I have an ipod classic 120gb. Its not getting recognized by itunes and i am unable to format it even though it says i must if i want it to appear on itunes. It does'nt work on any computer so its not the usb. ive reset it a few times but no luck. Any ideas?
Here is some of the info i got, im not sure however what they represent.

If Windows or Mac can recognise it, then reformat it using a Hardisk Partition tool, if not, it is time to replace the Hardisk.
The High Pending Number, indicates some bad cluster, which Hardisk firmware can't reallocate or remapped. This maybe due to, leaving the iPod in a Hot environment, damaging the Hardisk.

The funny thing is, if i uninstall itunes, Windows 8.1. will detect my ipod but when itunes is installed, both itunes and windows 8.1. cannot detect my ipod. IPod Classic 120GB is not recognized by computer even after hard reset
I have an iPod Classic and it recently would act like it was playing music but was not in reality. I ended up having to hard reset the iPod. Now that it has been reset it will not sync with my computer. I hook it up and the screen reads +do not disconnect+ my iTunes will not recognize that there is an iPod connected and when I open My Computer it often freezes or tells me that I need to reformat the iPod for it to be recoginzed by Windows. I do not have the option to format it to FAT 32 though. What do I do??

I went into the link and looked at the 5 R's. Nothing there. I couldn't restore the iPod if I wanted considering I would need to connect my iPod to the Computer which I cannot do.
Putting iPod into Disk Mode - did not work - I tried the click wheel instructions, but it did nothing at all....it was totally unresponsive. then I went and did the *If you have an older iPod model without a Click Wheel* instructions get to the fourth step where it says
*When the Apple logo appears, immediately press and hold the Previous and Next buttons until the Disk Mode screen appears.*
but the Disk Mode screen does not appear. It goes straight to ""ok to disconnect"
Is there something else going on or something trivial that I could be doing that could be messing up these instructions? -

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

I am using Tiger, 10.4.11 and have an iPod classic 120 gb working fine with about 7 gb of music on it. I just got another iPod classic 160 gb for my wife, and would like to sync it to the same iTunes file, but I got a message which says I must upgrade to iTunes 9.0 or later. If I upgrade to 9.0, will my 120 gb iPod be o.k. with that? Rumor: I have heard that iTunes 9.0 or later changes the format of the music.

If anyone knows, could you tell me what will happen if I download iTunes 9.0, and install it. I bought an ipod classic 120gb in 2008. once by mistake it went in along with laundry in washing machine. I kept it under the sun to let it dry and tried to start it but it wouldn't.I kept it for charging and it started normally.after around 1 month when it got fully discharged i again kept it for chargin but it showed white screen.Although i could hear the sound of clickwheel and songs too but the screen remained white..Some suggested to replace the screen. Please help
It's likely that the moisture fried some of the internal components of the device. You'll need to take or send your iPod in for service/repair. Apple will do an out of warranty exchange versus actually repairing the device as a third party service would do.

As soon as the devices connected to your network the printer should appear as AirPrint.
You may ensure it is connected by clicking the wireless icon on the printer screen to locate its IP, then type the IP into Safari and check if you can access the printer homepage from your iPad.
If the printer conncted but still not being detected as AirPrint, ensure you have the latest firmware for your printer:

If the printer still not being dedected I would rather suspect the network as AirPrint uses Apple Bonjour and therefore require your network to support multicasting to operate..
You may test it by temporary setting direct connection using Wireless Direct, if the printer being detected without using the router please clarify your router brand and model to better understand your router capabiities.

In iTunes, if the sidebar (along left side of window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar. The iPod should appear in the sidebar, under DEVICES. It does not appear there, when you connect the nano?

I Have an ipod shuffle 2nd generation that is not showing itself in itunes. When i look in systemprofile is does show in de usb section.
