- Delete all AB and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Audio Book (if present) and delete
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Thanks for helping me.Check the location of your iTunes library in the preferences, and navigate to that folder. The contents will vary depending on how onld teh library is etc, but there should be a folder for applications. If you do not see it, navigate to the App Store within iTunes and download a free app. Then go look again. Copy your old apps from the CD into this location. You will need to ensure that whatever iTunes ID was used to purchase them originally is authorised in the new iTunes library.

Iphone will not synch with itunes after downloading most recent itunes version
I updated to most recent version of itunes and since then my 3GS iphone will not synch with itunes. the phone is recognized by my windows computer but not recognized within itunes. I redownloaded itunes and Q but nothing. Can anyone help?
I have a Dell XPS 8500 with a 64bit i5 Processor and an Apple 4s and I have the same problem. I have been searching for days and can only get the phone recoginzed by disabling power to USB ports and there is no way I can get ITunes to show devices, so I can't see the IPhone. People say Apple monitors these sites but I haven't seen any response from a technical person. Have you? My hunch is they know about the problem but don't have a fix, and have other priorities for their team. If my hunch is correct, its quite extraordinay because I am close to selling my 4s and getting some phone which is easier to work with. Time is my scarcest resource and I have devoted way too much of it to this issue.

Any help is much appreciated.This "original file cannot be found" thing happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

So you successfully transferred the music from your iPod to your new iTunes library correct? If so, did you restore your iPod to factory settings after that? Maybe start there for now.

I can see my apps on Itunes but I cannot access them.
I can see my apps on the computer screen but they are transparent. The pointer device does not work on them and they are not listed in my library in Itunes. My library shows that I have no apps at all.
Each app works on the phone but I cannot delete any apps, nor load apps via the computer. In fact none of the links - music, video, photos in Itunes when viewing or sync my Iphone work. They are all there on the screen but it looks as though a transparent film is covering everything. This has never happened before and is a recent problem. If so, is Installing Apps and Deleting Apps enabled as a Restriction?

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:

Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test again. -
