Yes, if you don't use iCloud, you can sync your data through iTunes. Connect the device, select it from the device list, navigate to the info window and choose your sync settings there.

There is no way to share your music on the iPad to his Nano without a computer - that I can think of anyway. No third party application will work unless both devices have WiFi and many of them require a computer as well.
I would suggest downloading iTunes on your PC, transfer your music to the iTunes library and then sync the Nano.
Maybe I am missing something but I don't think this is possible as you are currently set up.

By calling iPod tech support while you are under warranty. You also have 14 days to return it w/no questions asked for a replacement or your $$$ back.

You need to download and install Adobe Acrobat on the new machine to use it.
You can use the same subscription or the serial number to activate the product.

Just got a new computer, and I want my songs off my iPod and onto my iTunes

So, I just got my new computer, and I have about 400 songs on my new iTunes. However, on my iPod, I have around 3,000. Some of the songs, however, I no longer have the cds for. I really don't feel like buying or tracking down ALL of those songs again. Is there a way I can get the songs off my iPod and onto my new iTunes? And no, I'm not trying to give all these songs to my friends or anything, I'm just trying to keep them all! If I could get an answer soon, that would be great!!!!

Connect your iPod to your new computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod.
The transfer of content sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

Decide which device will be changing accounts. On that device, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll that you want to keep on the device, save them to the camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The device(s) that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iDevice. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, to delete any data that you don't want in each account (such as deleting your wife's data from your account, and vice versa) you will have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete it.

I transferred as many files as I could from my old computer through my external hard drive, but many of my cds didn't transfer. When I hook up my ipod, I see it's entire contents. My question is, does a sync only work from the computer to the ipod, or if I sync my ipod will the songs on it be synced to my computer along with all the playlists? My biggest worry is if I sync it, it will go back to the factory settings or I lose all my music. I appreciate any help.

Roboform doesn't work with firefox 5.0, but it worked with my previous version of firefox. Moreover my internet banking site does not recognise firefox 5.0 either. I want to go back to the version I had (version 3.x.x I think), but I can't see how to do it.

@the-edmeister got me on the right track. I did have the working version of evernote, BUT I had to find the shortcut elephant button by choosing to customize the toolbar. It was at the bottom of that scroll down list. A bit tricky... And I really do need the little elephant!
Unfortunately the Evernote site has left up information inferring that they aren't compatible with Firefox 5.

I just got a new Nano and I synced to itunes. My computer tells me to eject before disconnecting but when I try, it says I shouldn't because the files are in use by another application. What does that mean?

There may be a background application running that accesses mounted volumes. The iPod storage "disk" is a mounted volume. For example, this applicaiton may be something that monitors for data corruption or malware ("viruses"). If you know of such an application that you have running, and it has settings that allow you to ignore particular volumes, set it to ignore the iPod's disk.
Alternately, if you use automatic syncing (instead of the manual method) to load the shuffle, turn OFF the Enable disk use setting (unless you actually use the iPod as a storage disk). With disk use NOT enabled, iTunes only mounts the iPod's disk when syncing. At other times, the iPod's disk is unmounted. Therefore, "other" applications cannot access the iPod's disk and make it "in use." Because the iPod's disk is not mounted (unless iTunes is syncing), you can actually disconnect the iPod without clicking the Eject button.

You should copy the music from your old computer and put it on an external hard drive or flash drive. Then plug in that drive to your new computer and drop all the music into itunes from the drive on your new computer.
If you don't have access to your old computer, you will have to buy a recovery program that can copy the music from your iPod. I highly recommend iRip from "the little app factory". http://thelittleappfactory.com/irip/
The program is about $20 and it will save you from losing all your music. I have used it to save my massive music collective on my iPod classic when my old windows machine crashed. iRip also will let you grab 100 tracks for free off your iPod so you can see for yourself that the program actually works!
iTunes stores music in these directories:
Windows: C:// ... /user/My Documents/My Music/iTunes
Mac OS: /User/Music/iTunes
