    Hi troy157,
I'm sorry you are having issues with the iMovie app you purchased for your iPhone5.
The first thing I would suggest is to log out of your iTunes Account on your iPhone, turn the iPhone off and then on again, and see if app finishes downloading/updating.
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Tap on your Apple ID account > Tap Sign Out
If the issues persists, the article below will give you a few more troubleshooting steps:
iOS: Troubleshooting applications purchased from the App Store
Try the following steps to resolve your issue, testing the app after each step.
    1. Update your device software
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
    2. Check for app updates
Ensure that your apps are up to date:
Open the App Store and tap Updates. If updates are available, tap Update All.
When prompted, enter your iTunes Store account information. App Store will then download and install the application updates.
Note: Some applications may require a Wi-Fi connection to update.3. Install another app from the App Store
    4. Restart the application
If the issue affects only a single app, try closing just that app:
Press the Home button to return to the Home screen.
Double-tap the Home button to display recent apps.
Tap and hold the affected app until the red minus appears.
Tap the red minus to quit the app.
Press the Home button, then restart the app.
    5. Restart your device
Hold the Sleep/Wake button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the Sleep/Wake button to turn it back on.6. Reinstall the affected application
Remove the application from your device and reinstall it.
Touch and hold any application icon on the Home Screen until the icons start to wiggle.
Tap the "x" in the corner of the application you want to delete.
Tap Delete to remove the application and all of its data from your device.
    Press the Home button.
    Go to the App Store.
Search for the application and then download it again.
Note: If it is a paid app, ensure you are using the iTunes account you purchased the app with originally. If it is not, you will be charged for the app again. For more information regarding downloading previously purchased items, see this article.
I hope this information helps ....
    Have a great day!

  • Daughter's iPod touch 4th gen is stuck in recovery mode, won't turn on after I restore it, please help...

My daughters iPod touch 4th gen is STUCK. Somehow it was disabled because of too many password attempts (my younger daughter was pushing numbers). I connected it to iTunes, did the press and hold power button + home button, then let go of sleep button. iTunes recognized it, gave me the option to restore it and did its thing. Here's the problem, now it won't GET OUT of that mode. After the first attempt, it wouldn't power on after I disconnected it from the computer. So I hooked it up again, and it says its detected an iPod in recovery mode and offers me the same "update & restore" option it did originally. Now what??? Please help. My daughter just got this two weeks ago for her birthday.

  • My Ipod on it's own works fine, but when I connect it to Itunes it tells me that it is in recovery mode, over and over again!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

I restore it, but when it's restored the same message comes up. Also, since I've done this, my Ipod restarts itself everytime I disconnect. HELP!!!

by reset option do you mean the DFU restore? worked for me, have you tried that?
if not - hold the lock and home button until the power down bar comes up. then hold the lock button for ten seconds - next continue to hold the lock button and press the home button for ten seconds - next release the lock button and hold the home button for 10 seconds. this should be done with the phone tethered. If done right and your itunes is configured as such, the phone will reload the drivers and start up itunes, and then prompt for a restore/update.

My iPod nano 7th generation is stuck in the recovery mode. It's a perpetual loop. How do I restore my device to normal so that I can sync my music?

    Hi akki2094,
Thanks for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.

  • IPad 2 that is stuck in recovery mode

I have an iPad 2 that is stuck in recovery mode from failing an update.  It does not show up in iTunes or in My Computer but the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed and working properly.  I plugged my iPhone up to the same computer and it works just fine.
I have tried everything I could find from all the forums and nothing has worked.  Un-installed and re-installed iTunes, restarted Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, restarted the computer, held Home and Power buttons down.....I have no clue what else to do!
    Can anyone help????

    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Connect USB cable to computer
    3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
    5. Release the Home button
    6. Open iTune
    7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
    8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times

  • I Have a Ipod Classic that all my music is on. After my previous computer crashed I have not had any of my music able to be transfered to the new computer from the Ipod. Is there a way to do this

I Have a Ipod Classic that all my music is on.
After my previous computer crashed I have not had any of my music able to be transfered to the new computer from the Ipod.
Is there a way to do this?

Unfortunately, unless you have a backup and can restore the iTunes library to the new computer, you are stuck with the current state of the iPod. This is one of those things that makes doing backups so important.
Unless your music is all purchased from iTunes (not from your own CD's that you imported into iTunes and then downloaded to the iPod), you will be able to re-download all your iTunes store music back to the iPod when you install iTunes on the new computer. When you first attach the iPod to the new computer and new iTunes the first time it will tell you that this iPod is synced with another iTunes library and let you initialize the iPod (which will erase everything on the iPod - so don't do this unless you don't care about the stuff on the iPod now).
I've seen 3rd party apps in the past that will let you copy music/content from iPod to computer and bypass iTunes, but not sure if they still exist as this was several years ago.
    good luck

  • I have an iPod classic that syncs my entire library, I'd like to buy a smaller iPod, a nano maybe for the gym. Can I use the same library or do I need to set up a new library for the 2nd iPod? Is that possible? I mean for one to have 2 iTune librarys?

In other words, no. You don't need another iTunes Library for your new iPod
Another iTunes Library, that's only if someone elses music is mixed in with yours and you want to create another Windows user account with their music in it.
The iTunes Library is the master vault containing all your content, from there you create playlists or smart playlists specially tailored for the smaller iPod's storage requirements.
For instance if the iPod can hold only 2,000 songs, then you create a smart playlist based upon those rules/limitation. Plus what type of music you like.
You have a incredible degree of control with smart playlists, they update automatically so you only set the conditions for what goes into them. Including content from other created playlists and smart playlists.
Then, when you hook up the smaller iPod, it has it's own sync options, "all of your music and playlists" or "only select playlists"  So you use the second option to select just the smart playlist you tailored for the new iPod.
When you hook up the iPod Classic, only it's sync options are used, not the new iPod ones.
I hope I explained it better this time.
