I have an iphone 4s after update to ios 6.1.3 not getting all text
I have an iphone 4s and after the last software update to ios 6.1.3 I am not receiving some texts sent to me and some of my texts are not received. I have an iPodtouch (not updated still on ios6), that is getting the texts that my iphone isn't and delivering texts that my iphone isn't. I can only use the iPod touch with wifi. I really need my iphone to receive and send all my text. I'm missing meetings because of this. This is affecting my business! Please Help! Thanks.
This is really likely to be more of a carrier problem than an iPhone problem so I would recommend that you talk to them. However, it would be worth doing a reset on your iPhone to see if that improves things. Do this by pressing the Home button and the Sleep button at the same time for about 15 seconds or so, until the apple logo comes up then release them. The iohone will then reboot. This might fix your problem but if not, talk to your carrier.

The iPhone is not JailBroken. what I did is, on Thursday i:e 20th Sept. opened itunes and Restored (Restore + Alt ) By selecting the 5.1.1 firmware file from Itunes LIbrary.

We've an article that provides the following troubleshooting steps that may help stabilize your iPhone.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:

If your iMessage and FaceTime still hasn't activated by now, I would recommend you use this specific section of the following article as long as you verify you've done all the other troubleshooting from it for this issue:

That's exactly right. And since you have a MacBook Air (as I do), that means the synching should occur just fine (if you've set it up right in iTunes). In other words, once you actually do the update, the iTunes on your MacBook Air will re-sync your photos back to your iPhone.
Basically, the process is that your iPhone gets backed up, wiped clean, then the new iOS version gets installed, then the backup gets restored. That will restore everything in the article above, which does not include your photos. But the sync process that happens after the iOS installation would restore your photos from iPhoto given you've set it up that way in iTunes.
When you have your iPhone plugged into iTunes, while looking at the iPhone's summary page, click "Photos" on the right side of iTunes to see how you have your sync set up.
Regardless, it sounds like you'll be fine! Your photos will wind up in iPhoto once you place them there. They will be safe there. -

SMS is a carrier feature, what did your phone carrier say when you contacted them about your issue?

There is no way to go back. You can try reseating your nanoSIM or replacing it. Or call your cell provider and have them check the provisioning on your phone.
Or Restore your iPhone from your backup in iTunes. -
