk space, then I would boot from the 10.5 DVD/CD install disk and reinstall the operating system. There is an option to do an archive and install preserving user files/settings, that would be the option you want, as it will save your files but install a new OS. Make sure you have a good backup of your files first. If you do not have one, use "target mode" to copy all your files before embarking on an new OS install. Assuming that you do succeed with this install, then use Software Update to get the right updates for your iMac. -

I have installed pse 9 however the organizer will not launch, getting error 1310.

What all Adobe applications are installed on your machine?
Try launching the Editor from its installation location:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 8.0\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
Does it launch fine from there?
If yes, then as a workaround, you can simply create a shortcut of this .exe on desktop by right click and choosing the option of Send To -> Desktop (create shortcut).
