I have an older version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and having trouble activating because I do not have internet connection

I have an older version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. I have the disk and the serial number but I cannot activate because I do not have Internet. How can I activate this product?

"Photoshop" Lightroom doesn't require activation; you just install and then type in the serial number when prompted, and it should work from thet moment; Adobe allow you to install Lr on two computers at the same time. The Internet is only really required to register your serial number, which is a very good idea in case of disaster.

I can't upgrade lightroom, without this error, anyone experienced this?

I deleted everything to do with lightroom (except my cat files) and then deleted everything I could find in the registry regedit that referred to lightroom. Then I ran a microsofts fixit program (you can get it from their website) and then tired the install of lightroom 5.5 and it worked. HUGE PAIN IN THE ***!

  • Deleting/Uninstalling Older Versions of Adobe Photoshop/Reader

I would love to know the answer to this question:
After Adobe updates my current versions of Adobe Photoshop Starter, and my Adobe Reader, can I go to add/remove, or search files, and uninstall or delete everything that has to do with the older versions that I no longer use?
Recently my Adobe Reader updated to version 7. My computer came with Adobe Reader 4.0. So, that means I have versions 4, 5, and 6 (Adobe Reader), in my system, on my hard drive, and in add/remove programs.
Also, just yesterday, my Adobe Photoshop starter edition offered me an upgrade from version 2, to version 3. In this case, although the icon for version 2 remained on my desktop, a new icon for version 3 was created, and when I try to open the v. 2, windows cannot locate it..meaning of course it has been superceded by version 3.
So the simple question is this....do these Adobe versions share drivers? Can I uninstall or delete from add/remove programs, anything that has to do with the older versions of either of these programs? Especially the Adobe Reader stuff. I have an Icon on my desktop for each of these older versions, and if I open those icons its the older version that actually come up.
So, any advice? Leave well enough alone? Remove the older verisons to take back some of my hard drive space?
    Help!
    Thanks,
    Russell Munson

    thanks jim.
i appreciate the direct answer to my question.
my adobe reader update came directly from the older version of the adobe
    reader.
in other words, i opened adobe 6.0 one day, and it either told me
automatically or i checked for a newer update, and it updated to 7.0.
but, when this update occured, it removed, or automtically uninstalled the
6.0 version from my add remove files.
and yet, the 5.0 and the 4.0 version are still in there.
so lets say i go ahead and uninstall both of those two older versions from
my add remove programs and leave the 7.0 version in there. and then i
have trouble with the newest version.
where would i go to re-download the 7.0 adobe reader? adobe.com i assume?
i appreciate your help my freind.
    thank you

If you still have your serial number, look at OLDER previous versions http://www.adobe.com/downloads/other-downloads.html
Otherwise, the US$ 9.99 plan is what is current at Cloud Plans https://creative.adobe.com/plans

  • How are Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Adobe Lightrom different

    Hi,
I found two products as "ADOBE PHOTOSHOP LIGHTROOM" and other one says "ADOBE LIGHTROOM".
Below is the snapshot as well which is getting me confused.
    Appreciate the help!!!
    Thanks,

Quote "No-one but Adobe understands why Adobe insists on referring to Lightroom as both Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom."
Up to a few months before Lightroom was released in the market and still in "Beta" mode the decision was made to change the name from "Adobe Lightroom" to "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom". This was a poor decision on Adobe's part and has led to confusion to what Lightroom is as a product.
Lightroom is in effect an alternative to "Bridge and the Adobe Camera Raw Plugin" that is available for the use in Photoshop CS and Photoshop Elements.
Lightroom is not Photoshop and the inclusion of the name only causes confusion.

  • Using older version of Adobe PhotoShop

What is the oldest version of PhotoShop that will work with Snow Leopard OSX v10.6.5?

Photoshop CS1 will run. More or less. Best bet is to just buy a copy of Photoshop Elements. The latest version runs fine, and so does the immediate predecessor.

  • I have reloaded the latest version of Adobe Flash Player and it still crashes. I am not sure what else to do.

I have the latest version of Firefox as well as Adobe Flash Player but the Adobe continues to crash. I even removed the plug-in and re-installed it and the plug-in will not work with any program. When I use a different computer Adobe Flash Player works so I am not sure what else I can do to fix the problem.

Clear your cache Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > clear now
Right-click on video > Settings > turn off Hardware Acceleration

  • Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 cannot be opened because of a problem.

I just upgraded to Lightroom 5.7.1 and get the message in the title.
    I am running OS X 10.10.1.
    None of the following helped.
    Deleting and restalling the application.
    Deleting the preference file $HOME/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Lightroom5.plist
    Rebooting.
I have an old download of  5.7.4 that I could put back, but I am concerned that if I end up going backwards in versions it might damage my catalog.
Is there some way I can determine which version of Lightroom wrote a catalog?

Thanks. I have reverted to 5.4 and all looks well.
The error message is word for word, I did a copy paste into the subject line.
There was some more generic stuff after than about reporting the problem to apple, no more details specific to the crash.

  • GoPros and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

If I have a GoPro Hero4 or Hero3, 1. Are GoPro cameras compatible with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and 2. Is the GoPro camera resolution high enough to have detailed, quality pictures

I know very little about the GoPro cameras. I just read a description of the Hero 4. The description only indicated that it takes 12 MP Images. It didn't indicate file type, but I assume they would be JPEG images. Those would be compatible with just about any version of Lightroom. I hope you aren't expecting to use Lightroom as your video editing software. Video capabilities are very limited in Lightroom, even the latest release. 12 MP is large enough to produce good quality images. The detail will depend on the quality of the lens and on your skills as a photographer.

  • Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 - Lightroom 3.0

    Hello
J'ia June 6, 2010 purchased a full version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.
It was not Mantion site there was a new version.
I hope to get a license for version 3.0 in French without having to pay an update?
    Muller Guy

I asked Adobe Customer Service (before Lr3 was released) if there would be a price break if Lr2 purchased right before Lr3 released and they said, in a nutshell: "don't count it (but ya never know)...".
i.e. it was their policy before release that there would be no price break. But, now that Lr3 is released they should be asked again. - If you do that, would you mind posting the results here?
    Thanks,
    Rob

i have switched from PC to Mac how do i use my windows version  of adobe photoshop CS3 on my MAC?

    rebel1568,
All Photoshop versions through CS6 came with platform-specific licenses, either Windows or PC.  You could get a cross-grade of platform swap at a nominal cost but not for older versions, only for whatever Photoshop versions was current at the time.
CS3 is totally out of the upgrade or cross-grade loop.  You'd have to buy a new license for CS6 Mac or subscribe to Photoshop CC, as Trevor points out.
Curt Y is correct in that CS2 will not run on current Mac-Intel machines.  You would need a used Mac G5 or G4 with a PowerPC (IBM) CPU, which have been obsolete since mid 2006.
Of course, you could run your Windows  on your Mac if you installed and ran BootCamp or Parallells.
