I have been losing my projects when restarting the computer

Recently I have lost two projects when I re start my iMac. Prior to that happening I have had some of the photos that I am using in the project time line not show (all I see is black) when I scroll over the photos. Can any one help? Thanks

I can't be certain without looking through your event browser, but it's possible you have been editing inside a clip as if it were a project. This is a not uncommon mistake of new users.
The upper left of the timeline panel should have an icon like this
If it looks something like this you're editing inside an item in the event browser

Internet connection lost when restarting the computer

Hello everyone.
I live in Denmark, and 6 days ago I bought a new TOSHIBA pc: a Sattelite L855D-100. From the very start there has been a problem with the wireless internet connection. When I restart the pc, the internet connection is gone afterwards, and I am not able to re-establish the connection in any possible way. I have to shut down the pc - wait a few seconds - and then start the pc in 'normal' way. Then the wireless internet connection is okay.
But the problem is the same every time I restart the pc.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

A brand new computer should work right off the shelf, Svend.
I would restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media just once. And then return it for a new one if things are still not working right.

Retina MacBook Pro fan very loud and usb mouse disconnecting when restarting the computer

2 days ago, I got a brand new retina MacBook Pro 13 inch with the specs 2.8 GhZ i7, 8 gigs of ram and 512gb ssd. It should definitely be functioning properly since it's a really expensive computer, but I already noticed a few problems that I hope you can help me with.
So first of all, when I play World of Warcraft, the fan seems to go up to 6000rpm and is very loud. I checked the activity monitor and it says WoW is using about 60% CPU, so it shouldn't have to be that loud. I also installed smcfancontrol, but it doesn't seem to lower the speed of the fan.
I ran an apple diagnostics test and it couldn't find any problems, and I also tried resetting my smc, but the fan is still going very loud.
And the second problem I have is, that when I have my mouse usb connected to my Mac, and I restart it, it can't detect the mouse anymore. So I'd have to pull out the usb plug and put it back in everytime I turn on my computer. isn't it supposed to automatically connect to my mouse when it's already plugged in?

From your description of the problem, it sounds like you have a hardware/camera defect. My recommendation is to return your imac to where-ever you bought it, and have them deal with, or replace your computer with one that functions as it is supposed to. You should not have to suffer with this situation on a new computer, although it does sometimes happen.

Yesterday i synced my music to my ipod touch from iTunes. the musice went on but nothing showed up on the ipod in the 'recently added' folder. now today i went to connect it to the laptop and neither my computer or iTunes recognized the ipod. 1st a message showed up saying an ipod was detected but cuddn't be identified so reconnect and when i did nothing showed up again. i have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and restarted the computer a number of times but the ipod still wont show up. When i try to restart firefox after i have closed it i get a message that firefox is still running Have to restart pc most of the time. Is a big wast of time.So have been using internet explorer most of the time

In order to clean up items on firefox i must shut firefox down then have the problem when i try to restart firefox after the the unused items are removed as the pc thinks firefox is still running. I have sometimes seen Firefox give such a message, and do not know the reason for this. As you mention Internet Explorer I assume you are using a Windows machine.
Try using task manager to stop the firefox program.
Shortcut keys [Ctrl][alt][del] in XP, all pressed together will get task manager.
Another method is in Start -> Run keying in the command "Taskmgr" and hit Return
Once TaskManager is showing click the process tab and look for "firefox.exe", right click on it and use "end process" that should stop Firefox without you needing to restart the computer.

The old computer is an old PowerMac G5, but my OS X install disc is a retail version of 10.5.

You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

Far as your Safari problem do these things until it's resolved:
1: Software Update fully under the Apple menu.
2: Check the status of your plug-ins and update (works for all browsers) also install Firefox and see if your problems continue. You should always have at least two browsers on the machine just in case one fails.

I have verified the sharing folder and also the remote access but it not let me turn it off.

With the multitude of issues you have I would take it to an Apple store or AASP and have them sort it out. Then I would sign up for Apple camp or one on one.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Well, it appears that your backup is corrupt, thus causing your issue. So, you'll have to restore as a new device, & not from backup. Follow this by syncing your content back to your phone:

How do I get elements 12 to honor the new calibrated settings?

Ok so I've done what you said and this is what it's come back ....
I don't know that these are the errors , but they're the things which don't look right ...
Throughout the shut down there is a recurring line ;
It says ;

Then there are 2 more which I think are related ;
Com.apple.securityd 29 PID job has I overstayed its welcome , forcing removal.
Then the same with fseventd 48 and diskarbitrationd 13
Oh and on Launchd1 : System : stray anonymous job at shut down : PID 301 PPID13 PGID 13 unmount...
Then the last process says "about to call: reboot (RB_AUTOBOOT).
Continuing...
And stops ...
