I have been purchasing songs from itunes for the past year. I have over 100 songs. I recently got a new computer and I synched the iphone to it. I can't find 90% of my music. Where is it and how can I get it back? I checked itunes under purchased and it only shows 13 songs. Please help.

You can only sync with one computer. When you synced to the new computer it would have erased it and synced what was on the new computer.
You always need to have a backup, an iPhone is not a storage device.
When you get a new computer you need to transfer your library before syncing
If you don't have a backup you may be out of luck
The only thing would be if you're in the US and have access to the iCloud beta to reload purchases

First of all, look in the garbage. It's easy to move a folder there without knowing it.
Second, do a Spotlight Search (Cmd-Space), and search for a file you know should be there. If you find the file, there's a good chance that the other files you're looking for are there, too.
If you're in kind of a crisis mode, coming up with pat advice probably isn't a good policy - but I suggest investing in a backup drive in case anything goes wrong. A program like Time Machine can be a life saver.

Just try resyncing it from your iTunes library.
If it was not in your iTunes library when you did the update it is gone.

If both phones were syncing contacts with the same account, that's normal. iCloud syncs changes on one devices to all other devices sharing the account.

Where is the Messages icon? How can I get it back?

I have an iPhone5 running iOS 6.1.4.
Today I noticed that the Messages icon was gone. If I double hit the Home button it still shows as a recently used app - so I still can send and receive texts but the icon is not on the Home screen where it usually is.
I performed a Sync but Messages isn't on the list of apps anyway inside iTunes.
How do I get the Messages icon back?

The Messages app is a native iOS app and as such cannot be deleted. If you go to search screen and type it in, over to the right, does it identify a folder it is in. Usually this is what happens, it gets accidently dragged into a folder, or on another page. If you cannot find it that way, try a reset. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone restarts, see if you find it. If not, then go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Home Screen Layout. That should bring it back.

You could try emailing iTunes support, giving them your order number, etc. or you could just take the hit and pay the 99p. I know what I would do.

If you are in a country where music can be re-downloaded, and if it's still in the store, then you should be able to re-download as described on the page that you posted from e.g. via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone and the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes. If you can't re-download it then you can sync it back from your computer's iTunes or your backup of your downloads. They will not magically appear on another computer.
Your music will only be where you put it.
Copy it from the old computer or your backup copy of the old computer.
You buy one and only one download. It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your music.

Maybe you have multiple accounts that's why your purchase history is empty. You can try checking for possible Apple IDs that's existing for you or you can ask for assistance from support.

If you are now in the US then you can only use the US store, so you should update the address on your account
Changing country : Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account.
Had you copied the songs over to your computer's iTunes library, do they show in the Music section on it ? You can copy purchases that you still have on your iPad over to your computer's iTunes library via the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option
