This has nothing to do with iPhoto. When I have this type of problem I call tech support for my email service. They probably are the only source of the correct settings

If Excel works as do other apps, you should be able to tap and hold on the attachment and then select "Open in Excel" in the window that will open. Note that you need to be subscribed to and signed into Office 365 to be able to edit documents in Microsoft's apps.

If this problem continued across an iPad with Retina to an iPad Air it is almost definite it is one of your apps causing the problem. Run it for a day with no apps loaded on it, if it doesn't freeze then one of your apps that has not been updated is causing the issue. And the Technical Service in Spain gave you correct information.
It was no different when Mr. Jobs was still in charge (I was around for iOS 3.0) and it is no different on a Surface or a Note.

The AirPlay feature is only available whe you have an Apple Tv. You can mirror the display form your iPad if the iPad and Apple Tv are both connected to the same WPA (or the same Wi-Fi). Air Drop is a way of sharing files, such as pictures, PDFs, and text documents. Hope this helps.

The only YouTube videos I can find that show show iPads with TouchID are clearly labelled as "concept videos", they are *not* videos of actual new iPads. Most seem to date from the period between the release of the iPhone 5S and the release of the iPad Air and Mini with Retina display.
As you will see from the specs and features listed on the Apple website, and every one of the zillion or so reviews of them that have appeared in the last few days, neither of the new iPads have TouchID. So if My Apple are telling you it's coming to them in the near future then it's big news, very big news indeed, because this is the first anyone has heard of it. Your Apple TV and iOS device (iPad) need to be on the same network subnet. If they are you can verify when playing that the ATV is set as the output device by clicking the icon to the the right of the fast-forwrd button. Or you can double-click the home button and swipe left twice to see this.

Have you tried giving it a reset? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple let go and let it reboot and see if htat helps.

Apple does not repair iPads, but will replace the entire iPad for a flat fee. If you have AppleCare+ on the iPad, the cost will be relatively minimal; $49 in the US. Otherwise, select the appropriate issue on this page:

and look at the Out Of Warranty Cost section.
There are independent iPad repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipad repair". You can also look for parts and instructions and do the repair yourself. Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPad serviced by an unauthorized shop or perform your own repair, you will get no further support from Apple.
