You can not access the backup directly.
Did you restore your replacement from this backup?
If so then you already have everything in the backup on your device.
If not, you can wipe the device and restore from this backup:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings

Incorrect IP displayed, but can connect to the Internet. How can I find out what's causing this?
I'm running 10.6.8, and various programs and websites that report my IP address are not displaying the correct one. I'm operating with a static IP, and I know my AirPort's IP, and the one displayed is neither of those (and in fact cannot be given out by my airport).
I can still connect to the Internet, but some services which require people to connect to my IP fail because the program on my end is hosting at the wrong IP.
Is there any way to find out where this rogue IP came from and eliminate it?
Of note, my AirPort is my only active network protocol (all others are disabled), and about 10% of the time, a restart manages to fix the problem until the next time I boot up my computer, without me changing any other settings.When you use the Internet, you need to have a registered IP address. This is provided by your ISP, and you have assigned it to your Router.
You then get a "private" IP Address from your Router via DHCP which, by definition, is not visible or reachable on the Internet, in one of these ranges:
192.168.xxx.yyy
172.xxx.yyy.zzz
10.xxx.yyy.zzz
Your Router acts as your agent on the Internet, and bad guys cannot send you... anything you do not have your Router ask for, as you are invisible. -
When I start Firefox, the password manager window asking for master password pops up in a few seconds even when I have not gone to any specific website that requires me to login. I have the Zotero addon installed which requires login to synchronize itself. However, when I am not visiting a website and the password manager's master password window pops up, I am not sure of what application/website is requiring a password. Is there a way for me (as a user) to know what application is trying to obtaining a login/password from Firefox's password manager?

How can I find out what is causing this error in SQL Developer Data Modeler
Friends,
I am trying to import entities into into SQL Developer Data Modeler from Oracle Designer 10.1.2.3.
In case of need I perform these steps to perform the import:
File --> Import --> Oracle Designer Model --> Select database connection --> Select work area --> select application system --> select one entity --> Click finish --> Import starts
During the import process I see an alert dialog box with the message:
There are errors in import - check Log file Clicking Ok dismisses the alert box and I see the following summary screen:

Firstly, in a versioned repository you should see Private Workareas and Shared workareas, so your workarea may be in either of these. It won't be in the Global Shared Workarea, as this only for non-versioned repositories. (I like to open the RON by selecting the full Repository, that way I can see the private and shared worlareas and the configuration and containers all in the same tree.
Now your workarea is defined by a set of rules, so when you expand the workarea in the RON, and select the object, then that's the workarea and object you'll see in the import dialog in the Data Modeler. So if you check it out and check it back in, and can't see it in the RON, then the rule is not seeing this object. (Did you refresh the workarea in the RON?) If you can't see it in the RON, you can't see it in the Data Modeler. If you're working in a versioned repository, you need to work in the specific work area, i.e V27 and this is what you need to select in the Data Modeler.
It looks like you are selecting the wrong workarea in the Data Modeler.

The times reported for data usage on your bill do not necessarily reflect the time the data was actually used. The system gathers information from the cell sites and reports on a schedule.

I don't believe that there is a way to do that. I would sugest using automatic downloads to keep your apps synced across both phones. You might also want to note that just about any app you have ever download will be available for free download via icloud.

Can anyone provide some insight on the problem that I am experiencing? I have an IPhone 3GS. Four of the 8 total gigs are taken up in the other category. I have attempted to delete apps numerous other things to free up space; however, I cannot determine why so much of the device's capacity is taken up in the other category. How can I find out what is stored in the other category to free up some of the device's storage capacity.

My daughter's 8GB iPhone4s is showing 4.7gb used space and only 430Mmb free - but when we go to Manage Storage the total of all items listed there is less than 1gb.
How can we find out what is hoarding all of this space, and why is an 8gb device only showing just over 5gb in total space (used and free)?
We've just upgraded to IOS 8.1.3, but also had the same problem with IOS8Connect the iPhone to a computer and use iTunes to check its storage. Do you see more than 1-2GB of Other? If so, the phone must be restored to correct that issue.
5GB of total storage sounds about right for a phone advertised as 8GB. A portion of the space is used for iOS and included apps and some goes "missing" due to the way the device calculates storage.

After burning a successful DVD in iDVD out of FCPX, how can I see the settings it used?
So I finally burned a DVD out of a Apple Pro Res file into iDVD in PAL format. My question now is how can I find out what the exact burn properties were so that I can apply the same burn properties to a project in Compressor 4?
Is it possible to see what iDVD did?I don't know any way you can interrogate iDVD to reveal settings to the extent that you can in a Compressor project. What you could do is open up the show's VOB in MPEG STreamclip, go to File and Reveal Stream Information; that will at least give you some rudimentary info like average bit rate. Perhaps someone, with more iDVD experience, can chime in here.
The broader question is why use Compressor at all if your current workflow is doing the job to your satisfaction?
The value of Compressor is that it gives you control over the many parameters that affect size quality. and playability. The Compressor presets can give you a starting point for DVD delivery, Web, etc. From those presets, people typically experiment by adjusting the parameters until they get the desired results for their specific show. It's a little bit science and a little bit art. After experimenting, you may be able to get slightly better quality for the project you've successfully burned in iDVD by using Compressor and something likeToast…or maybe not.

How can I find out what is on my macbook that results in continual usage and usage charges from the satelite dish when turned on, even in the middle of the night- which doesn't happen with my other macs?
I have BusyCal installed, but no alarms that I could find.
However, I do think I've found the source of the sound: the Firefox add-on "LiveJournal." It routinely checks my LJ and plays a "ding.wav" file whenever there are new posts to my Friends' page. I noticed that the sound started happening more frequently, but after I closed Firefox, it stopped. But since Firefox didn't have any sound/notification settings on its own, I thought to check the extensions, and voila!
I'm pretty sure the problem is solved, but who knows if the sound will mysteriously return...

My Mac is telling me that my hard drive is almost full, i have used 7.65 GB for Audio. 16.58 GB for Movies, 9.89 GB for photos, 788.6 MB for Apps and 284.03 GB for Other. how can i find out what "other" is so I can delete it? I hope someone can help me.
If OS X is reporting you need to remove some items you obviously have a more severe issue.
To fix your issue is likely too complicated and lengthy to go into all of it here as it sounds like a OS X issue, it will require the services of person very familiar and experienced with Mac's to first recover your data and then restore OS X back to a functional state which may or may not require new hardware/software installed.
If your under warranty or AppleCare, take it in for service.
You can also hire the services of a local Mac computer support technician experienced in these matters.
Have them look at your Wifi, RAM amount, extra storage and computer backup proceedures in the process.
