I have rebooted my iPad several times. I haven't changed any security settings.
Did you reboot/reset your iPad like this?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

What happened first is Firefox was revving and using most of my CPU, ultimately "not responding" too easily and for too long, so I closed it in order to reopen it, but Firefox remained running in background (Task Mgr, Processes) after closing, continuing to use almost all my CPU, so I ended the process in Task Mgr.
When I went to re-open it, window opened and told me Firefox could not be opened because another "instance"(?) was still running, to close it or restart Windows. I couldn't close it because I already closed it AND ended the process, so I restarted Windows.
When I tried to open Firefox, I got the same pop-up. I think I restarted Windows one more time, and then uninstalled Firefox, except for my personal settings (in order to save the bookmarks, which I couldn't find in the Firefox folder in Program Files (only Favorites, which were not my bookmarks; I later wondered if they were part of the Firefox add-on "Add This" --??).
I then uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it. When I tried to start the newly re-installed program, I had the same pop-up telling me Firefox was already running and to close it or restart Windows.
I searched my computer folders for anything that might help, did a Search of the computer for "Firefox", and was given some Firefox folders and if they weren't from the new re-install, I deleted them. One thing I noticed was that the program folder did NOT have the program (Firefox.exe) icon to start Firefox.
I uninstalled Firefox and had to resort to using Internet Explorer, which I do NOT like. My rich library of bookmarks are who knows where.
I don't know if this is related, but in searching my computer's Administrative Services and Component Tools (and the like) hoping to find something that would help me fix Firefox, I inadvertently learned that "MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly. Name: .NET Framework 1.1 Config."
Please help me get Firefox back and figure out what is going on in my computer that led to this. I am a basic user and not techno-computer saavy, so if anyone can help me with this, please give me step-by-step bonehead instructions.

I am trying to delete the icons that websites use which are located in the user file of appdata/local/mozilla,
and the website adresses that are located at the bottom of the thumbnails when opening a new tab. clearing data deletes the actual thumbnails, however the adresses are still located below where the thumbnails would be. I have tried clearing history with everything checked, and all history selected to be cleared, and also deleted the cache and cookies. what can I do to delete these things? Using Windows 8.1, when I went to view some jpg's earlier today, I found they now show as "Adobe Acrobat Documents." When I try to open one, I get the error message that they are jpg's and Adobe is unable to open a jpg.???
And it was easy -- once I went to "Properties" in Windows Explorer. That was the tough part -- finding where to make the change.

My App store doesn´t work under my user. Everything is ok if I start with a guest user. I have a Yosemite MacBook Pro. How can I solve this? Because I'm unable to open the App Store, Mail, Contacts and so on. Please can you help me.

We have a Dell computer with iTunes (which we have had for years) and are suddenly unable to open it. The message: This file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes. Help!!

Well, it seems the problem I listed in my previous post (unable to wireless sync with iTunes 10.2) has resolved itself. My iPhone now syncs wirelessly. Happy for small miracles!

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see when you try to play a video in iPhoto?
can you play the video from outside of iPhoto with QT Player?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
Download and install QuickTime Player 7 for Mac OS X v10.6.3 or later and try playing the videos again.

I'm running Mozilla-firefox on a Lenovo laptop. Last night the screen changed suddenly. brief alert about patch. unable to open email inbox to read/send emails. logged off thinking all would be right by morning. today, can access internet, google, etc, but unable to open email inbox. plus the listing of the various yahoo accts has changed the sequence order. please help. i depend on my email for my livelihood. i can read emails on my blackberry so the issue is not my internet provider.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Hi I Run Windows 7. Since upgrading to Firefox 4.0 I am unable to "clear history" and get the message "QuickTime failed to initialize". I can delete history when in safe mode with plug-ins disabled. Re-installing quick time fails to resolve the issue. Any ideas or suggestions?

The 20 meg message is the download limit for 3G. If you can't get rid of the 'OK' message then you can do a reset by pressing and holding both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
You should be able to download the apps by switching to wifi on your iPad or downloading them on your computer's iTunes and syncing them or dragging and dropping them over to the iPad device. -
The LOVOO app has hijacked the app store on my ipad. Plus, it often redirects me to the hijacked app store when I'm in safari (from any number of anodyne sites). I've cleared history and cookies, and will now reboot the whole ipad. What permanent fix?
I have exactly the same problem with my iPod touch 5. The Lovoo application hijacks me to the App Store constantly. It is a nightmare. This is disgusting.
