I have an important pages document on my macbook but pages wont let me open it because it says its blank?

i was just working on it-and my hard drive was pretty much full so i was about to delete some files to make room so i can save the document-but before i could do that, pages decided to auto save it for me but there was no room to save it, so it said could not save: revert changes. so i clicked revert changes and it said unable to revert, document must close or something like that and it closed the document for me. but i opened it again as normal and it opened again as normal.
so then i took a lot of my files off my laptop to make room to save it, but when i tried to save it, the same thing happened, but this time when i tried to open it as normal, it said it cant be open because it is a blank file when it so clearly isnt? is there anyway i can restore this because i dont see why my macbook is doing this to the file when i made room for it to be saved, and even when there wasnt room-my macbook saved it anyway. no thats theres room it says its blank and cant open- when i right click on it and click show package contents, it comes up with 3 items: data folder which is blank, index.zip file which it wont let me open to unzip, and a metadata folder which is also empty. please help, thank you.

1 - the iPhoto application is an application and does not hole your photos - your photos are in the iPhoto library an dour normal daily backup will back them up so your photos are safe
2 - what exactly does the error message say? You probably need to reinstall the iPhoto application form the original source
3 - note that no version of iPhoto comes with any OS - iPhoto comes with all new Macs but not with any OS and most OS versions can run many different versions of iPhoto

2. What did you do - DV or HDV capture firewire? For DV AVI, what did you produce DV AVI type 1 or DV AVI type 2?
If HDV, what do you have MPEG2.mpg or something else, like MPEG2.m2t?
3. Please download and install the free codec utility named GSpot

I got rid of AMDS, ASU ,QuickTime and iTunes from control ones I also found folder in Vista with D:\Users\Rick\Music\iTunes\Previous iTunes Library and there is one dated 2009-03012.itl. I moved this file up one folder and delted existing iTunes Library.itl. iTune still failed to identify my iPhone. There are other files iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes Library Geniyes,itdn and iTunes Music Library,xml date dtd 06/18/2009 after upgrade except the latter which is date 06/23/2009. So something is not allowing me to pull or put everything back to when it worked.
YES this is my only iPhone and only PC I have access to with iTunes.

I agree with Coach TO, if I had bad drivers or Vista errors it would not have shown up only when I updated to latest Version of 8.2.023. My Phone was identified on a PC with iTunes at the local AT&T store. He suggested I get phone into Recovery made while connected to iTunes and that resolves the problem 9 out of 10 time. Weak spot was he tried to get phone into Recovery without iTunes connection and thought I may have iPhone problem, then changed his mind when it worked while connected. He also stated it could take an hour. I have not tried to put my iPhone in Recovery lately, I think I did a while back and it failed to go into Recovery as error "iPhone detected by, not identified..."Has anyone tried forcing phone into Recovery? I understand you may lose all that is on phone. If iTunes still fails to identify would we not be in worse shape even if iTunes holds a recent backup which it does not for many of us? Will Apple take back or exchange phone if yours is not identitifed, AT&T today told me I had to go to Apple Store for this or anything to happen.

Try the following to rule out a software problem:

I don't know where you updated this information, but if you didn't do it directly on the iPad, try updating the card on the iPad itself.
Settings>iTunes & App Store. Tap on your Apple ID. Tap on View Apple ID. Enter your password. Tap on Pyme t Information. In the next window, make sure that the new credit card in showing and that all associated information is correct, check the billing address, the security code and the expiration date. Save any changes that you make.
Then try to make another purchase.

Settings>iCloud>Storage and Backup>Manage Storage. Select the phone that doesn't say "this phone" then scroll down and choose Delete Backup

You can likely download the last compatible version by:

You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

That is Pages for iPad v2.0, which Pages '09 v4.3 can't read.
You need to either stick with the older version of Pages on the iPad or get Pages 5 for the Mac which is only available if you are running OSX 10.9 Mavericks.
Unfortunately that is not the end of your woes because Apple has made iCloud convert the files to Pages 5 now, and Pages 5 has over 90 features deleted on top of doing a shocking job of converting older Pages files.

Ok this is bizzare!
Thank you for your response, I went throught each and every step without any luck, even got the recovery programme, and painstakingly tried to sift through all that mumbojumbo to find what i needed. finally found the bookmark bit, but it had been fully overwritten :(, so on reading about previous ff versions, found the sqlite thingys, and they were relatively unscathed(partly written over, but saveable apparently TG), saved them to adiff drive, amongst other possibly good folders. Then looked up how to install them, and it said to close FF, and install to profile folder.
So i tried to close FF, and the original problem from a few days ago, where it asked me if 'i was sure i wanted to close this window as it has X tabs open', popped up again. This is where 'open blank page' selection was set, over 'open previous tabs'. Wanting to save that info on how to sort out these friggin files, I reset the Option to 'open previous tabs', and closed FF. After unsucessfully searching for the profile folder on my laptop, i opened FF intending to search online for where i could find said folder.
AND BANG, surprise surprise, the FF I had just closed with only tabs open about finding out what the heck to do, had disappeared, and instead my original saved tabs were up, and my bookmarks are there..... I am gobsmacked! what the heck just happened there???
I have made 3 back up in different folders now, of those friggin bookmarks. I am weary now tho of shutting it all down.... what if its back to the other pages I had with no bookmarks, tomorrow :(

Any ideas why iCloud doesn't automatically synchronise my Pages documents on my MacBook Pro like it does with my iPad and iPhone?

You have to drag the files to the iCloud site; it's been rumoured that Mountain Lion, due out in the summer, will provide direct syncing of iWork documents.
