I have an infoaxe add-on attached to my Firefox browser. It took over my home page and is stuck in my browser with no way to uninstall it. I need help!
Standard uninstall instructions are unavailable. add and remove programming is also unavailable. It isn't shown in add-ons either.

If you had installed infoaxe, uninstalling it from your browser is extremely easy. For firefox, Go to Tools->Addons->Infoaxe Firefox Toolbar. Now click on uninstall and restart your browser.
You can reset your browser homepage by going to Tools -> Options in Firefox and Tools -> Internet Options in Internet Explorer.

I'm sorry I don't have any information it just appeared on here yesterday. Possibly one of the kids downloaded something or my fella. I have removed the toolbars but it still keeps popping up and I get other pop ups although they are disabled. I am not very computer minded/technical, so any help is appreciated.

I want new tab to open to home page and why does firefox not have a simple check box in the options because I can't keep going through the long tedious procedure each time I install firefox. Go to command Prompt -

In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

I have tried everything I know to retrieve the iPhoto Library app. I detest this new Photo app, which obviously wasn't designed with photographers in mind. I desperately need help in retrieving the old app and have not been able to do it so far. I have gone to my app folder and tried to update my iPhoto Library. I have gone to my trash and brought it over to my desktop and still cannot use it. Please help!
Try this fix discovered by User photosb189:
From Finder, hold down the option key on your keyboard and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen
Select Library from the drop down menu
Then navigate to Application Support > iLifeAssetManagement > assets
Right click on the 'sub' folder and choose Compress
Drag the resulting zip file to your Desktop (as a backup)
Go to your System Preferences and choose iCloud
Turn OFF the iCloud Photos option
Go back to Library > Application Support and DELETE the iLifeAssetManagement folder
Now, in System Preferences, turn the iCloud Photos option ON
iPhoto should now be able to launch. Give it enough time to re-download your Photo Stream content. if you are missing any of your My Photo Stream photos (more than 30 days old), unzip the sub folder on your desktop and drag that into iPhoto. -

Since I downloaded Mozilla Firefox on my new computer, Babylon search engine keeps taking over my home page. Is your iMac running okay? Where are you getting this update from? Especially if it is an e-mail, I would not do what the 'update' is suggesting.
Your profile shows you are running Mavericks. If everything is okay, then it would appear to me you don't need to download something to run Mavericks. -
