Most of the time I try an send a imessage on my new ipad air I get a not delivered message

1. Make sure software is up to date
2. Make sure Messages is enabled; Settings>Messages
3. Make sure Date and Time is correctly set; Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
4. Make sure Push Notification is enabled
5. Make sure phone number or email address is correct
6. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together) until you see the Apple Logo

If you have owned the device, as in purchased from Apple, less than a year then there will be no charge to repair, or most likely, replace the device. If you have had the device more than a year you will be charged an out of warranty cost for replacement ($219 I think) and that is much cheaper than a new device. If you have Applecare+ then you have an additional year of coverage and the replacement will be $49 or $79 depending on when you got the Applecare.

My ipad air strated spontaneously restarting yesterday. Now it just cycles on and off and is completely unresponsive. The volume, power and home buttons don't respond. If Ralph's suggestion doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

iPad mini won't power on. (It belongs to a young lady in my Bible study group so I don't know what OS it has installed.) I've tried all of the advised restore & recovery tips. It will not boot into Recovery Mode at all. I've held down the Sleep/Wake button - nothing happens. I've held down simultaneously the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button - nothing happens. I've held down the Home button while plugging it into the computer to force it into Recovery Mode - nothing happens. I have attempted to charge with 3 different cables (all of which work on other devices), 3 different computers (Vista, Win 7 & MacBook - again all of which work with my iPad 4) several times. It does not register with iTunes when you plug it in, of course. (Again - My iPad 4 does on all computers and works just fine.) I've attempted all of the above with the Hold toggle in both positions just to make sure I was getting it right. The red slider never appears. The Apple logo never appears. A battery indicating a charge is needed never appears. I'm at a loss. And frustrated. Please advise.

Assuming that you followed all of the steps in the support article correctly as you claim that you have, and if that didn' tdo any good, it's time for the child's mother to gather up the device and head off to an Apple Store and get their help. If the child received the iPad for Christmas, it's still under warranty. There is only so much that you can do in the way of troubleshooting and once all of that has been exhausted, it's time to get the Apple Experts involved.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.

So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.

First, you can sell your ipad 1 to places like gazelle.com, cashforyourmac.com, sellyour mac.com, or many others out there. The sites I listed give you cash. At this point gazelle.com is giving $70.00 for any ipad 1 in 'good' condition. And cashforyourmac will give you $25.00 over what gazelle.com or sellyourmac.com offers you. Shipping is free.
Then, with that money, go the the Apple online certified refurbished store. As an example, a new 64gb Air costs $699.00. A refurbed 4th gen 64gb costs $529.00 and a 3rd gen 64gb costs $499.00. Personally, I'd skip the 3rd gen. So if you buy a 4th gen 64gb at $529.00 minus what you can get from a sale to above, you can get an ipad 4 64gb for just over $430.00, a savings of savings of about $270.00. If Excel works as do other apps, you should be able to tap and hold on the attachment and then select "Open in Excel" in the window that will open. Note that you need to be subscribed to and signed into Office 365 to be able to edit documents in Microsoft's apps.

FaceTime was by demand of the UAE government blocked in the iPad's hardware. As stedman said, there's no way you can activate FaceTime now.
