I have an OfficeJet Pro L7555 and I hear a loud noise from the inside

When printing there is a loud grinding sound coming from the inside of the machine.

When you next have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Scroll back in the log to the time you noted above. Select any messages timestamped from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.

I have a first gen iPad, and it will randomly go home from the Internet when I don't press any button.  I have a wireless connection at home.  Is this a known bug?  What can I do?

You maybe running low on memory since you are using the original iPad with iOS 5.1.1 and the iPad is crashing. This may help and it certainly won't hurt.
Quit all apps completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Do this before you launch Safari again. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data. You don't have to clear the history.

There is excessive swapping of data between physical memory and virtual memory.
That can happen for two reasons:
You have a long-running process with a memory leak (i.e., a bug), or
You don't have enough memory installed for your usage pattern.
Tracking down a memory leak can be difficult, and it may come down to a process of elimination.
In the Activity Monitor application, select All Processes from the menu in the toolbar, if not already selected. Click the heading of the  Real Mem column in the process table twice to sort the table with the highest value at the top. If you don't see that column, select
View ▹ Columns ▹ Real Memory
    from the menu bar.
If one process (excluding "kernel_task") is using much more memory than all the others, that could be an indication of a leak. A better indication would be a process that continually grabs more and more real memory over time without ever releasing it. Here is an example of how it's done.
The process named "Safari Web Content" renders web pages for Safari and other applications. It uses a lot of memory and may leak if certain Safari extensions or third-party web plugins are installed. Consider it a prime suspect.
If you don't have an obvious memory leak, your options are to install more memory (if possible) or to run fewer programs simultaneously.
The next suggestion is only for users familiar with the shell. For a more precise, but potentially misleading, test, run the following command:
sudo leaks -nocontext -nostacks process | grep total
where process is the name of a process you suspect of leaking memory. Almost every process will leak some memory; the question is how much, and especially how much the leak increases with time. I can’t be more specific. See the leaks(1) man page and the Apple developer documentation for details.

I purchased an album from the itunes store on my Ipad2 thinking i could access it from my windows laptop where I sync my ipod. I turned on Home Sharing and can see my laptop libraries from my ipad but not vice versa. Is there any way to fix this so I can transfer the album to the itunes on my laptop?

Yes I tried that. I finally turned off all home sharing settings, shut down my desktop and found them in my account settings in the store on the cloud. So at that point I just had it download everything. But I suspect that with the ipad somehow being on, the store was saying I had already received them? Regardless, my trip today whilst running errands, I was rocking out to vintage Police music! Thank you so much for responding.

  • I have a Officejet Pro L7680 AIO. Keep getting paper jams at the tray paper feed.

I have tried all remedies and nothing works.  The paper is jamming on the right side of the feed.  I cannot tell if this is because the left side rollers are not working or if it is pulling the paper in too fast on the right.  Can anyone offer any suggestions short of taking it somewhere for service?

This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!

Please help I can't get this software to load and now I cant use my printer

Right I done this in the end
Having spent 30mins with Apple Support this is what worked:
Finder select GO, computer, MAC HD, Library, Printers, HP
Dragged the HP folder to the desktop as a back up
Dragged the HP folder to Trash
    Restart the mac
Make sure HP printer plugged in via USB (not wireless)
Apple logo , software update, selected the HP update (triggered by the fact that the cable is connected to the printer)
    Installed the 1 item
Verify we could print with the wired connection to printer
    Disconnect USB cable
System Pref , print and scan
( existing printer will show as red i.e. offline)
    Click on add
There in the list was the wireless version of the new printer
    Tested it works wirelessly

  • Officejet Pro L7555 Hangs when printing,windows error msg - APPCRASH,spoolsv.exe

I have an OfficeJet Pro L7555 all in one printer.
I have tried and the same result on 2 different computers.I have reinstalled the entire software on one of the computers - result is still the same.
I just scanned a page to a pdf file and it did that ok.
    What happens is:
    1) i click to print and the job get sent to the printer,it starts to print and somewhere on the first page is halts sometimes with the page partly out of the chute where a completely printed page would land.I just tried to print 1 page and it did not print that page but a page that i was trying to print last night.Last night i switched the Printer off and also pulled the power plug out.
    2) it then usually tries to print the other pages, halts along the way and starts again, and the last time, it did not even print all of the whole page, and i can also get blank pages.
    3) and i get a Windows popup error box that says APPCRASH and the application is spoolsv.exe, i think, and options to find a solution online or to close
The printer is about 2 yrs old and i do not use it very much,so i dont think it is wear and tear and worn out parts, but is there something that needs replacing that is routine? But I am suspecting a memory problem on the printer though. Is this possible?? as it has printed a page that i was trying to print last night and it did it twice instead of printing 2 different pages and i suspect it is having a problem with the memory of what to print.
Thanks for any help in advance

  • Officejet Pro L7555..grabbing print roller crumbling paper at feed then jams! HELP!

I have an Officejet Pro L 7555 and the grab roller in the right rear of the paper feed tray is grabbing and pulling the paper to the right and crunching it and causing a paper jam every time now for past 2 weeks. I have followed the online instructions and pulled the duplexer and cleaned the rollers I can get access to.  But I cannot find any grab rollers anywhere??  So I went into the papertray with a flashlight and see one grey roller that drops down to feed the paper and that is exactly where it is pulling the paper to the right and crunching it and then it jams every time.
I need help trying to figure out if this is a fixable problem or if it is cheaper to buy a new printer???

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600+ and Inkjet Printable BD-R

    Hello All,
I have an OfficeJet Pro 8600+ and bought some Inkjet Printable BD-R by HP. I can't figure out a way to print on these disks from the printer I have. I don't see how the disc can be pulled from the standard paper tray as that requires the flexibility of paper to make the bends along the normal path. Is there some secret door I can't find?
I really just bought the discs for the storage and discovered the inkjet capability after I bought them. So it's not a big deal, but I'd like to take advantage of this and overcome the hazard of my crappy handwriting on discs.  :^)

  • Officejet pro 8000 and the power and resume lights keep flashing

I have an officejet pro 8000 and the power and resume lights keep flashing. I initially had the problem when I put a new black ink cartridge in. Lately there was an error message on the computer saying pump stall error, which then culminated in a print head error. I have replaced the print head at an extra £40 I have replaced all the ink cartridges which say they are low even though I haven't been printing. Basically spent the cost of the printer again  AND I STILL CANT PRINT! I'm using a Mac with snow leopard and I have reset the printer list and installed the new software and drivers. I have tried connecting with USB and Ethernet. I have filled up the paper. I have taken out the duplex and given it all a blow through. reset the print heads - basically everything the support web pages told me to do.
I have to say this is the worse printer I have ever had from HP. I always buy HP because of the quality. I have to say I feel unless this problem is solved with out me spending more money on it I will have to buy something else - and not HP ever! oh and the warranty is out by less than 2 months!

    Welcome back burtf,
I am sorry to hear about the issue you are having with your Officejet 8500 showing a message for you to turn the printer off and on. I would recommend following the guide below for this issue.

  • Not printing black ink after new ink cartridge installed (HP Officejet Pro L7555)

I have an HP Officejet Pro L7555 on which I just replaced the black ink cartridge.  Now it won't print in black at all.  I have tried cleaning the printhead multiple times to no avail.  I only get printouts of boxes in all colors except black and nothing else written on the page at the end of each printhead cleaning cycle.
When I print the Self Test Diagnostic Page, it comes out in Magenta instead of black.  On this page, it shows that both printhead are in good condition.  The ink level on the black ink cartridge is shown to be full as would be expected for a newly installed cartridge.
I have replaced other cartridges on this printer before, and have not had this issue.  Could anyone please help?

Thanks, garytech1.  I have seen the document.
Solution 1. I have used and am using only genuine HP cartridges.  The one I recently replaced was black.  I have replaced the other colors before without problems.
Solution 2. I am using the correct type of paper. There are no streaks on the printouts.  Any printing I try from a document with black text comes out blank. The only two types of printouts I have obtained are:
      a. The Self Test Diagnostic Page, which comes out in magenta and it has no streaks.  It also lists the status of the printheads as being good.
      b. The printout that follows a printhead cleaning that has all color boxes except black. There are no streaks here either.
Solution 3. I have checked the print settings (I have Windows XP SP3) and they are all correct.
Solution 4. I have printed the PQ Diagnostic page and it is all blank except for some colored boxes.  There are no streaks in them.  No grey  boxes appear.
Solution 5. There is nothing wrong with the images or documents I am trying to print.
Solution 6. I don't see why I should have to spend $70+ to replace the black/yellow printhead when:
      a. The yellow color comes out fine in the colored boxes
      b. All the diagnostics (the ones that are in the installed software as well as the ones I obtained from the HP website) all show the condition of both printheads to be good, and
      c. When all printing was working just fine before I replaced the cartridge.  Is there a physical way to clean the printheads since it appears from all of the above that it is the genuine HP ink that may have actually plugged it up?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,
Try adding an alternate driver and try to print.
To use an alternate print driver for HP printers in Windows 7:
    1. Click on the Start menu.
    2. Click on Devices and Printers.
    3. Click Add a Printer
    4. Add a local Printer
    5. Select Create a New Port
    6. Select Standard TCP\IP port
    7. Enter Printer IP address (Printer IP address can be found by printing network config page from printer
    8. Under Manufacturer select HP and under printer select HP Officejet 8000 pirinter or Officejet 7410
    9. Click apply and try printing

  • Officejet pro 8000 and HP Home & Biz print app

I have an Officejet Pro 8000 wireless that, according to HP's list, is compatible with the HP Home & Biz print app for the iPad 2.  However, the app does not find any printers on the wifi network.  I am running Win 7 and the printer is shared and works fine with printing wirelessly from the computer.  I followed the steps in the app to auto find any printer connected to the wifi, but it does not find anything at all.  The way I understand the app, it allows non-eprint capable printers to print using the app.  Am I missing something?

    Hi,
As you have mentioned the printer is shared from Windows 7, is the printer connected to the PC by USB?
In order to use the HP ePrint Home & Biz, the printer must be connected to your router by ethernet cable and then the up should detect it.
Please make sure both the iPad and the printer connected to your network.
Follow the steps below to access the printer EWS page:

Once locating the printer IP address, type it into Safari.
    Can you access the page?
