I have an old apple id on my itunes and a new apple id on my ipod touch 5th generation
i have a new ipod touch 5th generation and i have a new apple ID on there but my itunes is linked to a different apple ID which is my dad's, can put my new apple id on my itunes or do i need to create a new itunes?
You can go to iTunes>Store and sign out of his account and sing into his. Apps are locked to the account that purchased them

As far as recycling, they will take one, dead or alive, so I assume a shattered one would qualify just as well.

Apple have never accepted trade-ins agains the cost of a new device. You will need to sell the one you bought and apply the proceeds to the model you want.

I have an ipod touch 5th generation 64g . Just bought a new laptop and authorised it to use itunes library. When i try and sync my ipod it says it can't do it because there isn't enough space on my ipod to hold everything in the itunes library. I already know that i can't fit everything on my ipod but when using my old laptop i was able to choose what i wanted to sync. Now i don't seem to have the option of choosing what i can sync, it just refuses to do it as there isn't enough space. Why is this???

I have a two month old iPod Touch 5th Generation which has developed a faulty earphone socket. When I plug in my earphones, the music is distorted if I have the volume over halfway. I also use it to supply all the background music for church every week and I am struggling to get a good mix with it turned down so as not to distort. The situation is that it was a gift to me and the person who purchased it in January no longer resides in the UK and now cannot find the original receipt. However, someone did tell me that as soon as I switched on the iPod and setup the Wi-Fi and GPS, it sent information to Apple??
Question's are, is that true? Will Apple repair it without the original receipt?I have checked the warranty details online as you suggested and it says it is under warranty until the 7th January 2015. I then tried to explain what the problem was, but it kept asking me to enter my telephone number but as this is a USA website, it did not recognise my telephone number, also that the stores that I could take it into were all in the USA. Have tried to see if there is an UK option on the site, but as yet, no Joy.

Ipod touch 5th generation had to be backed up to itunes to transfer data from old iPod.Itunes backup deleted and no longer used now no longer able to be recognize my new iPod on windows or itunes. HELP.

Hi, I have an iPod touch 5th generation which i got about 10 months ago and now my sound is not working. for example my music isn't playing nor are any of my game sounds. Someone help please.

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I have an iPod Touch 5th generation and all of a sudden it started freezing on the lock screen.
I have an iPod Touch 5th generation that I've had since Christmas 2012 and suddenly today (June 27) when I tried opening one of my apps it froze and then shut the app down. At first I thought it was the app, but then it started happening to Safari and my Photos app. By time I had gotten to work when I slid the bar over to unlock it, it froze and wouldn't do anything. I had tried turning it off, holding the lock button down and sliding the power off slide, but the screen went black instead of turning off. Every few minutes it would suddenly light back up on the lock screen but wouldn't do anything after I slid the thing to unlock it. Sometimes it would seem to turn itself back on (even though I wasn't aware it had turned off, the apple logo never showed up) from black to the loading page (black screen with little circle thing lighting up to show it's loading) to the lock screen which wouldn't do anything. The time is constantly on track and the wifi connectivity icon on the top bar even shows when there's wifi, I just can't do anything with it. I could double tap the Home button and the music bar would show up and the volume level would change through me touching the screen and through the volume buttons on the side, but it wouldn't play anything. I also can hold the Home button and Siri shows up but then I can't actually speak anything to it.
I've managed to connect it to my computer and back it up to iCloud and on my computer and am trying to restore it right now, but I would like to know what's wrong with it. I've had it for about 7 months and have never had any issues with it like this before.If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

I have an iPod touch 5th generation replacement from the Apple Store, and the display is slightly yellow compared to "new" or floor models. There are also some areas where the yellowing is more obvious than others. Is it possible to get this replaced at an Apple Store?

What happens when you try? Error message?
To activate you have to enter the ID and password last used for Settings>iCloud. In most cases the Apple ID is used for Settings>iCloud but not always.

Just sent in my daughter's Ipod touch 5th generation to be fixed.....They sent me a new one. Is there any way to get the contents of her old one onto the new one? I synced the old one with Itunes before I sent it in and backed it up on my computer.
Sure, as soon as you open iTunes with the new iPod connected, it will have a "Welcome to your New iPod" screen. Just choose Restore from backup.

My wife and I brought a Ipod touch 5th generation for our grandson after which he let a bully at school take it from him and change the passcode. We retrieved the ipod from the young man with a fare amount of run around. But now we are lockout. of it and when we look up how to reset it we where told to connect to itune,but when doing so I got a error message stating that the device had to be unlock before it could be restored.
