If it's not printed on the card, then you'll need to check the receipt from the purchase of the card. There's no way to check the value from the card itself without redeeming it.

The issue is with the MBP trackpad, and it works fine with an attached USB mouse.
With some ingenuity, you might be able to fix this yourself, but I suggest visiting your local Apple Store/Genius Bar. Some have fixed this issue and have posted their results online, but the Apple Store should be your first destination.

Sorry, but you cannot use that card with a Canadian iTunes Store account. A gift card is valid only in the country of purchase. You'll need to give or sell that card to someone in Spain.

Well, the 3G would be out of warranty, that is for sure. You can see if they will do an OOW on the device. I'm not sure what the price would be on that. Since it is out of warranty, you can also see if there is a local iPhone repair shop that might be able to fix the device cheaper. Your call.
