I have an iPhone 4 now and I just got the iPhone 4s so how do I backup all my data from old phone to new?
I have the iPhone 4 and just upgraded to iPhone 4s how do I backup my data before I activate my iphone 4s? Please help!!
iOS devices are designed to be sync'd with a single computer, so thinking of future updates, backups and so forth, yes, it would be best to do it on your computer - the one you normally use for iTunes.
Note that backing up also does not backup everything in iTunes. Contacts, for example, will be backed up into whatever contact management program you normally use on your computer (eg. outlook on a Windows PC, contacts on a Mac).
If you have never backed up your iPhone, now is the opportune time to do so and learn how. Not having a backup means if anything goes wrong with your phone (or you loose it or it is stolen), you risk losing everything on it.

I've had my iTunes account for about a year now, and I just got the iPhone 5s. I logged into my iTunes account on my phone just fine, and all the music I've bought on iTunes has transferred to my phone, but the cds I burned haven't. I have the iphone 5S and it doesn't seem to even connect to my macbook because when i connect it to my phone, a message on my laptop shows that I have to install he new version of itunes on my phone. How on earth do I do that??? I Already have the latest version of itunes installed on my laptop already.
It should be telling you to download the latest iTunes on your computer... you can't install iTunes on your iPhone.

i just got the iphone 4 and my husband already had on. we share an itunes account and i signed up for i cloud and now ALL of my husbands contacts are on my phone ... so I started to delete them (because i thought it would just be off my phone) and he called screaming ..." please stop deleting ... they are coming off my phone!" so two things ... how can i get the contacts back ( i got up to j) AND is there a way to get them off just my phone
Unfortunately there's no way to get back the contacts you deleted unless he backed them up somewhere else. He'll just have to recreate them. This happened because you are both syncing contacts with a shared iCloud account. When you do this, the synced data is merged and any actions you take on one phone (such as deleting contacts) is also reflected on the other. To fix this you both need to have separate iCloud accounts (you can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores). To do this, on your phone go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The other phone will not be effected by this.) Next, set up a new iCloud account on your phone using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload your data to your new account. At this point you will have two different iCloud accounts, one for each phone, with identical data on them.
You will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the unwanted data (such as deleting the your husband's contacts from your account, and vice versa). These changes will be reflected on each phone. When finished you will have individual iCloud accounts with just your own data on them. -
I just got the iPhone 5s the Friday it came out. So today i decided to turn it off because some of the apps are not working. Now that i turned it off, it will not let me turn my phone back on until i plug it into iTunes. But i have and now its saying that until my iPhone is restored i can not plug it into iTunes. I already have . alot of stuff such as picture and contacts that i do not want to lose. What is going on and what can i do? This is honestly the most frusterating thing about IPHONEs. PLEASE HELP, I CAN'T HANDLE MUCH MORE. This should not be happening. I did NOT pay 300$ for this to happen in a less than a month of coming out.

Just got the Iphone 4s in June, now everytime I go to download an app, it will not download. When I go to get updates, the apps will not download. I tried, reinstalling, resyncing, turning the phone off and on, what is happening? How do I fix this?

I just got the iPhone 5s, I have had a 4 for the last few years, my husband uses a galaxy. I have never had issues with any of our phones connecting to the cars Bluetooth until this one sometimes it will connect and sometimes it won't. I drive a gm car. A friend of mine drives an Acura and said she is also having the same problem? I have to connect the phone every time I get in the car.
