I have an issue with my ipad2. There is a dialogue box open stating "Cannot verify server identity - Hotmail can't verify the identity of "m.hotmail.com" - Would you like to continue anyway?" I cannot close it close this box no matter what I press. As a result I cant get in to my ipad. Any ideas on what I can do? I have tried switching it off but this doesn't work either.
You need to force quit whatever is happening to you. Try a reset, reboot. Hold the home and sleep button until the apple logo appears. Ignore the red slider.
What may be happening is that the set up for your hot mail account is wrong or has failed, and if you have push or fetch turned on, one of the first things the pad will do is to establish contact, and check your mail. If it cannot get through because of the set up, it comes to a stop, wanting you to fix that problem.
If you have a wifi only, try to start up the pad where there is no signal. And if your have 3 g, turn it off. You want the pad to thing there is no signal, so dont try to look for the mail.
What happens if you push home from that screen? It should goto the home page. Then go immediately to settings, mail, and either fix the setting, or delete the account and start over. But turn off push or fetch until you get it sorted out.

Besides the ethical and professional issues involved, the iPad appears to be linked to a different iTunes account than your personal one. Applications are tied to the account, not the device - so if you were able to use your personal account to install the apps in question, you'd be wiping out all the ones your employer put on.
If you feel these apps are necessary for your work, then talk to your supervisor/tech department about them purchasing additional copies for use on the iPad. -
I have an iPhone 5 IOS 8.1.2;
for the past 13 weeks I get the message that "this phone has not been backed up on the cloud". However, every night it is connected to wifi, phone is connected to power, and the screen is locked. Any idea why back-up is not happening ? By the way, I do not have the "back up now" option in Setting / iCloud.. Help anyone ?Try deleting an other icloud backup and see if it will automatically backup.

I have a dell lap top with windows 7 that won't recognize my iphone 5c. The driver's will not install with out a problem, I talked to apple support to try to fix this problem, I unistalled itunes and reinstalled it, now itunes did not download properly, bonjour does not load and i can not burn cds, I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice with the same problem. You are right, but how could i send it to Apple? when the phone company first replaced my iphone they had in stock alots of iphones and they just sent mine back to Apple and gave me a new one, so all i did is to give them my phone, but now how could i sent it to Apple? and i cant send it by myself, and the store wont do that, its a lost for them.. so sending it to Apple wasnt an option from the begining.
and for the record, i dont think the store where i bought it is an authorized shop.. its just a store who boughts phone's from Apple in a low price and sells it in much more money.. -

If it's a legitimately unlocked iPhone, you can use it on AT&T or T-Mobile if you like. You can not bring your own iPhone to any CDMA carrier (Verizon, Sprint, etc).

Firefox has been asking me to update, and it changed its look so I thought I had updated by accident, but it hadn't so I clicked the update now button and eventually closed computer. Today it won't open from the shortcut or through the main menu. I am now using google chrome to send this but I really need all my bookmarks, and passwords on my existing but not working version of firefox. Can you help please?

I turned mine off, as I have Norton AV. Go into Internet Explorer and check to see if you have that on and try turning that off...and then try to get back onto FF. You may have to restart your computer, I'm not sure, as I'm not a techie. I just know that the Internet Security Software clashed with my Norton AV.

I can't seem to open up Numbers at all on my iPad2. It tries to open, but immediately crashes and closes. Any ideas of what to do?
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray BEFORE doing the reset.
If that doesn't help, you might consider deleting and re-installing the app. -
Ever since I upgraded to IOS 7 on my iPad2, it does not remember my passwords, even though I check "keep me signed on". Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? I did not have this issue with the previous OS. Thank you.
Thank you, James, but I do have a WiFi connection on the iPad mini. The Numbers files update on my iPad third generation and iPhone just fine when connected to the same network.

No, it is not possible. When upgrading the iOS on the phone, the only one you can install is the latest version, which for the iPhone 4 is iOS 7.0.4.
