My iphone will not turn on even when its charging, how do i fix this?

ok so i bought a used iphone 4g offline. well i received it today and it does not work at all. I cannot turn on the iphone by the on/off button. Also I cannot turn on the iphone even while its charging, in fact it will not charge. As I Know Apple's policy on replacing the iphone, One must purchase a warranty. I Have not done so again due to me getting this iphone offline. Is There Any Tips On How To Get This To Work?

Not sure who you bought the iphone from (btw there is no "4g"), but if it was from ebay or some stranger, then I would get in touch with the person ASAP and ask about this problem. You could also try using a different USB cable, since the current one MAY have a probelm with charging, as other users have experienced. If nothing can charge the phone, then I would be very worried.
I assume you have tried the usual trick: reset.

This has been happening to me as well with an iPad 3 running iOS 8.1. This is what I do and it works for me. Toggle the setting for Multitasking Gestures off and then on again, Settings>General>Multitasking Gestures>Off. Then toggle it on again.
I have to repeat the sequence from time to time as I have not found a permanent fix. I think that iOS 8 is by far the buggiest iOS release that I have used since I have owned an iOS device.

It will only play when placed on a docking station and then I cant scroll to pick songs, I can only go to next song using buttons on docking station.

You will need to have the hold switch replaced.

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Here is something interesting that i have noticed though. my main pc (which is the one i have always managed my itunes account with for years) is a 32 bit system running windows 7. Yesterday I installed itunes for the first time on my new netbook which is a 64 bit (windows 7) system and it works just fine. i have three other laptops (all window 7) in my household that are all 64 bit operating systems and ALL have updated to 10.5 and THEY ALL work fine. this is FOUR 64 bit systems ALL updated w/10.5 that work and ONE that is a 32 bit that will not. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. I'm out of ideas and patience!

Well, you use the different accounts such Phone Numbers, email addresses. And make sure that your iPhones have no receipient address in common, then you can avoid this issue.
I use iMessage on my iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, iPod touch.
Each of them has a individual address to receive messages, so they won't combine all the messages among all the devices.
Try this, if it doesn't work, tell me, I'll figure another way out.

Cant get the screen to turn on. It is completely black. I'm not a techie so I'm not quit sure what to do. I read a post about using the FN key with one of the F keys as well as turning off & taking the battery out. Tried it and nothing happened. The laptop is powering on and I can hear the fans turning but the monitor itself won't turn on. Any suggestions or advise? I do have issues with it over heating too.

MBP Screen will not turn on unless the backplate is off.

Started noticing that the screen on boot would remain black. Don't have warranty and figured it was a pinched flex cable or something. Took of the back plate and realized the screen worked just fine when I tried turning it on. There is a minor dent on the back plate, could this be the issue? Would minute pressure on the logic board cause this problem?
Everything looks in good working order and all the optical cables are in tact. Not sure what I should do. I can't afford a repair especially if it's a faulty logic board.

Our school has about 30 MacBook Pro's and this is the case with all of them. If your battery is 100% drained, the MBP will not start up until the battery is about 10%. This is probably some sort of a safety feature or something.. i don't believe it is a hardware problem. I have never drained my MBP battery that low to know what happens but my guess is everything is okay.

Phone was not updated on time so it automatically shuts off and you get a plain black screen until it is recovered and updated. Well when i did the update and recovery I received an error. I went through the steps to fix the error, I had to restart my computer and now the phone isnt recognized on my computer or in itunes. The screen is still completely black so pushing the home button and plugging in to computer still does nothing. Device manager shows nothing in usb port, and apple mobile device software is installed and running. Any help?
