I have an iMac running IOS 10.6.8 & my browser is Safari. I downloaded & installed Adobe Reader 11.0.09. I attempted to download a PDF document after the "successful" installation of Reader 11.0.09. Rather than the PDF document, I received a screen that stated "Before viewing PDF documents in this browser, you must launch Adobe Reader & accept End User License Agreement, then quit & relaunch the Browser." When I originally started the Adobe download the Terms and Conditions stated "By clicking the download, you agree blah, blah, etc." I can neither get to the End User Agreement nor open any PDF document. Hi all,
I have am having a similar problem since the last reader update. I have opened acrobat reader (outside of the browser) both through the dock, through the Go-->applications route and through launch pad. It opens fine each time. There is no request to agree to an end-user agreement and I can open local pdfs just fine. This is on mac/chrome.
For now, I have disabled the plugin but any suggestions are appreciated.

I have an iMac running OS X 10.8.3 and have connected an Epson Workforce 2540 printed that is allegedly Airprint enabled. I can connect and print with a USB cable but can't connect via Airprint. My colleague running 10.7 can. Is this a feature of 10.8? Any ideas for a fix?
iOS devices use AirPrint to connect to a supported printer. OS X will use Bonjour to locate and connect to the same printer.
With the Epson connected to your wireless router, when you open Print & Scan and click the plus button to add, does the Epson appear in a small box with a heading of Nearby Printers?
If not and a window appears showing Default, Fax, IP and Windows in the toolbar, do you see the Epson with the Default view selected? -

I need a portable external hard drive to back it up before updating the software to Yosemite but I can't find anything that doesn't require you to be running at least OX 10.6. You current OS, is so old, that they technology build into the new devices, is not something your OS understands. It didn't exist when your OS was created, and therefore you need to upgrade the OS to work with the newer technology of these devices.

hi alan i run a business on ebay selling photos and negs. i recently installed yosemite and it locked my entire library on iphoto. when i try to download the app to free it from ishop it tells me there is a fault with the app and my iphoto is frozen. i am basically out of work and finding it very hard to find someone who can help me unlock it.. look at the things being said about this yosemite locking this.....freezing that... be very careful if you need your business for your livelyhood. the actual performance is really good.....better display ...much faster and well presented but is it worth having parts of your compy put out of action i possibly think not. i am new to this community so hopefully someone reading this may be able to advise us both.....paul

Bought a new mac in November and it is refused to start up yesterday. Spoke with Apple and they said I should make sure I do regular back ups in case I l ose my hard drive?!?! I did a clean install of the Operating software but was advised to erase and install.

Cheers JYou could partition the drive, I read that Time Machine will work on if you HD partition.
BUT, it will do you no good if you HD fails.
Usually, if a HD fails it's the entire drive that is dead not just a partition.
So your time machine back would be on a dead disk, useless! -
I have three Imacs running Final Cut X but only able to update to 10.0.7 on one of them. Everytime I try to update it ask for my apple ID which I submit...then I get the same message to enter my Apple ID...Any suggestions?
Easiest thing to do is put the app on the non updated computers in the trash and then copy the new app on to a flash drive and copy into the app folders on the other two computters.

If your machine meets the specs, the latest is Yosemite; make sure you check all the requirements as your machine falls right at the back end of being supported - meaning that it will not run at its maximum speed due to an older processor. You'd also need an absolute minimum opf 4 GB RAM - 8 would be much better.

It turned out that WD is the big bad guy in this game.
According the data rescue company where I asked for an inspection, both of the drives had their reader head loose. And in the one, which was my already-in-use disk its even damaged the platters... xxxxx
So its time to pay bunch of money to recover, and take a walk to wd service to bang on the desk.
Also note - it may be somehow related to intellispeed technology - since macs not really friendly with wd-s built-in solutions.
On the other hand, with WD GP 1Tb there is no problems at all for ages.

Then I downloaded Facetime to make it work but when I click on the icon a message error pops up

I don't believe anything prevents you from upgrading to Lion or Mountain Lion. See:

You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
