I have been trying to upgrade the to the latest software for my ipad and it won't upgrade

It says for the newer version of Ipad software available click here for update...I do this and it won't upgrade my device.  I'm very frustrated

Explain exactly what is happening when you try - other than "it won't upgrade my device".
Does the connection time out? If so, temporarily dsable your firewall and security software. If that's not it - more details are needed.

    you have to set up your router to solve th problem. first find and write down the ipad mac address.
    then log on to your router using your laptop or any device that can connect to router at 192.168.0.1 in your web browser. please check out my posting about how to resolve the wifi connection problem.
    i think the ios6 update has reset the networking but if you set up the router then you should not have the same problem any more.

    I am confused. Do you mean you found the music, not the tones, or you can't find either?
    If the former, then this is normal. You can't redownload tones from the Cloud.

    Disable ALL security apps - firewall, antivirus/spyware, etc. - running on you computer.

    That message means that you have to restore the iOS software because something went wrong. Follow the instructions here. I hope that you have a backup.

  • I did the latest download for my iPad and now I can not download anything from the App Store or iTunes.  Please advice how I can fix this problem?

    I downloaded the last update on my iPad and now I can not  download from the apple store or iTunes.  I just sits there and continues to act like it will but nothing happens.  And then it times out and goes back to home screen.  Have  a 32 so have have plenty of room.
    What would you advice I do?  I purchased this iPad in dec 2013.

    Double tap your home button to bring up the most recently used apps.
    You'll see the app icon below and a screen shot of the app page above.
    With your finger swipe the app page above the app icon upwards to fully close the apps (you should do this regularly).
    Now, reboot your iPad.  Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  You won't lose any data or settings.
    When your iPad comes back up, see if you can download again.

    You'll have to restore your iPad.  With your iPad still connected to your computer, press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time and your iPad will restore.

    I suggest reseting the iPad with tis procedure:
    Resetting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    If that doesnt resolve the issue, I recommend restoring the iPad from a backup.

    I Can only find music and book apps which are great and no problem with those but if I want to buy music or redeem iTunes cards, I have to go to the PC.  Can anyone help?  I have an iPad 3rd generation.

    Check settings> general> restrictions> iTunes store to see if iTunes has been restricted. If you can't find iTunes Store tap redeem at the bottom of the App Store page to redeem gift cards.

    I guess I have more then one Apple ID accounts and I own a little money on both and I am willing to pay and when I try to update and put my new payment method in my iPhone it tells me I need to contact iTunes support, the apple id I'm useing now is xxxxxxx and I know that I had one with xxxxxxx but apple won't let me use that one anymore it just say account nolonger promitted.     If it's a rental film (not a purchased film) that you downloaded on your phone then you can't move it to your computer's iTunes - from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1657:

    Well I have an update. I decided to stay as I was so far down the road. They gave me an engineer appointment of 14 of August which was totally disgusting.
    I rang up to complain and was promised a call back as they tried to expediate my request. Never happened.
    Whilst on these calls I also questioned the validity of sending another engineer unless they first checked that my local cabinet hard an available fibre port. I was promised and promised that they would put the notes on the call and it would not be a wasted engineer visit.
    Engineer came today. Wasted visit - no ports on the cabinet.
    He was not even sure why he was sent there knowing there were no ports. Talk about the blind leading the blind.
    The incompetency of this corporation is absolutely astounding even when their customers are telling them they are going to fail they lie to your face just to appease you on the phone and move you on.
    So I ordered my switch from sky to BT on June 6th.. and so far all I have is a phone line.
    On top of this I noticed that they have charged me a late payment fee by DD and full line rental for first month. BT were so slow at installing it all that my up front line rental apparently did not cover their initialy switch over. Despite telling me I would not be charged I have been charged.
    Now as a web designer I am now tempted to create basic website and use my SEO skills to push it to top of google rankings sharing with everyone of my experience of BT.

    This means that your system mail client is not set up to send mail. It's likely that you used a ''web based e-mail client''.
    Try copying your message into a normal "Compose Message" screen from within your e-mail. (Go to your regular inbox and look for '''Compose''')
