I have an Ipod that I downloaded my own music from the old computer. I would like to add them to my Itune account, but more importantly I would like to get them onto my new computer. Any solutions?
I have a Ipod that has my personal music on it from a previous computer. I would like to sync the music from the Ipod to my new computer. How can I do this?
The music sync is one way - computer to ipod/iphone. The exception is itunes purchases: File>Transfer Purchases
Use your backup copy of your old comptuer to put everything on the new one.

I am losing a hard drive on an old computer so I performed a sync of all music from the old computer to my ipod nano. Now when I sync my ipod nano to my new computer/Itunes all music will not upload to new computer/software. What am I doing wrong?
I’ve never needed to do that and am fairly new to using itunes but try doing this. Go to, “Store,” in the itunes menu and select, “Authorize this computer.” Enter apple id and see if that works. I heard that method is used to transfer purchased media to a new computer but I don’t know if it works for regular stored media. Please let me know if that works.

I have downloaded all my music from the cloud to my new iPhone and created playlists so I can listen to it when not it wifi like when on a plane. If I turn on iTunes Match will I still have this music still downloaded? The online information suggests all my music will be replaced. Will I have to download it again??
What you have on your computer is your iTunes library, not an iTunes "account." The account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID, which you use to sign in to the iTunes Store and make purchases. It is also used with iCloud. iPods (that are not iPod touch) are associated with your iTunes library, not to your Apple ID.
So, I think you probably just need to set up (or update) automatic syncing for the iPod. If it's not set up to sync those new songs, iTunes still syncs the iPod, but it syncs nothing
In iTunes, if the sidebar (along left side of iTunes window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar. In the sidebar, the iPod appears under DEVICES, when it is connected.
Select the iPod in iTunes. There is a row of buttons, starting with Summary. Click on Music next to Summary. This is the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box for Sync Music (if it's not already checked). If your iTunes music library fits completely on the iPod, you can choose to sync Entire music library. Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres. On the lists below, checkmark the playlists, artists, albums, and/or genres that you want on the iPod. When you click Apply, the songs from your selection sync to the iPod.
One convenient way to set this up (if you can't sync the entire iTunes music library) is to create a new playlist in your iTunes library. Name it "iPod Songs" (or whatever you want). Put ALL songs that you want on the iPod on this playlist, including those new songs. Back on the iPod's Music screen in iTunes, select this playlist under Playlists. Going forward, to update songs on the iPod, just update that playlist in your iTunes library (add/remove songs). The next time you connect the iPod (or click the Sync button), iTunes automatically syncs the same changes to the iPod. -
i'm retiring my old computer (with windows xp) and bought a new computer (with windows 7). How can i easily move my itunes music from the old computer to the new computer? i have my playlists organized in my old computer, i would like it to stay that way in my new computer. I also have my ipods, iphone sync'd in the old computer so i want to make sure that things won't get messed up (my apps, playlists, etc) when i move over everything to the new computer and sync all my devices with the new computer.
Thanks in advance for the tips.Make sure the XP box is upgraded to the latest version of itunes. Also make sure it's using the itunes media folder layout as explained here, because that's what the W7 is going to be using.

Install itunes on the new W7 PC.
Get these folders from the XP machine
C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
And put them here on the W7 machine
C:\users\username\My Music\iTunes
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ -

My old PC crashed and I ended up buying a new one. I was able to recover all my music from the old hard drive and restore it in itunes. I purchased a new album online thru itunes and added it to my library. When I tried to add the album to my 6th nano it wouldn't download. All the tracks are check marked and I can listen to the album on my pc but it won't sync onto the ipod. The new pc is authorized, any ideas?
You can only sysc with one iTunes library. The new computer is a new library. You have to restore your iPod on the new conputer and then sync.

I have a ipod touch but want to buy a ipod shuffel. can i sync my music from the touch to the shuffel and how? but if i cant how do i buy music from itunes on the shuffel?
You can't go directly from the Touch to the Shuffle, but if you can get the music into your itunes library on your computer, you'll be able to sync that music to the Shuffle no problem. Follow the steps in this article to transfer any music you've purchased on your iPod into the computer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848

just bought a brand new ipod nano and downloaded an audiobook borrowed from the local library. The book is there and playing but, I cannot hear anything. What am I doing wrong?
Does the same file play normally in iTunes? Do other audiobooks play normally on the iPod?
How does "borrowing" work? Does it require use of another app, other than iTunes, to get it on the iPod? -
My iTunes library has completely disappeared during a download of some music from the store
This morning, during a download of some music from the iTunes store, iTunes appeared to crash, as the downloads all paused and the spinning wheel appeared. Itunes then shut itself. After reopening it, all of my music, apps, vids, etc (everything), had disappeared, and iTunes was basically blank as if I had just opened it for the very first time on my computer, with iTunes match, Home Sharing, etc all signed out.
I know this has happened for other people but having looked through the discussions they all seem to be under different cirumstances. I'm running a mid 2012 2.9 Ghz macbook pro with 8GB memory, on OS X 10.8.5, with itunes version 11.1.1 which I updated to, around a week ago, when prompted to by the app store.
I've located all the music files on my hard drive in the iTunes media folder and everything appears to be there, just no longer showing in the iTunes app. I know that if I sign into iTunes match that I'll be able to access my library through that online, but I'd like to access the music on my hard drive so I don't need an internet connection to listen, so is there any way of just re-directing iTunes to the media folder or do I need to just import everything from that folder manually?Should also add, that when opening my iTunes preferences that the iTunes Media Folder Location appears to be the same one that supposedly has all the files in it. If I click change then I can see all the music, vids, etc that are on the hard drive, yet still nothing is showing in iTunes.

HT201272 why can't I re-download already purchased music from the itunes store?
why can't I re-download already purchased music from the itunes store?
What country are you in ? Re-downloading music isn't currently possible in all countries (the record companies need to agree to it for each country). If you are in a country where music can be re-downloaded, then if the tracks are still in the store then they should show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.

i HAVE AN iPad iii. iT HAS about 4000 photos on it. I just bought a new PC and the IT people did not copy all the photos from the old computer but they are all on my Ipad.
Is there a way to upload those photographs to ITUNES and have them stored on my computer. Or if I synch, will all those photos vaporize because they are not on my computer.Sync Your iOS Device with a New Computer Without Losing Data
