Yes it would, possibly even brick it.
Have successfully connected my ipod nano with iTunes so looks like the device driver is working.
Can I use my ipod nano USB connector to check?
It is not much help to you, since the device that you need still not recognized.
Anyway looks like I may have to swallow the loss of data. Have set-up a call for tomorrow with Apple support so will wait until after this before doing the factory restore!

How do I access content that has been backed up to iCloud? I no longer have an iphone, but I want to access the music/pictures I've stored to the cloud. When I logged in to iCloud, there was no tab or option to view content. Please help.
Without an iPhone or iPod Touch to restore the backup to, you cannot access the camera roll photos stored in the iCloud backup. Signing into the account on your computer and enabling photo stream will only allow you to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days, and any shared stream you were subscribed to.

I have been unable to download adobe acrobat pro, which I purchased on a month to month basis almost exactly 1 year ago, since I purchased it. I just received a renewal email and it had a link to download the program and for the first time when I clicked on the link it actually sent me to a page that had the icon to download now. I clicked on that, but when I went to open the file and start downloading after about 3 minutes into downloading it says an error had occurred. Can anyone help me?
I am a little worried. If you are an existing subscriber why would Adobe need you to download... I wonder if the message is a fake.
I'm not clear, if you've had it for a year, whether you need to download, or you are just following the email?

Recently I installed iTunes on my computer so that I could put music on my new iPad and it was fine, the next day when I went to put some more on it it asked me to download the newest version of iTunes and I did but since then I have been having trouble getting access to iTunes. Creative cloud shows CC and CC (2014), if i try running (2014) I get an error that I need to login.
I have adobe Creative cloud and it shows CC and CC (2014) for every program, if i try running (2014) I get an error that I need to login.
When I look at my adobe subscription it says Creative Cloud Free membership but I pay 49.95 a month for full access.
Why am I not able to use CC(2014).
If I pay the 49 monthly should I not get upgrades to all my apps instantly?

I have an iMAC w/OS 10.7.5. I was working in Firefox today and as I was entering letters it changed to unrecognizable characters so I had to exit the application. Firefox froze up and after trying to re-open it many times, I finally tried uninstalling and then re-installing. When trying to open a new download, I am given an error message saying that firefox is already open or that files are missing. I spent approx 2 hrs on the phone with Apple support and they were unable to locate problem and I am now turning to you for help. I need this fixed desperately and ASAP as the program that I use for work will only run on Firefox.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

I am on my MacPro desktop. I am using iPhoto vdrsion 9.2.3.
While perusing my photos, I click one and attempt to print the photo (Cmd P).
I get a dialog box alerting me to an error which reads: There were no themes located. Until at least one theme has been installed, this feature will be unavailable.
I have tried downloading the latest print drivers for my HP Photosmart C4200 but no luck.
Although I know that a basic theme allows you to select border, borderless, etc. for your printed photo, I cannot figure out how to install a theme.
My workaround is to email the photo to myself and print it from the Preview app.
PS: I read in another forum that I should check in user/library/app support/iPhoto for a Themes folder and if found, I should move it to HD/Library/App Support/iPhoto/ and reboot. But I checked for Themes folder in both of these locations and it is there!!! With some 98 entries. So now what? Reinstall?????
Any ideas?You'll have to reinstall iPhoto in order to get the themes linked back to the application. To do so you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder,

I have successfully downloaded the trial of InDesign and Photoshop, but the trial of illustrator errored. It says update failed. I have tried to hit Retry a number of times but am getting the same thing. Any advice would be appreciated.
Gw17 I would recommend reviewing the installation log file to determine why the update has failed.
