I have an iPhone4s and I'm trying to download a short video from my email that I made in windows movie maker to my camera roll. It's 15 seconds. I've tried the wmv format and also the mp4 format. There is no option to save it to my camera roll.
Once I email the video to myself and open it on my phone, there is no option to save it to my camera roll. I've tried holding the link (which gives me the options: open, add to reading list, or copy), changing the format from wmv to mp4, tapping on the arrow in the top right (options: reply, forward), opening the video then tapping arrow (open page in safari?), and selling my soul to the devil. I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks.
Problem solved. It wasn't working in gmail so I used the default mail app and it worked..after hours of searching for a phantom solution.

I'm getting this error message: "User not registered for online use" when i'm trying to download music/ track names from a CD into ITunes on my Windows 8 PC. I'm registered and my itunes account/ appleID are all correct and working.
The ""not recognized for on-line use". error is associated with the Gracenote service that iTunes uses to look up and retrieve metadata for CDs. Some users have reported that this error occurs when trying to import from CD, subsequent to upgrading to version 12. A number of slightly different solutions have been reported (though all of a similar nature).
Try walking through the following steps - before starting you may have to enable hidden files and folders to be viewed - in Windows 7 / Windows Explorer select Organize > Folder and search options, then on the View tab make sure that Show hidden files, folders and drives is selected. Without this you won't see the AppData folder in C:\Users\username\
Exit iTunes
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete the following files:
CD Info.cidb
com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If this doesn't work:
In iTunes, select Edit > Preferences and make a note (or take a screenshot) of your preferences settings in all relevant tabs
Exit iTunes
In Windows Explorer, go to the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete the following file:iTunesPrefs.xml
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If this second procedure does work, you'll need to restore other iTunes preferences settings to those that you noted in step 1.
If this one didn't work:
Exit iTunes
Check the following folders:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes
C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Apple Computer\iTunes
Delete any copies of the following files:
CD Info.cidb
com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist
iTunesPrefs.xml
Restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
Again, if this procedure does work, you'll need to restore other iTunes preferences settings to those that you noted in step 1 of the second procedure. If you're still not able to retrieve CD info:
Exit iTunes
In Windows, select Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features. Find the entry for iTunes, right-click and select Repair.
When this process has finished, restart iTunes
Insert a CD and see if details are now correctly retrieved from Gracenote
If none of these have worked (and almost everything I've seen suggests you should be OK by this point), you may have an issue with the installation and configuration of iTunes itself. If you have got this far, see turingtest2's notes on Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for advice on how to remove and replace of all components of iTunes. -
I have an iMac 10.8.2. When trying to download a photo attachment from an email I received the following : "You can't open application IPhoto because the classic environment is no longer supported." This occurred on 10/25/12 at about 11PM CST. The iPhoto icon in both the dock and the application folder is grayed out with the no or do not enter symbol. How can I resolve this so I can access my photos?
I have two iPhoto icons in applications. One is grayed out and has the no symbol, the date of last modification is Oct 25, 2012 11:07pm. The size is 110 KB and kind shows Applic…lassie). When I click on with CMD i it shows:

Is there an app that is similiar to windows movie maker for the iMac.
What I am trying to do is add some drawings that I have created from Paintbrush to Imovie and have them move in order (to make it look like they are moving) to some music. What I have found is I can not add these drawings to Imovie. Any suggestions would be helpful.
You may want to try FrameByFrame, a free application that allows you to simply stich pictures together into stop-motion. You can then save this stop-motion sequence as a video file in the format of your choice, which you can then use in your iMovie project.

QuickTime 7 Upgrade and Windows Movie Maker v6 Audio Problem
Since ITunes up graded my quick time player to the latest version I can no longer add audio to my movies made on Windows Movie Maker version 6. The application crashes. Get a copy of MPEG Streamclip and convert your MPG file to QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC). In FCE, select one of the setups that uses AIC that best matches your clip (say, 1920x1080i60). Create a new sequence, then import the converted file.
Note that if your MPG file is actually MPEG2 you will also need the QuickTime MPEG2 Component in addition to MPEG Streamclip.
What was the source of the MPG file? How about if you open it in QuickTime, then do Window > Show Movie Inspector. Tell us what it says for codec/compression, frame size & frame rate. -
I am trying to download an epub book from the library, which I have been doing for almost a year. Now I am being asked for my adobe id, which I enter and I get an error message stating Adobe Activation Request Error:2004.. What's this ?
I downloaded Blue Fire Reader and it requested an adobe id. I clicked on the link that was in the error message stated http//adeactivateadobe.com. Found out that if the date and time on my Ipad is wrong that it won't let me download a book. I was off 5 hours. I reset my clock settings and adobe id let me download a book from the library. I am back to using Overdrive and adobe again on my ipad.

Just bought a new imac and tried to download all my music from my iPod but it only allow me to download purchased items and not the rest of stuff stored on a previous pc itunes folder. How do I get round this ?
The simplest way to transfer everything is to copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to /Music/ on new computer.

i am trying to download OS X Lion from the app store and it says it can not complete my purchase becuase it needs at least 2GB of space and over 2GB on my computer...any ideas??
That requirement is referring to the need for 2gB of RAM, not hard drive space.

rented a movie on itv. It started downloading. I accidentally hit the menu button and it threw me out of download. I went back and tried to download again. I got a message that I had already downloaded it and go to "settings" and on "iTunes download". The wheel is still spinning after several hours. How do I get the movie?
Ok problem solved; signing out of iTunes account and signing back in solved it.

3rd time trying to download additional content for mainstage....takes 15-20 hours each time...then asks for my password/id for permission...starts installing and about 1/4 of the way..it dissapears and nothing is installed....confused and frustrated..:-(

I have created a movie of vacation pictures on my windows movie maker. ( Windows vista) When I open the timeline, click on audio, and drag a song from itunes, windows movie maker shuts down, and the song is not transferred. Are these systems incompatible? I got an error message that I should connect to Wi-Fi after trying to download a Book Sample from the iBooks Store. I still get this error message even after I bought, downloaded, and transferred the file to my iPad's iBook thru iTunes. Wi-Fi ain't cheap.
Hi I had a similar issue to you, I could connect to the router but no internet. Here is my explanation of how I sorted it.....I hope this works for you.
*To anyone that is reading this it appears that the problem lay in the airport setting: IPV6: set to 'Automatically'. I turned it off (after reading someones plight on MacFixIt) & everything is back to normal.*
*The worrying thing is although my problem was extreme with other computers on the network being locked out nothing was changed, one minute it worked the next it didn't. Reading on other forums it appears to be a problem with laptops (but I could be mistaken). A lot of people on the Macfixit forum are complaining of network just dropping out even when they are next to the router.*
*I hope this is the fix (although I dont know why it suddenly went to sh*t!) & I hope my hair pulling & trawling the forums can help someone else out.*

It's for my grandfathers funeral video tomarro and i can't get the songs i just purchased on itunes to work. They play but wont work when i drag them to the movie maker program. it says that the codec for the song isn't installed. codec?

The songs you purchased are in AAC format, which Windows Movie Maker cannot handle. You can use iTunes to make MP3 versions by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550 and the MP3s will work fine.
Note that when iTunes does a conversion it creates a new file and leaves the original in place. Make sure you are grabbing the new MP3 for your movie and not the original AAC.
