I have app that is installed but won't open how do i open it

I have watched all the videos, read all the FAQS and it still hasnt helped, should I completely take it off and try and redownload Creative Cloud? I am new at all this and at this point desperate and frustrated and in tears! I needed this to work bc i have a project I really need to work on, and I paid, its not the trial, and its not working

There are a number of other threads from people reporting a problem with a blank Updates tab in the App Store app - it looks like there is a problem at Apple's end which they need to fix.
Some posts are suggesting that you if you go into the Purchased tab in the App Store app you might be able to update the apps from there, though you will need to scroll through the list to find those with updates and individually update them.

You are welcome! I played with the 928 in a Verizon store and really liked it. Besides the great camera and Nokia Maps, I'd be pretty excited about Nokia Music, too. As I understand it, this free app lets you create playlists from its entire music library, which can be stored on your device to listen to any time.
There are a few members on the WP board who are really knowledgeable about Nokia and WP, so let us know if you have more questions.

An app is considered to be installed if it shows up in a Spotlight search of local volumes. Bring up a search window in the Finder by pressing the key combination command-F. Search This Mac for the name of the application. Delete all copies that are found.

Looks like you installed SpellCatcher at one time. Uninstall. I'm not sure about the lastest SpellCatcher release today. Both older versions of SpellCatcher and Unsanity's Application Enhancher causes Keynote to fail to launch successfully.

Testflight app not fully installed but won't delete

A year or so ago I worked in app development. One of the apps we worked on wouldn't install properly from Testflight. It just sits on the homescreen as the skeleton app with no image. It doesn't specify it hasn't downloaded, it's not paused, and it won't delete. It doesn't show in the list of applications in Settings, and when I plug into iTunes it doesn't show up in the library.
How do I get rid of an app that appears not to exist?!

My iPad shows that I have apps that need updated but apps do not update.

My App Store shows I have apps needing updated but nothing is there to update. I have signed out, shutdown & restarted but still nothing. This worked last time, but now same issue again.

Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. This is a problem that Apple has to fix. If you look around the forum, you will see many, many discusssions about this and they have been going on for a few days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this is a workaround - for the time being.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store.

PB Apps on BBW Downloading and installing But won't open.

I've just bought a Playbook and installed the lates OS. When I went to Blackberry World to install some apps, they seem to download and install fine but then sit in limbo and won't open. This has happened to 3 free apps now.

The apps I installed are the Blackberry Tutorial, The Belgium Zip Code Lookup and a Soltaire Game.
The apps are visible on the App World screen as installed. But no icon appears anywhere else. Touching the app in the App World menu only provides a description. There is no loss of functionality with the rest of the Playbook.

Classic is installed but won't open apps

I've confirmed the Classic OS in System preferences. However, when I try to open an OS9 app, it will appear in the OSX Dock, but will not open. I think I may have to reinstall Classic. Any ideas?

After using Macs for 24 years and hanging around these forums quite regularly for about half that time (since several years before they were called Apple Discussions), I have no clue at all what "See the bless tool's man page" might mean, or how to go about doing so. I suspect that a good many other readers of your post, quite possibly including TokyoMonAmour, will be similarly mystified. Perhaps it would be more helpful just to tell how to re-bless the System Folder.
If an OS 9 or earlier System Folder does not bear the Mac OS smiley-face logo, it is not "blessed". To re-bless the System Folder, open the folder, drag the System file out of it onto the desktop, close the folder, and drag and drop the System file back onto the closed folder. The Mac OS logo should now appear on it.

One reason this can occur is because of parental settings. eBay has a rating of 12+; if this is not allowed in
Settings > General > Restrictions > Apps
...then the app will not show up.

LR6 downloaded/installed but won't open. Help screens didn't help.

I am logged into my creative cloud account. I downloaded and installed the new LR upgrade but it won't open using either of the methods in help. I have tried a restart, no joy. Me too. Tried to get Adobe to help. After 30 minutes someone answered the telephone. Support person implied he's never heard of such a thing. Posted problem on forum. Someone asked me about my computer specs. Tried the support chat feature. Waited forever. Nobody at Adobe responded to chat request. Eventually got a robot email form Adobe stating the problem is solved and issue officially closed. Before this afternoon I had a working LR. Now, I have one LR that is partially functional and one that doesn't open.

Well I have made some sort of progress, It was not playing ball so I went into start>control panel>uninstall a program and tried to uninstall it but it said that only installed programs could be installed? So I managed to uninstall it by deleted all the files in the c>programfiles>adobe>elements8 etc. I then put the disk in and the serial number was already in there rather than me enter it? It went through the install process only then to say 'rolling back' and is then removed everything and said that the installation process had been interupted and for me to try again. So then I did a disk clean up and restarted the PC. Once restarted I then put the disk in the CD drive and away we go again. This time like the first time it asked me to enter the serial key into the box and it goes through the installation process. Success it then works BUT after coming out of it and going back into it literally 10 minutes later it says 'our records indicate that this serial key has been used already to set up Elementson two other machines which is the maximum allowed. I have 3 options 1) adobe can check the serial key again as I have deactivated from the other PC and Adobe will validate this 2) I have a different serial key or 3) 30 day trial.
The person I bought it off said they had deactivated it from thier PC
Would the earlier problems have caused the software to activate on my PC but then after I deleted it, it still thinks that its activated so its used up 1 licence or would the previous issues have no bearing and the seller has sold me a copy thats had both licences used ?

SUBJECT: FIREFOX WON'T OPEN. I have used Firefox for years, but upon reinstalling my Vista Home Premium OS, I also had to reinstall all my software. The only problem I had was with Firefox, which appeared to download and install successfully, but refuses to open. Does it start in [[Safe Mode]]? If it does, close the Safe Mode Firefox and open it normally. If it doesn't open, try creating a new profile at [[Managing Profiles]]
