I have an iPhone 4 with ios7, but I'm not using it like a phone, just using it like an ipod. Everytime I try to connect my iPhone it said that "iTunes cannot connect to this iPhone. An unknown error occurred. (0xE8000084)." What should I do?

I was halfway updating my phone to iOs7 when it froze halfway through where it shows the apple symbol. So I turned it off and now it says that I have to connect to iTunes. So I did and it said it was in the recovery mode and should be restored. I restored it and then it come up with a message that says "iPhone cannot be restored. What was the full wording of the error message? Usually there is also a number or additional information.
Try placing the iPod in Recovery Mode and then restore
Next try DFU mode and restore.

More than likely a hardware issue. You will need to take your phone into Apple.

There is plenty of space over 260gbAre you absolutely sure there's 20GB in use, and not that it has 20GB free? If you click on the hard drive icon on your desktop and click cmd-i to Get Info, what is the available space?

I have been trying for months to put iTunes on my laptop and kept getting installation errors in Windows 7. I gave up and just installed iTunes on my PC running XP.
Now I have to install Quicktime on the laptop and once again I get an installation error 0x800736FD.
All windows updates are fine, none failed.
I have removed all apple software from my laptop using CCleaner, common files and folders. Tried reinstalling and still the same error.
Could you offer any advice on how to get both quicktime and then iTunes working??
