i already have an ipad,but i have bben given a iphone 4s which was my sisters old phone, her new phone is still not connected to her phone net work for some reason, how do i reset the phone without her loosing all her details

If she setup her phone in Find My Phone, she must remove it at icloud.com and turn it off on her phone's Find My Phone app. Then you need to restore it as new.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

You shouldn't be using the same account on phone iphones. Have him setup his own and make sure his iCloud is logged in with that one

I suspect you have the original, 1G iPod touch. Those can only go as high as iOS 3.1.3,
If y ohave a 2G those can go as high as 4.2.1

Either use copy/paste and then format/style as desired, or take it to Pages or WORD and insert chapters - which may still require resettling.
If you're looking for a 1:1 port, with all styles and layout intact, you may be dissapointed, tho.

What you should do is erase the phone, then set everything up using your Apple ID. You don't say what version of iOS the phone is running, but look here: Settings>Messages...if iMessages is shown, turn it off. Do the same with FaceTime & then delete the iCloud account, it it exists: Settings>iCloud. Once you do that: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. When finished, set everything up using your ID.

Unfortunatly the only way that you can get it off is to get the old user to input the password. You may need to contact that old user and see if he can put the old password in. hope this helps.

You can set up your iCloud account on your iOS device under: "Settings > iCloud" and a other account for store purchases under "Settings > iTunes & App Stores". Unfortunately merging accounts is not possible but you could transfer all of your music manually via iTunes from your Mac or PC.

Flip the Ring/Silent switch. Make sure Vibrate when silent is off in Settings>Sound.

I have bought a phone off my brother in law. It's an iphone 4 how do I unlock the phone to allow my O2 sim?

Is there anyway I can manually unlock this phone to allow my O2 sim card to be used? It is a sim for iphones as mine got stolen and I got a replacement sim. Ideally I would like to do this myself without having to take the phone to an independant shop who will charge me silly prices. Only the carrier to which it is locked can unlock it if they offer that service. Apple does not unlock phones. Sorry

It's not very likely that any harm came of this. It sounds as though they were trying to get your daughter to enter some personal information into the website. If she did not do this then don't lose any sleep over it.
If she did, just change whatever passwords that might have been associated with the personal information she provided.
If your computer starts exhibiting some heretofore strange behaviour, pay attention to it so that you might describe what it is. As I say this is unlikely to happen.

Did you already try to reset the phone again by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again?

You can make one or more calendars of one iphone sharable and the other user will be able to have those sharable calanders synced. Unfortunately, you can't do that with contacts. But you could go to the computer account used by you or your husband, perform a backup of the contacts (see the file menu), copy the file to the other account used to sync the other iphone, and restore. It's a manual process that has to be performed periodically, but doable.
The other method is for each of you to use the same iCloud ID and have both iphones synced to be identical. But I don't recommend that otherwise you'll each get the same text messages and who knows what else.
