I have an iPhone 5s which I recently cracked and also managed to crack the home button. Is there anyway of replacing the home button so it's Touch ID sensor is functional again?

On my iMac, when I open Address Book, I have sub-settings for addresses, i.e., Friends, Neighbors, Professional, etc., and those show up on my iPhone as well. But I can't access the sub-settings on my phone, only the master list. Can someone tell me how to make it all work as it did with the previous OS? Thank you.
If the contact groups are listed on your phone, the way you access them separately is to open Contacts, tap Groups, then check only the group or groups that you want to see (and uncheck the others by tapping them), then tap Done.

Since I updated to iOS 7.0.4 on my iphone 4S, I can no longer see addresses or notes in my contacts on my phone. The information still exists in iCloud online. How do I get full contact info onto my phone?
There is another problem which may be related. My desktop computer at work is running Windows 7, and I was recently upgraded to Office 2013. Outlook is not showing contacts on my computer any more, just in iCloud. However, when in iCloud, it does included addresses and notes, so I don't think this is caused by the same error as the iphone problem,
I have refreshed, reinstalled and rebooted, to no avail.I would say that you would want to look into the "Exchange Mode" for GMail. That would allow your iPhone to sync calendars, contacts and email with GMail just fine. Doing the same with your outlook should also then sync those same with your PC using Outlook. I've done teh iPhone side of this, but I since I don't run Lookout for my email client, I'm not sure how that will work on the PC side.

Help please. Following the most recent update my voicemail receives incoming messages but I cannot play them. I cannot access visual voicemail either. Also imessaging no longer sends messages. So I have had to resort to text with my work colleagues.

I have an iPhone 5 which has died completely and won't charge.
I have had the phone since January last year. The sleep/power button doesn't work (the worker in the store reckoned I wouldn't be eligable for the replacement service because there a scratch on one corner of the phone). The phone is completely unresponsive even when plugged into the charger. This is the second time this has happened, the first time I took it into the apple store and the guy managed to fix it but a week and a half later and it has died again. Short of taking a hammer to the phone, what other options do I have?

It seems that the original is no longer there and the second one has saved in its place. Is there any way I can retrieve the original. I did not have timetravel installed, but do now.W,
Assuming that you began your editing session by saving your work somewhere, you should be able to scroll back through your document in roughly 10-minute intervals, or less if you saved a version more often than that by typing Command-S, which would be good. Click on the document name and select Browse all Versions.
If, on the other hand, you opened a new document and typed for hours without ever giving your document a name and storage location and then overwrote it, you may be out of luck. Perhaps someone who knows more about the internals than I will come along and tell you where you could poke about in the file system to look for a temporary file that might contain bits of your work. Otherwise you may have to consider it a lesson learned the hard way.

My Ipad went into disable mode after my grandchild entered the wrong passcode several times. I have the correct passcode, but I have never synced the IPad. It says Connect to Itunes Diable Ipad. I have many pictures I do not want to lose and I have never backed up. Is there a way to open the Ipad without losing all of my pictures or data.
You should be able to recover any pictures you have taken on your iPad (in Camera Roll), but not application data etc, by connecting, via USB not wifi , to your computer.
If you are using a mac, connect your iPad, if iTunes automatically launches close it, run iPhoto and wait till your iPad is shown under Devices, you can then import all or selected photos.
If you are using Windows, again connect and close iTunes if it starts. Then browse the device using explorer, your photos will be shown on the device in My Computer held in a folders under DCIM (or something similar), you can copy and paste them into which ever folder you want on the PC.
The rest I'm afraid is gone unless you can remember the passcode, sorry.

Pay no attention to iinami, the amount of replies to people saying their handsets must have been jailbroken everytime iTunes throws out an error is tremendous. (Clearly you don't need to have any real knowledge to get to level 3 on these forums, let's hope apple's geniuses know a lot more than some of their customers.)

My iPhone 4 has the same problem. Other people I know have similar issues. Other threads in the forum have commented that there could be a problem with the screen proximity sensor that is triggered by your ear being near or touching the on-screen mute or speaker button. They claim that an external case or a screen protector could cause the proximity sensor to malfunction, or possibly the screen needs to be cleaned. I tried putting a non-conductive thin cover over the phone, and it did not help. In my opinion, the phone works as designed. Other than switching to another brand phone or Apple fixing it with a functional iOS update versus a pretty iOS update, I've only found one solution, which is to use a headphone/microphone or a hands-free device. Of course, using a headphone/microphone is often inconvenient.

I have an iphone 4 which is currently synced with a non apple laptop and I wish to sync it with my new imac. I have just backed the phone up on my laptop but am not sure what I need to do now. I have an iphone 3G which has been disabled after a child tried to get into it. Itunes will not connect until I have put the passcode in but the device will only enable emergency calls and does not allow a passcode to be put in. I have put it into recovery mode and itunes can't see it. There is currently no SIM card in it and it's not connectng to the wifi so I can't wipe it from the cloud. Any ideas how I can get into it?
iPhones require a SIM for activation.
Put the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore via iTunes. -
I have an older iPod Touch, Model MC086LL with an IOS software version of 4.2.1. Many of the applictions which I had previously purchased were recently upgraded and they no longer can be loaded on my iPod. What is the fix?
Reload older versions from iTunes on a computer, or buy a newer device.
