I have an IPOD touch 4th generation. When I try to go and buy apps from Itunes and App store it askes for ssecurity codes because it is the 1st time using it. can not remember. How do I reset it or find them?

Granddaughter put 2 in the ipod but can't remember them. how do i either change them so I know what they are or just take them out again?

My ipod has just stopper shuffling through anything but artists that start with the letter S. I can play other songs but the next one that comes around is always an S artist.

I no longer have access to the old computer and no access to the older music I downloaded onto the old computer. The issue is my ipod is locked and i'm not able to type in my passcode because the numeric keypad isn't working properly.For ex. when i hit 8 (which is the second number in my passcode) the number 5 type in. This problem happened to me a month ago. The way I used to fix it:
1. Go it DFU Mode. For going into that, check this page.
2. Connect your iPod to your PC which has iTunes and iTunes will detect your iPod in recovery mode.
3. Press Shift + Restore if you have the .ipsw firmware file downloaded on your windows PC or just click Restore and follow the instructions to download the firmware file.
4. Wait and finally you're done! -

I go to software update u set my system settings, and it doesn't do anything! It just stays still and says "Checking for Update." I pressed the home button and tried again, but the same error occurred. I do not have a computer, but I do have an Internet connection? You can connect to any computer and do it but it is a lot of work. When you restore after following the following instructions and iPod will also be updated.

I'm guessing you have Itunes on your computer, So when you go to plug your ipod touch in and itunes opens if it is syncing to your computer it will come up with "Syncing" and whatever the name of your ipod is. Click the (x) on the right hand side and it should stop the sync. After you have stopped the computer syncing you now have to click on the icon that has your ipod connected (so if it is called Ipodtouch click on that) then it should say in the info section IOs update or something like that and click on that. This will update your ipod touch to the latest IOs without syncing and/or deleting your apps. Once you have updated the IOs the apps will be synced with your computer automatically.

I have an ipod touch 4th generation and have just recently downloaded the new update. I was wondering why the videos that I had added in my playlist won't show up. Is there anyway that I could get my videos to appear in my playlist? They are still in my ipod in the video section, but just won't appear in my playlist.
iOS6 problems aplenty ....not sure if the link I inserted is working or not, but the issue is a lot more prevalent - the issue being that what shows up & plays in iTunes after the iOS6 update is not what shows up (& plays) on the device itself. This may go beyond just the iPod Touch as well.
In my case I can see & play both audio & video files in my Playlist through iTunes, but can only see the Playlists on the iPod Touch with ALL of them being empty. Syncing numerous times no help. Contacting Apple Tech. Support no help - they suggested downloading my Purchases from the iTunes Store - waste of time, did not make a difference. It is clear Apple needs to release a fix to OS6.
Another problem I noticed on the device is that the Shuffle option is hidden on the built-in Songs Playlist, having to swipe the screen down to see it - dumb dumb dumb.
