Are you using a Mac or PC? And, remember iOS 7.0.4 is currently the latest iOS version. You may need to update iTunes.

Every time I start the download process in iTunes, it stalls and nothing happens. I've tried restoring, and I've followed and tried all of Apple's instructions and directions but it still doesn't work. I do not see this specific problem addressed by Apple anywhere. After reading the posts in this community, I am sure that the problem does not lie within only my iPad. If that is the case, why is there no answer on how to fix this problem. I am at my wit's end and would appreciate any ideas...although I've tried fooling with DNS numbers, fooling with the wifi, turning it off and on, creating a new iTunes account and downloading from that account. If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

Since upgrading to Mavericks, I have been unable to sync devices (specifically ipad mini and iphone 4s) to my MId 2013 Imac . They wil rapidly connect and disconnect, and I'm unable to do anything with the device. This happens with both USB ports. Any suggestions?
MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.9.1)Obviously, syncing an iOS device with iTunes over USB is still supported in Mavericks. Calendar and contact syncing with iTunes is no longer supported. That has nothing to do with your problem.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

HT1386 Since the new update I have been unable to sync my iTouch with iTunes
A month ago I downloaded some new music and synced it to my iTouch no problem. It seems like since the new update I have been unable to sync BOTH of my iTouch's to my iTunes. When I connect the iTouch to the computer it shows up but not in iTunes. I have redownloaded iTunes with no help. It just keeps showing up as if nothing is attached.

You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
If the device is wiped by you or another, you may not be able to locate the device (although some have reported they can) -
I have been regularly receiving video tutorials from Addicted 2 Salsa and synching these to my iPod but recently I have been unable to do so. I overcame this problem in the past by making an ipod version or loading them on to iMovie and then sharing them but this method no longer works. THere is no problem viewing them on my computer and everything else synchs okay to the iPod so what is going on and how can I overcome this problem?
Double check to make sure podcasts are configured to sync to your device from under the iPod's Podcast configuration tab.
To access the Podcasts tab for your iPod, plug your iPod in and click on it from under theDevices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. This will bring you to the Summary tab. Along the top you should see a Podcasts tab, so go ahead and click on it. Here you can configure how and what podcasts sync to your iPod.
If you do make any changes to do this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button in the lower right hand corner to apply the update changes to your device.
Otherwise, are you getting any error messages when you sync your iPod Classic with iTunes?

I want to upgrade from Photoshop Extended CS5 to PS Extended CS6 Mac (I do NOT want CC) but have been unable to find this at a sensible price (or sometimes at all). Help, anyone please? This is in UK, btw!
What do you consider a sensible price? PS CS6 extended is available only when you purchase the CS6 Suite, which is around $1000 for the upgrade from CS5. PS 6, which is not extended, is about $200, but I'm not sure about upgrading to a single app from a suite. Adobe used to allow it, but I'm not sure about now. PS CC and Lightroom 5 combo is $9.99 a month or PS CC alone for $19.99 or the whole CC suite for $29 a month. The latest CC apps are "extended."

Same thing here. I love how they include this nice and easy to follow guide in the box and the KEY step for activation (the phone call) is a total fail. To verizon: the automated just says Terms and Conditions have been accepted for this number. Press 1 to enter another phone number in the order. Well, I HAD NO other phone number in my order. The message gives no other options. She repeats the same line 3 more times and after the 3rd time, it says please hold while we transfer you, call may be monitored etc. Guess what, its 2 am ET and customer service is closed?
Do you guys expect thousands of iphone customers to speak to a CSR just to activate? Why not just let us do it online? I have activated plenty of phones even LTE phones, online. Now I'm going to have to compete with the other 30,000 people who ran into this same problem overnight tomorrow on the phone.... -
I activated iTunes Match and ever since have been unable to load itunes. When I choose to open the app, a message "library loading" appears but nothing happens.. could anyone help me?

Do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the ipad to boot back up.
If that doesn't help - settings - general - reset - reset network settings - no data loss, however you will need to reenter known wifi passwords. -
Certain apps on my iphone are not working since the IOS 6 update, all at tempts to resolve this issue have failed. Has anyone got any suggestions. Thanks

I have run itunes diagnostics and when it gets to connectivity test - ports, it says no iphone found. I followed the troubleshooting steps there, but have been unable to resolve this problem. I have also tried:
1. Stopping and restarting the apple mobile device program.
2. Deleting temporary files.
3. Checking the registery files.
4. Uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 2 times.
5. Used msconfig to disable start up items that could be interfering.
I'm tired of waiting for itunes 11, hoping that it might resolve my problem.
Is there a place where i can download the previous version of itunes 10.6 to see if this may help?
