I have an ipod classic 6th generation which has a 160gb MK1626GCB HDD in it. This drive has failed so I bought a new one. I don't know how I've managed it but I've ended up with a 160gb MK1634GAL. Can I just get a different ribbon so it fits?

I don't know how I've managed it but I've ended up with a 160gb MK1634GAL. The connectors on the hdds are different on the hdd end but look the same on the mb end. Can I just get a different ribbon so it fits? Ive looked for one and have found a couple of different ones and the seem to be specific to the ipod although I cannot find one specific for the 160g. Can anyone shed some light onto this?

Did you turn proxies on? If so, you should turn them off.

I have an iPod Classic 6th Generation 160 GB and I loaded lots and lots of music. Ideally what I want is to stream music from my iPod wirelessly to speakers so that I can walk around at home and have my iPod in my pocket and change tracks, kinda like a remote control. Is there any way that this can be done?

I just purchased a 120gb iPod classic 6th generation from a friend. I have the latest iTunes installed and the software on the iPod is also current. My problem is whenever I'm syncing the iPod and iTunes freezes between the 250- 300th song... I have to manually reset the iPod for the iTunes to run correctly, but then my music isn't added and iTunes tells me I have to restore the iPod... I've done this numerous times only to no avail... Someone please help!!!
Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -
I have an iPod nano 6th generation and I downloaded 3 music videos but they won't play on my iPod. They only play on my laptop/iTunes. How can I get it to work? I know that my iPod should take music videos because there is a pre-made playlist called "Music videos". Can anyone help me please????
You can sync the music videos, but they won't play on your 6G Nano, because it does not support video playback. Sorry.

The AirPort Extreme should work fine with BT Infinity (as it works with Virgin Media).

So I'm looking to buy the iPod Classic 6th Generation (80gb) because it's cheaper than the 7th Generation. But after some internet research, people are saying the sound quality is really bad. Is there any way to upgrade the sound quality, and just make it better?

I have just bought a second hand ipod classic 6th generation 160gb, I synced it with my itunes and all seemed well, the library on the ipod shows fine when connected, however when I disconnect it, he ipod is empty.

Try syncing a different way, like enabling Manually manage music and videos. Then you can drag and drop the music that you want on it. Also try and restore your iPod Classic if that does not work either.

Dont buy this model again, this is the most common problem and i have gone through 4 of these 6th gen nanos all with the same problem. You can find youtube videos that show you how to fix it yourself but you run the risk of breaking your ipod, also opening the ipod voids any warrently.
