I have been trying to unlock my phone through AT&T but it remains unlocked.
I've just come out of a 2 year contract with AT&T and I'm eligible for the free unlock. I follow the email I've been sent but still no joy. Do I need an AT&T& sim card in the phone when I do it? I've spoken to AT&T& and they say that everything is ok their end and I'm out of the 90 days apple care window. Any help or ideas will be gratefully received.
AT&T are the only ones who can assist you. You will need to talk to them.

Can someone please help me? I have been trying to get my phone activated since Saturday and Verizon keeps telling me that they cannot do it because their system is still was being updated or is down so to call in the morning becuase it should be up and running. I recently bought an iphone3GS from USA and jail broke it. Since I heard the there are lots of disadvantages I thought to unlock it officially through the original owner (in copy). He assisted me and confirmed that he unlocked it with AT& T (See the attachment). According to the instructions I restored the phone. But it is not activating with “Activation server is currently not available, please try again or try with iTunes”
When I try with iTunes , it says “you haven’t inserted a SIM” even though I insert the original AT&T SIM.
My current location is Sri Lanka ,so don’t have any apple support.
Please help me to be a good fan of apple. -
I have an ipad 2, MC769x it is running 4.3.3 (8j2) i have been trying to upgrade to ios 5 or higher but a) I don't have a software update option on my Settings / General screen. And b) when I go into itunes I don't get tihe options suggested on the forums. I really want to upgrade my ipad as I want to buy and install some apps that are only available from ios5 onwards. I have been a big apple fan but I am now wondering if my ipad2 was a mistake.

I have been trying to set up icloud on my ipad but after I run the program, nothing shows up on my computer screen or ipad. Have I left something out?
Thanks. That was indeed the problem. A few hints for others with this problem. You can only find out that you need to upgrade, and upgrade, by cabling your iPad to your computer. Then the next Tricky part is making sure you have your iPad purchases saved on your computer. Then you download the new OS upgrade and you will get a "start up" type of screen on your iPad with a few questions. Nowhere is there a very good explanation that you want to then go back to your computer and restore your iPad. I finally did that because there were no other obvious alternatives, though all the warnings made me very nervous. After the restore command, I synched my iPad and I seem to have everything back, and I can now access iCloud. maybe I missed some instructions somewhere, but I found this process much more obscure than the usual Apple directions. Thanks for your help!

have been trying to download cc and lightroom thru it, but no luck. just keep getting put into loops with no further activity.
If you describe your issue with more concrete details rather than words like “loops” then maybe someone can recognize what is happening and give some advice.

I have been trying to download films on my I Pad but receive a message saying insuficient storage space, update. I updated a d paíd for extra space but still receive same message and cannot download the films. Any suggestionx
The message is referring to not having enough space on your iPad, not to not having enough space in your iCloud account. Purchasing additional storage in your iCloud account does not give you more available space on your iPad.
You can check how much space you have available on your iPad by going to Settings>General>Usage. If you don't have enough, you'll have to delete or sync some data off your iPad to free up additional space. -

I have been trying to reset but the manual says "settings>general>restore" this does not appear at all so I cannot reset.
Thank you guys. Apart from Restore, accessability also does not appear under general. I have in desperation taken the steps to restore via itunes and the system tells me I shall know what gives in 16 minutes. How all these

I can get it on to the screen but then it freezes again. Sometimes it goes through the start up on repeat. I got it on once to the point where I could unlock it and attempt to use it and it froze again

I am trying to 'restore' my contacts to a new device., The new device is a very basic phone: LG Revere 2. The online instructions warn you to back up your contacts from the old phone before acrivating the new phone. The actual instructions say to do the following before activating the new phone. So the instructions have you back up the old phone, then 'restore' the contacts to the new phone (seemingly before activating the new phone). When I try this, the phone indicates the contacts have never been backed up and I get an error code 216.
I am not sure whether I need to activate the new phone first, THEN try to restore the contacts.
Worst case senario if I get this wrong is the new phone does a back up and restores nothing over my existing contacts, hence loosing all my contacts. I do not want to get this wrong.You can't restore your contacts on the new phone until it's activated; the phone needs Verizon service in order to do the restore. Back up your old phone, activate the new phone, then restore your contacts on the new phone.

There is no info anywhere in apple website about purchasing apps in India. They are selling their devices for such a high price in India and then they cheat us by not letting us download any app.

Have you contacted the iTunes Store about your problem and asked for assistance? If not, go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. Note that you must be using a valid credit card of the type accepted by the iTunes Store and issued and with a billing address in India. Cards from other issuers, cards from another country, or debit cards will not work.

I have been trying to play my movies that I purchased but they have now been down loading for a week.
Why are they taking so long?Cancel the downloads and reset the iPad (Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts off. Ignor the off slider. Then turn the iPad back on). Go back to the Purchased screen in the I.tunes app and redownload. You may want to down load one at a time.

Creating a hierarchy in an attribute dimension using EIS
we use EIS for our data/member loads. I have a couple of cubes with attribute dims and I had no problems using EIS to create those attribute dims as they did not have a hierarchy I have a new requirement to create an attribute dim with a hierarchy. I
