I HAVE AN IPHONE 4 I TURNED IT OFF AND NOW I TURNED IT BACK ON AND IT WILL NOT WORK ONLY SHOW THE APPLE ICO

Can anyone help me how to make my iphone 4 work I turned it off and now I turned it back on and it does not work it only shows the APPLE icon on the screen it has being like that for past 9 hours.... HELP PLEASE

Connect iPhone to Wall Charger and Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart itself. Usually takes less than 15 seconds of holding both buttons.
If you decide your iPhone is not working properly, and you decide to Restore your iPhone Firmware then do this. Open iTunes on computer, then connect iPhone to computer, then hold both Home and Power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware.

    You will have to try putting it in DFU mode and allowing it to update. Once it has begun, you can't stop it.

    The 8 pin Lightning connector can only output 720p and lacks all iPod Out functionality unlike the full iPod Out functionality and 1080p that the 30 pin connector has and I suspect that they are coding iOS 7 specifically for the new devices which have severely reduced abilities and perhaps skipping adding the code needed for 30 pin devices to use their functionality with HDMI, etc.

    If you decide that you want to Restore the iPhone Firmware then. Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both home and power buttons for exactly 10 seconds, then release the Power button, keep holding the Home button for about another 20 seconds, until iTunes recognizes the iPhone in Recovery Mode. If the iPhone screen is black this is good. Restore the iPhone Firmware. If you get Recovery Mode but the iPhone shows the iTunes screen you can try to Restore, but if it fails, do the instructions again until you get Recovery Mode with black iPhone screen.

    Did you try to set it up "as new device" without using the backup afterwards? How to set up your iPhone or iPod touch as a new device
    If this does not work, get it serviced or visit your next Apple Store.

    Funny thing, even this page was loaded and then quickly turned blank for me (I'm writing from Chrome).
    Hope they fix it soon!

    One thing you can try is to reset (reboot) your iPad.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  If the logo is already there, keep holding for at least 20 seconds.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow if it appears.  If you are successful, the iPad will restart after a couple of minutes.  Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.
